Sikey's lungs burned and he slowed to a trot. He knew in his heart of hearts he had lost them ten minutes earlier but still he could not bring himself to give up the chase. At least not yet. How could HE have been so stupid! Usually he was the one performing the crimes not the victim! He knew he should have been on his guard in a new country but he could not take his mind off the families problems back home. He had just arrived off the boat, left Ellis Island and had allowed his thoughts to wander! Had his brother made the Right decision to allow him to leave? With the impending war he wanted to be there and protect his brother, The Don and their family! However, he knew his brother had made the right decision. Sikey was an easy target, he was still learning the ropes. He knew he would be the first family member to get hit. So his brother had sent him to New York with a letter of introduction, he had to meet the boss and he would be allowed into the family and shown the ropes and be safe. For the time being at least! All that was now gone. How would his brother feel now! He had been pickpocketed! The great Sikey, heir apparent to the Scicillian mafia now running, penniless and hopeless through the rain soaked streets of Manhattan! Wouldn't his brother be impressed! Sikey had known he had lost sight of his assailants when they entered the Salvation Army Shelter! He had momentarily allowed his gaze to become lost when he heard that woman crying! He only stopped for a second but that was enough. "Hey little lady! wipe your tears, that look does not become you" was all he had said. it had took but a second but that was enough. She had the most amazing green eyes he thought he had ever seen. Then when he looked up they were gone. And that brought him to this point now! Soaked, exhausted, penniless and hopeless! He would have to become a petty criminal! OR, "I could go straight and get a job" he said
Nope, it was settled, he would work his way up from the streets and make his brother proud! |

I liked the story, it had some light, and heavy parts but I guess you need that when making a roleplay |

Trixie had been walking through the alley on her way to meet her associate, when she heard this Wise Guy telling a story of his arrival in New York. As he described the life he was leaving, she could sense the irony in him having his pockets emptied by a few gangsters. |
