I think my best problem right now is people thinking just because they are in a GodFathers/GodMothers crew they must get respect just because of "Hey I'm in a very select and restricted crew." It doesn't give you the right to threaten anyone from another family. I could have understood if you approached him with respect and you might have gotten your money back but no, instead you think you can boss around someone just because your with GodMother Aurora family. If anything you should be able to conduct your at your highest ability. I understand that losing 5k is frustrating at times but learn how to bank your money. The fact he thinks a Wise Guy is more important than a Boss, he should have just done it. I in no doubt believe a Wise Guy is an associate. They are nothing more than an earner and even a fall guy. They are expendable.

Hold on. Wait a second. I think people are losing sight of the real issue here. Right now I don't even care what respect this extra-large bucket of chicken wings might be entitled to under normal circumstances. At most, that qualifies as a petty side issue to the tune of $5000 and change. Call it tunnel vision if you want, but right now the only issue on my mind is that someone has the feather-brained idea they can get away with death threats towards one of my bosses, and is so confused about my stance on protecting my family that they doubled down and bragged about it publicly. Well i am going to have to say that is where the city rules come into play..Now not being disrespectful but if the city rules states that i can PP someone without there consent, best believe that your pockets are getting picked without a message from me, and if that wasn't the point you were trying to make then you would not of tried to make a point out of it, correct?

And as for a wise guy being able to disrespect a higher ranked member i would have to agree with you there, if a boss or another high ranked member other than a godfather/godmother and as well as crewleaders disrespected me then i would have no respect for them either. While Mr. Leghorn may have been trying to protect himself and stick up for his morals, he went about it in the wrong way. Upon returning from a business trip, I got back to Las Vegas to hear about said actions earlier this evening.

As, you may or may not know the city of Las Vegas does not support this type of action of coming out and publicly threatening those who have earned their bones in any of the other seven cities. There are more appropriate ways to go about handling business such as this. Not yet being a Made member and attempting to pull rank in a Godfather family will not protect you from the actions we've seen today.

Foghorn has paid the ultimate price for this, and I hope we can all move on with a valuable lesson being learned.

Forgive me if I am personally missing something, but as a button man in my family, I look upon Picking pockets much in the same light as robbing graves, something that's below me. I can earn 20 times that in a day if |I put my mind and considerabl;e resources behind it, so why would I want to pick pockets? Why would I want to risk my position and power on the off chance that the Police see me and pull me down town. Can you imagine my bosses reaction if he has to send a team of lawyers down town to get me out of jail on a technicallity just for lifting some poor joes wallet? I'd most likely end up face down in the desert if I did that...

Panda, pickpocketing is a nothing crime but people do it for various reasons.

Firstly, it's a bit of fun. The late Don Raptor made an art form of it.

Secondly, people keep records of their achievments, they might be aiming for something specific like completing 25 pick pockets in every city.

Thirdly, to irritate someone else, as is clearly shown in this case, it has the potential to annoy your victim.

Fourthly, because they can. If someone states that they will shoot you if you PP them, another person might do it just because they know that they will not get shot at, making the claim of the other person hollow.

I doubt very much it's about the money 95% of the time.

Thank you for your errudite and concise response Rhurac. I can understand these various reasons. The fun part I can understand, and some of my dear friends enjoy the fun of picking pockets, but they limit their activities to a few friends and like minded associates, thereby precluding the possibility of arrest, or upsetting someone.

As for keeping records, again this could be done without picking on someone who does not wish to be robbed. As you said, its a nothing crime, why would you possibly want to risk everything for something so worthless as picking a pocket. Not to mention the fasct that surely you could complete your records before recieving your button?

Irritating someone else, now this idea I kinda like, but again, is the irritation really worth getting killed or arrested over? Sure you might be lucky enough to know that you will succeed and that no one will see you, but that clearly wasn't the case in this instance, especially with established Pick Pocketing rules applicable in the city.

Why would you wish to dishonour someone by dishonouring yourself? And as for the claim that they would shoot you, well they very well might. Who knows how these Associates think? One of them might shoot, knowing that if he hits, its a big feather in his cap, and will piss off the family of the guy he has just shot. Sure he'll most likely pay with his own life, but there is always that prestige that a Boss was taken down by an associate. Nothing is impossible however unlikely remember.

I'm not saying Pickpocketing should be made illegal, just stating my impressions off it from a point of honour is all. My apologies that my response was not as concise as your though.
