Change comes to the Detroit Death Tax Started by: PedroRourke on Jan 02, '10 18:49

What do you mean he wants more money?!

The news from Hairy wasn't good. The new mayor of Detroit was looking to take to line his own pockets a little more. After sitting back in his chair for a minute, a small smile crossed Pedro's face.

Hairy, I know what he's after. He wants a bigger piece of our Detroit Death tax. So we are going to funnel some of that money in a little differently.

We will still collect the tax as we have been. However, for those who pay on time for a month straight, we're going to offer to cover their next tax payment if they meet a condition.

"Condition?" inquired Hairy.

Nothin' too fancy. But we know the mayor is a gamblin' man. Loves the casino. Since he goes himself every once in a while, he doesn't keep eyes on it. He has no idea how much really goes through it. The more we get running through the casino, the less visible the tax is.

So the condition is simple; Total games played. We know the average amount we make per pull at the slot machines, per spin of the roulette wheel, and each hand of blackjack. So all they need to do is reach a total of 3,000 games for the week and we cover the next weeks payment.

"Three thousand?! That seems steep."

Actually Hairy, that's a discount. Now we are going to have to change a few things so we aren't trying to run numbers everyday. So we are going to be collecting all payments that haven't qualified through the casino on Mondays. That will be the same day we run the numbers, totaling the games played for each of the paying families.

We'll run into a little bit of an issue with the associates. The Made men of a family stick out, and its easy to count them towards a families total. Associates sometimes blend in with the thugs, petty thieves, and civilians who also enter the casino. The only way to count them among the totals is if the family were to provide a list of who they are to us. I'm sure those family members who have already been will make the bulk of the game count anyway.

So put the word out. We'll make the change starting in a little over a week, on January 11th. Give them a flyer detailing the changes. And tell the mayor he should be happy with what he's getting. He wouldn't be the first mayor to mysteriously vanish on a weekend vacation.

Cow thanks the fact that he was born a super intelligent mammal or else this may just have been a rubix cube calculation too far for a mere mortal.

So, as a mere mortal let me give this a try.

Basicly if a CL pays 4 weeks straight 2 million per family, the 5th week he has a chance to get a free shooting pass IF his crew plays over 3000 games in any given Detroit Casino at any given game within week 4. After week 5 is passed rotation will restart saying week 6,7,8,9 are paying weeks and week 10 could be another free casino week, rinse and repeat?

I have to say I absolutely admire how you're trying to get your casino's more involved in the business.
