Wootton Bassett is a small town in Wiltshire. The town is currently famous for the informal public mourning held as hearses containing the bodies of soldiers killed in Afghanistan pass through the town from RAF Lyneham.

However, recently Anjem Choudary of Islam4UK - a branch of the extremist al-Muhajiroun movement - sparked dismay with plans for 500 members to parade with empty coffins symbolising Muslim victims through the town, which has become famous for honouring service personnel killed in the conflict.

I simply ask that anyone wishing to stop such an outrageous march which will conflict with the memorial ceremony, will join the following group and show your support for stopping the march.

A lot of friends and family members of those who have died in Afghanistan will be at the ceremony, it would be a disgrace if they had to put up with such shocking behaviour from yet another small minority of idiots.

I have joined also. To be honest, I was dismayed when I found out there was to be an anti-war march in Wootton Bassett. Dismayed, but ultimately I understand and accepted that we should be grateful to live in a democracy where this kind of free speech or freedom of action is tolerated. I was a little annoyed at the choice of venue, but I could see that it was 'sensible' as obviously an anti-war demonstration being held at such a relevant and poignant place was bound to be more effective than in London, for instance.

But, when I found out they would be making the march carrying empty coffins I was absolutely disgusted. I literally felt as though I had been punched in the stomach. Even if I wasn't from a family where almost everyone was in the forces, I'd probably still feel the same. This goes far beyond exercising the right to voice your views, it is simply inciting hatred - simple as. I would never claim to be a racist - of course I make jokes, but ultimately believe everyone is the same regardless of race. I feel I must say that as a precursor to what I'm about to, as undoubtedly it will sound a bit 'iffy'. Of the people who are taking part in this march; the vast majority are ethnic muslims, either political refugees or descendents of political refugees. Whilst they are obviously entitled to their personal views, to show such disregard and callousness to the people who's sacrifices made Great Britain a safe haven for them is appalling - so much so that it actually sends shivers down my spine.

Personally, I do not 'believe' in these wars. Like the majority, I believe Iraq was invaded to poltically remove heat from the Blair and Bush administrations' inability to gain a foothold in the 'war on terror', and for oil. I belive the situation in Afghanistan is slightly more justifiable, but we have now reached the stage where our troops are dying in order to prop up a completely corrupt government. I display my dissatisfaction in numerous ways, the donations I make and the parties I vote for surely. Do I ever blame our troops who fight on foreign soul? Never. It is very easy to forget that they don't want to fight a war they don't believe in either; but it's their job. Whilst I do not believe in the politics behind the war, I will support those who lay down their life for my country with all my heart until there is not a breath left in my body.

It seems, judging from the numbers gained by this facebook group, that I am not in the minority with this opinion; and it makes me immensely proud that the selfish cunts who organise this march are in the tiny minority. Sadly, it is unlikely to ever happen; but I really wish such people would rid themselves of such blinkered views, respect those who deserve it - or fuck off and stop tarnishing my beautiful country with their outdated fear and hatemongering.

Apparently Brown has just condemned the march, so now he needs to do something about it and maybe set it up so these idiots can't interfere. The group actually carrying out the protest are a branch of a muslim extremist group. They obviously have no respect for this country or for those who serve it with their lives.
