| His Only Vice | Started by: Albino- on Feb 17, '16 06:44 |

Albino- walked the cold, dark streets. He was never fond of having a crowd of people around him, but keeping a certain level of security within the vicinity was a necessity these days. There had been a lot of bloodshed recently and seeing people walking the streets was becoming less common. Was it fear? Perhaps. Was everyone's energy being burnt out on the rebuilding of the beautiful Cities across the country? ... This was more likely.
The rebuilding of the country was always a long and tiresome graft. Everyone knew it. Some of today's Mafioso have tens of generations that have walked these streets before them. Albino-'s bloodline was newer to these shores, but even the younger blood knew the effort required to rebuild from the most worn foundations. However, both the young and old could not let this stop their daily antics. Business had to continue, the cogs could not stop, the show must go on.
Albino- had been awake for 26 hours now and even with copious amounts of cocaine surging through his body, he could feel the tiredness overcoming him. He knew the powder was no good for him but it was his only vice. A little pick-me-up wasn't anywhere near as bad for him as the stress that was caused without it. Besides, Albino- grew immune to such needless worries - life was far too short that. His thoughts wandered back to the dealings ahead of him tonight as he rubbed a little bump into his gums.
Stopping at the corner outside the pub, Albino-'s eyes wandered the surrounding area. Philadelphia really had got so quiet these days. The local mobster activity had died down after the recent shootings, but the streets were completely lacking now. No hookers... No dealers... What did everyone in Philadelphia do with their time?!
Albino-'s mind kept wandering off track. Maybe it was the cocaine. Maybe it was sleep deprivation. He was starting to get ratty and he just wanted to get the night finished and hit the sack. He was tired, he'd already decided 6 hours ago he wasn't even going to bother finding a bit of arse for the night. He just craved sleep.
Turning up the collar on his long black coat, Albino- nodded at his security. He had only brought 4 heavies with him. This wasn't the sort of business that required anymore than that. It was a relatively simple job. If it all went to plan, the idea was to walk in, grab the tubby guy from behind the bar, whisper him a few nice words and walk out with their money in hand. Usually, this sort of dealing would be passed down to someone less busy but this particular cheeky bastard had been skipping payments for too long. Apparently, a bit of criminal damage to his property wasn't enough to wake his sleepy arse up. So it was time to leave the guy a constant reminder. Albino- wasn't entirely sure how he'd improve the guy's memory just yet. He always found that randomly running with his imagination made for a better outcome. No doubt he'd soon find out. |
