Rocks, Papers, and Machetes Started by: BlackAtom on Feb 16, '16 17:10

The Detroit pollution made the sunrise turn brown on most mornings. The air smelled like exhaust and the steam from my coffee blended in with the steam that came from the laundry that was being done under the sidewalk. Paper boys were traveling in packs, making stacks of cash selling newspapers to the civilians going to work. "Read all about it! Get it here first! The infamous Durden gang strikes again!" one of the paper boys shout as he passes a paper to a paying customer. I walked over and snatched a paper from one of the paper boys. It read 'TylerDurden and his Made Men' on the front page.

I gave the newspaper back to the paper boy and went to gather my equipment from the trunk of my car. I had my saw'd off and a box of shells. I put them in the passenger seat of my Model T and pulled off. Luckily, my vision was above average for people my age so I could spot one or two of the Made Men if I really looked. There were few of them around at the time but enough of them to cause a disturbance in the businesses of mobsters everywhere. I had a real desire to do my part in helping rid these lands of TylerDurden once again. Besides, it would look wonderful on my mafia resume'.

As I cruise around the districts, I see a Durden Capo walk in to a warehouse that was used for gambling. He had a Wise Guy with him. I tuck my gun and head to the front door. Two guards were standing there, frisking some and allowing others to go in untouched. I knew I was in for a search. I make an attempt at bribery, keeping their attention off of my bulging overcoat, by passing them a couple hundred dollars. Oddly enough it worked. Apparently, TylerDurden's crew member's have a difficult time getting those ends. I walked right passed them, unsearched. The tables were full and the air was of celebratation and pot smoke. Drinks were being consumed from women's breast by middle aged politicians. It was a good party.

I scan the room for my target, looking around people as they walk by in the traffic of the underground gambling house. The Wise Guy sits with his side chicks, popping bottles like some big shot. As I approach this Made Durden crew member, I notice one of his bodyguards standing about ten feet from him, holding a machete. I thought to myself,"Why is he holding a machete?"

I get closer, about to draw my weapon and here comes the Durden Capo to save the day. I pull my gun and fire, killing the Wise Guy instantly. In all the excitement, I felt a sudden rush of adrenaline! I snatched the machete from the unemployed bodyguard and threw at the Capo, plunging it deep into his chest. The crowd went silent as he fell to the ground, but only for a moment. Once they saw that the commotion had ended, they resumed partying, stepping over the bodies as if it were a normal occurrence. I quickly holster my weapon and run out of the back entrance.
