Coach walks out into the streets and hops up onto a nearby car. Hello fellow mafioso. I just wanted to share my life story with whoever cares to listen. He grinned as he took a sip from his flask, cleared his throat, and began. Okay,I know most of us here are Italian,Irish,Russian, etc. Well I am America. Yup. I didn't ride here on the boat with nothing but the clothes on my back. However,I am half Italian. And I didn't start out poor. I grew up into a wealthy family...Okay,that was a lie...We were Filthy-fucken-Rich. My mother was a doctor for soldiers in the war,and my father was a lawyer. What a life,eh? No. Just because we were rich, didn't make us perfect. In fact, far from it. My father often came home drunk, gave my brother -Tommy- and I our normal beating with his belt. He'd have a few more drinks, slap my mother around and go to sleep. Wake up,go to work, come home and do it over again. One day at school, when I was 13,I was introduced to a new sport - Football. I loved it...I was good at...I played all day - every day. Well, anyways,I was playing football with some friends,my father came home, parked his car,and went into the house. I tossed the ball, and accidentally hit his car. He stormed out, drunk as usual, and started screaming. "You and that damn football, you're never gonna be any good at it anyways. You're doing nothing with your life!" "Shut up old man!" My friend Jimmy shouted. "What, boy?" He began walking towards my friend. I got in the way. "Haha..." My dad punched me in the face. The last thing I remember. I woke up in child services. They told me my father was dead,my mother was in prison for shooting him. I got everything...The house, the money, the cars. And I gave it all to charity to go live in the orphanage. Money doesn't make people happy. I believe it does the opposite. So I grew up,playing football. In college I played...I was on a team. Until I had an accident. I busted my knee opened. I quit playing and became a coach. Until my little brother Tommy was killed by some mafia boss. I had to get into the life of crime. I had to become more powerful and avenge my brother. He took another sip of whiskey. And that is how I came into the life we live. |
