I had been watching the back streets for months when I finally caught up with the goons who tried to steal from me.

See, a while ago, before I was a lowly gangster, I had connections with a scientist that specialized in particle research. His name was Fredrick. Since this is an extremely new development in the world of science, information on the subject was kept top secret by government agencies. One day the government agency that commissioned my scientist friend declared him an MIA and sent the order to have him wacked. Fredrick got word of this and sent me a copy of a draft blueprint drawing of something called a "Particle Accelerator" to keep it safe. The note he left for me said that this machine was the future and that mankind had yet to develop the technology to build it.

I took the blueprints to my safe that I keep buried under my dog's house outside. I totally forgot about the damned thing. Years go by, I'm now a Consig working with the biggest crime family known to the planet, and I get these low life goons trying to dig up my safe with my dog eating a massive steak. I go outside in riot gear and fire a couple of shots. I don't really know if I hit anybody but they weren't getting away for long.

So I catch up with these goons, reigning terror on every petty thief I saw, giving out beatings like flyers at a Louis Armstrong show. They talked. They always talk. They gave the name of their employer, a black project government agency that hired Fredrick to do research. I tie cement blocks to their feet and have them thrown off a bridge. No time for loose ends.

I had a big problem on my hands. These government clowns want these blueprints and they probably know I killed their freelanced help. I go and retrieve my safe from the dirt in my yard, taking precaution to remain unnoticed. I get the documents and call Dr_RickMarshall, he'll know who to give these to.
