I Get By With a Little Help (Open RP) Started by: BostonGeorge on Mar 16, '16 01:24

I knew there was no good news to come of my right hand showing up unannounced at my game of shuffleboard. Volunteering at the old folks home gave me another spot to hide some of my petty cash in there rooms. Faye knew how competitive I was and how deep my love for shuffleboard coincided with it. I looked to the two older gents I spent most of my Tuesday afternoon with and let them know that I would have to unfortunately postpone our game until another day.

Shaking hands with both men I parted ways and followed Faye into the parking lot. I noticed her hand shaking and not a peep out of her the entire walk to my car. We arrived to the car and without hesitation she spilled the beans I had been waiting to eat the entire time she'd been there. She frantically let me know that there was some sort of department store special downtown and she just had to stop. Meanwhile while she was inside shopping she had parked into a restricted spot having her car towed. There was only one major problem with that entire situation as my stash of cocaine was in the trunk.

My frustration is a regular thing if I am without my pure white Colombian cocaine. Faye knew how much it meant to me and hated that she let her shopping get the best of her. I took a second to gather myself and again went straight back to the fact that I had over a million dollars worth of cocaine in someone else possession. This was one of those times you couldn't just walk away and it was a fact that George was going to need someone to help him figure a way in to find his car.

As I was asking Faye what her plan was she quickly jumped into the vehicle I had driven up in and locked the doors. I could see she was not going to be much help. Gazing into the sunlight I could see a couple of people approaching not to far in the distance, maybe they would be a little more helpful.

Karen sat in the passenger side of the car her and her associate just picked up. It was so easy to get cars off the streets these days, even on busy, high profile streets. Some places in the country you could park in no parking spaces forever, or park your boat of a car in front of the fire hydrant. You either lined the pockets of the right officers or you lived in such a small town it didn’t matter, the biggest crises would be Mrs. Anderson’s cat was stuck in the tree again. Some city’s though, specially Downtown Detroit, there was no way in hell an officer was going to let you get away with parking in front of a hydrant, unless you were very, very close with the chief of police. Karen’s associate, Pauly, picked the car up with his tow truck ten minutes after he saw a lady park it and walk into a department store.

Pauly described the woman to Karen, but he wasn’t the brightest and sometimes got his hair colors mixed up. Plus, Karen didn’t really know how many people besides her family and some of the district looked like. Anyone outside of BlackBottom, she probably wouldn’t be able to put a face to a name. The car was a nice and new model and would get them a pretty penny at the chop shop.

“Princess, you got any smokes on ya?” Pauly asked Karen. She looked at him and half rolled her eyes, he was always bumming smokes off of her. Or matches. She never got the matches back, half the time she didn’t get her pack of smokes back. It didn’t bother her really, they grew up together and he was a good guy. Had a family, four kids. He wasn’t officially in the crime life, but did jobs here and there to put some extra food on the table. Karen checked her purse.

Sorry Pauly, all out.

She watched as he twisted the corner of his mouth into something and then turned the key in the ignition.

“Check the glove 'partment, Princess. Maybe that shoppin' lady left some in her car.”

Pauly suggested as he pulled the car out of the lot where they had left the tow truck. Which was also borrowed. At least Pauly remembered to bring it back to the right yard this time. Karen reached forward and popped open the compartment in front of her.

Pauly….

She said, trailing off and pulling out a sack of cocaine.

No smokes, but take a look at this!

WalterWhite was walking down the streets, dealing drugs as usual, when he noticed a familiar car being towed away. He didn't remember the name of the owner, but he knew that she in some way was related to BostonGeorge and his cocaine addict. Shaking his head, he went in the opposite direction of where the car went and followed the trail until the end where he found Boston. He seemed upset about something - and if Walter was right, it had something to do with the car. For some reason, Walter was always there when someone (mostly himself) messed up badly.

"Need any help, boss?" Walter asked and looked at Boston through his sunglasses. The sun was burning hot today, and he was happy he had brought his hat as well. The sun's warmth would've gone right through his "hair" and burned all the way into his skull.

It was at that moment he noticed the familiar signs of frustration. Boston's shaking hands, the nervous look in his eyes. "What did you mess up this time?"

Syndicate closed his eyes. He inhaled a very deep breath taking in the smell of the fresh cut grass. The sun beating down on his neck as he stood motionless with his eyes closed taking in everything. The wind was stronger than usual, it was coming from the south and it brought a nice breeze with it. He exhaled and opened his eyes to survey the area. He was here every Wednesday at the same time but felt the need to study the area anyways. Syndicate took one more deep breath and then raised his club high in the air. Then... In one swift motion he swung. The club whistled as it traveled through the air eventually striking the ball and sending it soaring through the air towards the hole.

FORE!!!!!!

The ball sailed towards the hole bouncing twice on the fairway and then finally rolled to a stop on the green. Syndicate turned to his associate Toby just in time to catch the face he was making in awe at the beautiful shot that just happened in front of him. Toby quickly changed his face as he caught Syndicate watching him. He turned on his cleat and grabbed his driver. He stepped up to his tee and mentally prepared himself for the shot. He pulled the club back for his practice swing. Despite the intensity of the match, Syndicate was not focused on Toby's shot in progress. Syndicate was focused on a golf cart headed their way. It was coming from the clubhouse and headed the wrong way down the cart path.

Toby followed through with his practice swing keeping excellent form. As he lines up his shot for real this time, Syndicate remained focused on the cart that was headed right at them. A similar whistling sound radiates from Toby as the club makes its way for the ball.

HEY TOBY! HEY SYNDICATE!!!!

The man in the golf cart yells out to both of them. The loud yell startled Toby in mid swing causing his perfect form to go completely caddywhompus. A loud grunt came from his mouth as the club missed the ball completely. A total WHIFF. The anger on Toby's face kept the man in the golf cart from approaching. Holding back his laughter Syndicate attempted to make conversation with the gentleman from the golf cart.

How can I help you sir? Syndicate managed to say as a few suppressed laughs still chuckled through.

Good Afternoon Toby & Syndicate; I was told I could find you guys here! I was supposed to give you this! The man from the cart outstretched  his hand revealing a sealed envelope. Toby made his way over to the man who was shivering with fear. Toby snatched the envelope from his hand. He viewed it quickly and showed Syndicate the seal on the back. It was their Crew Leaders seal Boston George. The man returned to his golf cart and before heading out apologized for scaring Toby. Toby in return stared him down until he left. Then he opened the sealed note.

Mr T. & Mr S. Your assistance is requested at HQ. B.G.

Syndicate grabbed the clubs and Toby grabbed the golf cart and they sped off as quickly as their electric motor could take them. They got back to the clubhouse and jumped right into Syndicates car, still both wearing their golf cleats. The car sped out of the country club squealing wheels and leaving a black trail behind them.

On the way to HQ they arrived at a stop sign. Syndicate waited for traffic to pass in the intersection when he caught sight of BostonGeorge's car.

Hey look Toby, there's BG right there! We can follow him over. Thats his car right?

Toby looked at the car to confirm and noticed that the driver was no one he noticed. He turned to Syndicate and said, That is definitely his car, it has the dent I accidentally put in it when we were hitting golf balls last week after our meeting. Except... Thats not him driving, it's no one I would expect to be driving his car either. We should follow it.

Syndicate turned behind the car and started to tail them for information. He turned to look at Toby and said, The boss said go to HQ, but this car is not going to HQ. What do we do?

I quickly grew tired with Fayes antics even though it was quite obvious that she was upset she had let me down. At this point I reassured her that we were going to get the coke back by any means and she wouldn't be held responsible for her irresponsible shopping addiction. Instead I told her I would reward her with another shopping extravaganza if we relocated our product and we were back on the road in no time. Fayes hair blew in the wind like a dog in the Summer as she hung her head out the window on the way back to  the headquarters.

As we were driving back towards Downtown my car passes me in the opposite direction with a woman driving it. Shit eating grin on her face along with whoever the passenger was as well. That had to be higher then hell on my supplies already and I couldn't believe what I had saw! A couple of my associates that I had contacted to meet me back home were already hot on her trail! I about scared the life back into Faye as our motor vehicle turns sideways in my attempt to flip a U-turn in our model-T.

It wasn't the best time to change lanes as two of Detroit's finest watched us burn rubber and storm off after the two vehicles heading in the same direction. The sirens blared, but I told Faye that I didn't have time for anymore bullshit at this point. She nodded and pulled her Thompson from the back seat. Cocking the gun and flipping the safety she veered out the window and let them have a few hundred round real quick. Leaving the fuzz in a hot mess in flames was the least of our worries as we had our sites on the prize.

If there was any way to catch the attention of Toby and Syndicate to let them know we were now with them that was the way. Stopping the car was priority, but finding out how they had gotten a hold of it out of police impound would be a whole different story. With the adrenaline flowing we continued to speed towards our fellow family members and attempt to help them stop these people.

Report Post Tip

Syndicate stays hot on BG's car as Toby and him debate about whether or not to follow the car. They were getting further and further from HQ and starting to think that maybe the car theft may be what the issue was pertaining to. Syndicate pointed out the squad cars from Detroit's finest who were busy eating donuts and keeping eyes out for suspicious activity. Acting nonchalantly, Syndicate and Toby passed the police attempting to blend in with traffic. Knowing there was a BOLO for his car Syndicate watched the rear-view mirror to make sure  the police did not decide to tail them.

Just then a car from the other side of the street revs its engine and leaves a trail of smoke as it hauled ass into a perfect 180 degree spin. The cops sirens blare as they chase the car that is now following Syndicate's. A parade of vehicles make their way down the streets of the Business District of Detroit until a roar of gunfire comes from the passenger side of the mysterious car behind them. Syndicate, unsure of where the bullets are directed takes evasive maneuvers and speeds up towards BG's car and away from the one sending round after round from the passenger window. All the sudden an explosion erupts from behind the mysterious car as the sound of sirens fade away. Toby opens his mouth to say, Apparently they were more interested in the cops.

The mystery car catches up with the parade as Syndicate keeps an eye on both the car in front of him and behind him. The car behind him moves into sight range and Syndicate checks to see if he knows the driver or the passenger. To his surprise his Boss was the driver of the car behind him. Thats BostonGeorge in the car behind us Toby! Syndicate exclaims.

The explosion, erratic driving of Syndicates car, and now the car BostonGeorge is whipping all over town has now caught the attention of the vehicle thief driving Bostons car. The driver starts making last minute decisions on turns and the parade turns to a chase. Whipping through alleys and on and off highway exits the three cars wreak havoc on the city streets.

Syndicate attempts a PIT maneuver on BostonGeorges car right at the spot the golf ball dent was hiding on the side of the car. Boston's car spirals out of control off the road. The engine goes dead and the two mobile cars surround it from the street side. 4 guns were immediately aimed directly at the thieves. The thieves panicked and attempted to turn the engine over.

The car would not start, they were sitting dead in the water. Then all the sudden... tuckaThucktucka vooRRRRRR, vorRRRRRR, vrooooooooooooom. The engine turned over and the car sped out of control on the dirt. Headed away from the street the car made it's way across the field. The guns that were at the ready retreated into their cars and the chase began again. BostonGeorge's car took the lead and Syndicate's car headed for the road to cut them off.

Keeping an eye on the chase, Syndicate sped ahead of the them using the road to his advantage as the two adrenaline induced drivers attempted to make haste on the uneven dirt terrain. Syndicate and Toby pulled far ahead and set themselves up at the ready on the opposite side of the train tracks. Guns drawn, they wait for the chase to approach them.

Choo-Choo! A train was inbound to their position at the crossing that Syndicate and Toby had set up on. The train was coming in fast, almost as fast as the pursuit was headed for them, this train was going to divide the chase in half. Syndicate and Toby watched helplessly as the two cars revved their engines and steered for a spot on the tracks that they could cross. The whole chase would be in vain if either of these cars were sliced in half by the 30 ton steel wrecking ball headed right for their path.

As the train got close the conductor blew the horn relentlessly to warn the drivers that he could not stop. The cars barreled forwards towards a narrowing window of opportunity. All the sudden the driver of BostonGeorge's car pulled the emergency break and spiraled out of control. The heaping mess of metal had already broken down and was in no condition to race a train. Boston laid on the break keeping control of his car but bearing down on the tracks where the train was approaching.

Syndicate and Toby pushed the safety on their guns as their shots would be useless from this range. They assumed their positions back in their car as the train blocked them from the pursuit. Gaining glimpses of information as the train whistled by them, they saw BostonGeorge's car was mobile again, racing parallel to the tracks. Syndicate and Toby took off attempting to race the train and keep as little distance between them and their target. Toby searched for any trace of BostonGeorge while Syndicate focused on the train and the thieves that picked the wrong day to mess with the Dharma.

"C'mon, C'mon." Toby muttered to himself as the train roared past the car. "Where you going now ya' bastard?"

Peering into the cloud of dust kicked up by the rough stop and the speeding train Toby trained his eyes on small glimpses of the cars racing next to one another. Toby banged on the dash of Syndicate's car.

"C'mon Syn. Keep on them. If we can get out in front we might be able to get a clean shot off." Toby felt the car roar as Syndicate opened up and floored the pedal.

Toby kept his eyes locked on the car driven by BostonGeorge. There is no chance these thieves are getting away from us. Toby glanced over at Syndicate before returning his gaze to the boss's car speeding out in front.

"You think they know who they fucked with, or just some unlucky fools?" Without waiting for an answer Toby kept talking, "Heh. I guess it doesn't matter now. They are going to learn the hard way soon enough. There is another crossing about a half mile up the tracks. Let's not miss our opportunity."

Report Post Tip

I began to gain momentum as I punched the gas peddle, Syndicate and Toby had just veered to the right and I was now in full pursuit. Uncertain about there plan as everything was moving so quickly I proceeded to get as close to my car as I could when I noticed the train coming up at full speed. FayeValentine rode along for the ride of her life as she was the one who had gotten everyone involved to begin with. I looked over to her as she had her pistol drawn and was ready at a moments notice if she could get the right shot off.

We grew ever so close to the railroad crossing when in the distance I could see my family in the distance awaiting for us to cross. We had our target cornered and this was going to be where we turned this around, but the car traveled even faster in there direction. There was no way they were both going to be able to get across the train tracks let along these mysterious people in my vehicle. Closing in as close as we could when I knew there was no turning back.

She had somehow crossed the tracks in time, but Faye and I weren't as lucky. The train knocked the back end of our vehicle off and sent us spinning. Faye was ejected from the car and tumbled a few times before coming to a stop as I was still strapped in the now burning vehicle. All this time our perpetrator was getting away with our coke.

Toby and Syndicate had a choice to make in how they were going to handle the situation as it was now in there hands. There first reaction was to access the situation and without hesitation drove quickly to the aide of Faye. Syndicate drove at light speed to where our vehicle had crashed, but as that was happening Toby got a dead shot on one of the tires from the fleeing vehicle. They continued to drive off, knowing there time was limited before the car was no longer operable.

Scooping up Faye and tending to her wound they made sure that none of them were life threatening before throwing her in the back seat to rest. After picking her up the three of them quickly drove over to the half of a car I was still belted into. Toby hopped out and with a knife cut the belt free and helped me escape the car before it became fully engulfed in flames. With Faye and I both battered from head to toe with bruises and cuts we both sat side by side in the back seat as the other two drove around looking for the missing vehicle on these dirt roads.

After scouring for an hour we came up on an open field where we could see the vehicle had driven into. With guns drawn we proceeded to the vehicle with cation. Upon arrival it was clear that it had been left by the assailant and that they wouldn't be back for it. In the back seat was Georges kilo's of coke with a note pinned to it. He read it aloud to them after he unfolded it and skimmed over it.

Dear Sorry I didn't wanna die like this,

Stealing cars is an everyday thing for my counterpart and I. Neither of us knew your glove box was filled with GOLD!

We indulged as we were terrified of not getting to have any when there is so much!

Thanks for sharing friend,

Your tires shot.

Syndicate listened to the note as BostonGeorge read it aloud.

Thanks for sharing friend, Your tires shot.

Syndicate surveyed the shot tire... And the dent from the PIT maneuver... And the trail of oil leading to the cars resting position... BostonGeorge, I believe you have more to worry about than just the tire.

BostonGeorge stared at what remained of his car as the engine made all sorts of dying sounds an engine never should. Syndicate placed his hand on the hood of the car, feeling the heat radiating from it.

Syndicate turned to Toby, "This car was still running 5 minutes ago. The thieves fled by foot leaving a trail in the dirt. They are tired and one has a limp from what I can tell. Probably suffered a decent amount of trauma during those two spin-outs. If we run after them we will be able to catch up with them within 3 minutes. We have to act now." Syndicate said.

Toby nodded, he threw his Tommy Gun in Syndicates car and pulled Syndicates spare pistol from the glove compartment. Holding two pistols Toby started down the trail. Syndicate turned to BostonGeorge and threw his keys to him. Take good care of my car, get yourselves patched up. Toby and I will finish this.

Syndicate turned on his golf cleat and ran after Toby following the trail in the dirt.
