The message from DoctorBoom had come to meet him by her mothers grave. A curious place for a meeting, Maria had thought, but she had hastened to the spot where Anna, and many former members of The Morningwood Elite, lay. 

When she arrived, she saw DoctorBoom waiting just a little away from her mothers grave, and after laying down some flowers beside some he had left, she said a quick prayer and walked over to him, the sooner to find out the reason for this curious meeting place. DoctorBoom and Maria had been friends even as small children, and they slipped into easy conversation, until DoctorBoom came to the matter at hand. Maria was to set up a family of her own in Black Bottom, to stand beside DoctorBoom and rebuild the district. 

Maria's heart had almost skipped a beat. Upon her mothers untimely demise in Philadelphia, Maria had sworn that one day, she too would put on a bold suit and be a leader. She hadn't expected the chance to come so soon, but duty called, and Maria would do what she could to rise to the call. 

With a smile on her face, Maria had accepted the offer. And when DoctorBoom had asked her what her new family would be called, there had been only one answer. Maria's thumb stroked over the tattoo on the inside of her right wrist, of three simple letters; MdM. "I think it's time Mano di Morte came back out of the shadows." was the almost immediate answer. 

With a plan to meet DoctorBoom outside an address scrawled on the scrap of paper he'd given to her the following afternoon, Maria set to work right away in contacting some of the other children of Mano di Morte; friends she knew would jump at the opportunity to continue to build the families legacy. As she sat by her phone making calls, her eyes rested on a picture of her late mother. "I hope I make your proud mother.", she whispered. 

The following afternoon, Maria met Dexter and VladimirLenin outside the building specified the night before. As DoctorBoom handed her the keys, she turned to the small crowd of mafiosi who had either been invited or simply recognized familiar faces in the crowd and stopped to see what the fuss was about.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for turning out today. I'm happy to announce that the name Mano di Morte will be worn with pride around our streets once more, and am forever grateful to DoctorBoom for the opportunity to bring the family back out of the shadows. DoctorBoom and I have known one another since childhood; he got his first start in our world through my mothers family whilst she got her first start in our world working for his father, so it seems only right that these two families, so interlinked, now finally stand side by side. 

I look forward to working hard to build Black Bottom into a truly fantastic district and to working towards the future of the city of Detroit."

I want to personal congratulate you Maria in your new journey. As you embark on this new journey I hope you nothing but positive outcomes.

Pine heard some shouting going on over across the street and decided to take a look, as he was bored wondering around the streets of Black Bottom, while waiting on his adrenaline to calm down a bit from all the little old lady purses he had been snatch all afternoon.

When he approached, he was it was Maria and some of the fellow members of the MorningWood Elite besides her talking about this lovely building here in the heart of Black Bottom. He nodded his head a few times while Maria talked about herself getting a family of her own. Pine was over joyous with this news, he had known Maria for awhile now, and his ancestors had worked for her mother when she had run Mano di Morte in Philadelphia, awhile ago. He felt the need to say a few words to Maria as he knew that this would be a great day for her and her fellow crew mates she was bringing with her to start on her own path here.

"Maria, congratulations again my dear, I remember my father and grand father talking about Mano di Morte very fondly while they worked for you when I was just a young boy playing in the sand box in the park. I wish you the very best for now and in the future. If you need anything, please give me a shout would you? I'll always be here for you."

Pine gave Maria a little hug before slipping some of the cash he had earned today into one of her pockets as a gift to her for such a wonderful day. When she tried to protect, Pine just shook his head and walked away, back to find some little old ladies and those precious purses full of cash.

Stood at the front of the crowd, Paul couldn't help but wipe a tear from his eye. This was an emotional day, filled with happiness and a tinge of sadness. Looking around at Dexter and VladimirLenin, he cleared his throat and said a few words.

Maria, it is with immense pride that I stand here with you today as you begin your operation in Black Bottom. As you know my father Malcolm died alongside your mother Anna in Philadelphia. She was building something truly special there, snatched away before they'd had the chance to shine as much as they deserved to. We promised our parents on their deathbeds that we would continue the legacy of Mano di Morte. Now here we are, with the opportunity to do them proud, and to do justice to their memories.

It does seem fitting that we resume our families' collective journey under DoctorBoom, a man who served alongside our ancestors and whose father our ancestors served. It is an oft-used cliché, but here in Black Bottom we truly are one family. I know each of our ancestors would be smiling with pride were they alive today.

Mano di Morte lives on.

Paul steps forward to hug Maria. He knew this was the start of something great.

Demi wanted to just stop by and give her congratulations to you, Maria you deserve this! I am sorry your mother's life was cut short and didn't get to fulfill her duties as wanted I truly hope this time around is different and we get to see the great thing we should have before... You were a good leader to my mother and wish it didn't have to end but it did. I wish the best for you and your family please take care and make us proud. Thanks to the uppers who made this possible she does deserve this and you didn't make any mistakes approving her.

Vladimir was new to America after arriving from Russia. It had been a very long journey that day and he got in touch with a close friend to show him the culture differences and to help him settle down on his first days, where he decided to settle in Detroit. It had took Vladimir a while to understand the culture differences and the dissimilarities between Russia and Detroit, which had been a complete eye opener to him. 

After a short period of transition, Vladimir mustered up the strength to make his first appearance on the streets, and it could not come at a better time. After receiving his fathers journals from the coroner and deeply reading these at night, he had met up with Maria who's mother had been an incredibly close friend to Vladimir's father, where they hit it off straight away and just before Maria was to step up in Detroit to announce her authorisation to set up a criminal organisation in Black Bottom, she had asked Valdimir to be her Right Hand Man. 

Stepping up beside Maria and Dexter, Vladimir patiently awaited his turn to speak.

'Maria, our lines have now been great friends since our ancestors times in the Suburbs and reading through my fathers journals, the late Nighthawk, he spoke of how much promise there was in Philadelphia before his and your mothers untimely deaths. Standing beside you and Dexter, announcing to the masses that Mano di Morte will be returning fills me with immense joy and pride. This is a family that is very close to all three of our hearts and completely sums up the values we live by'

Taking a breath, Vladimir carried on.

'It would be an absolute honour, as always, to serve by your side as your Right Hand Man and help you and DoctorBoom grow BlackBottom and Detroit under the reins of Godfather Chairman SpikeS. We're in good hands and I cannot wait to see the future holds for us and this great city'.

After handing Maria the finest bottle of Russia's finest vodka, Vladimir sped off to continue his Right Hand Man duties and get the Mano di Morte's headquarters ready for its grand opening. 

Maria, what can I say; Everyone in this thing we have knows what your bloodline is capable of bringing. Time and time again your linage has shone and done really positive things and I expect no less of you. Its with great pleasure that I stand beside you, im really excited for the future with and this great family.
