Rae wandered into her office and plopped down on the couch. She nodded her head at WhysoSerious and Miss_Niki who were at at her desk playing what appeared to be poker. “I hope you’re taking him for all he’s worth.” She told Niki as she leaned forward watching the hand with interest. “The two of you have the worse gambling addiction I’ve seen in years.” She added. “Perhaps when this is done we can play some go-fish?” she asked them both, knowing that that game was very much more her speed and skill level. She leaned back and tucked one of her legs under her. “Now, you’re probably wondering why I’ve invited the two of you to this Pyjama party tonight. And that’s pretty simple. We’re due an expansion here in Brooklyn, and although Big_Al is going to be lost without you, as so many of our leaders are when their hands forsake them, it is time for you to do that thing.” She waved her hand in the air, “You know, start a family, here in Brooklyn.” She held up her hand as the others were about to talk, “And no, you’re absolutely right, I did not fall to bits when DannyGreene left me, but we all know he’s a special case.” She chuckled, “But I think tomorrow you should start looking for Property here in Brooklyn, Niki.” She told the woman, “I mean, maybe your Mother’s old place is still on the market?” she frowned, “too soon?” she then shrugged and stood up wandering over to the pair, “Alright, deal me in. We’re going to play some Go Fish and then hopefully get drunk and prank call DannyGreene and WiggleFanGirl4lyfe until they come over and make us snacks.

Frank blasts open the door and runs through the crew quarters looking for the toilet.  He throws up just a little bit in his mouth before finding his way there and successfully avoids making a mess.  This is a Godmother's HQ after all.  The lil' Goomba had to show a little decency.  Frank passed out for about 20 minutes before coming to do what he had to do.  First things first though - he needed another drink.  Frank blasted out of the washroom to startled looks from the crew as they were playing go fish.  Niki shrugged.  She was used to Frank being Frank already.  Frank double bubbled the first whisky bottle he found and raised it up in the air.

"Miss_niki,  I'm so proud for everything you've accomplished and I couldn't be prouder to be standing(ish) here beside you to watch you shine.  Your mother and your grandmother were exemplary members of this community, and there's no reason you wouldn't continue that trend. CHEERS!!"

Frank takes another swig before picking up a still smoking cigarette butt out of the ashtray and dragging what he could off of it.  He goes and sits down to be dealt in for the go fish game.

Rae passed the muffin basket to Frank_Gallagher and frowned, "You're going to need to pace yourself buddy, or you'll be out before we even get to the 52 card pickup." she glanced at her watch, "Which will start as soon as DannyGreene shows up to humbly apologize for being late to this meeting." she muttered. 

Frank spits out the butt and takes a large bite of one of the muffins which Rayln and chases it back with more whisky. 

"Pace??  The pace is furious and I'm a fucking drunken thoroughbred!!  When does this game get started?  How do I play this again?"

Frank tips back on his chair to get the whisky bottle more up right and falls off the back of his chair.

She sighed, "Well if you're going to pee on anything, I'd be most appreciative if you did it in DannyGreene's HQ and not mine." she told him. "I'll even pay the taxi fare, if need be."

PoisonCentipede casually stopped by, excited by the good news. He turned to Miss_Niki with a big grin on and face and started to speak,

"Miss_Niki, my father spoke about the great deeds of your mother, and I expect you to show the same greatness. As my father was grateful to be with your mother's crew, I too am honored to stand alongside you in the present day."

He turned and silently watched the antics occuring infront of him with a smug face.

Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!

DannyGreene came running down the hall and busted thru the door, hoping that he had made it in time for the announcement of Miss_Niki getting her own place.  He rushed thru the crowd of people and saw Miss_Niki at the front of the room receiving well wishes from many people.  Between Danny and Niki stood Rayln, arms crossed, toe tapping, eyes on her watch.  Danny ran right up to Rayln, dipped her over his knee, and gave her the biggest kiss on the mouth that he could muster.

Before she could respond or yell at him or berate him for being late he let go of her, nearly causing her to fall to the ground.

Good to see ya boss!!  Gotta talk to Niki!! See ya!

Danny took Niki by the hand and gently kissed the back of it.

Many congratz Niki!  You will do great things for this city, just like your mother did!

Danny looked over at Frank and yelled to him!

Frankie boy!!  Get me a drink!  Irish Whiskey please!  And one for Rayln too!  I heard she's a little salty tonight!

Rae made a face and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. She reached out and stole the bottle of whatever out of Franks hand and took a healthy swig, "Good lord man, what did you do, eat raw onions for lunch?" she asked DannyGreene before taking another chug of the bottle. "Ooooh, this should make Go fish much more interesting." She chuckled. "Actually if WiggleFangirl4Lyfe shows up we should switch it to strip poker. Just because we can." she shook her head, "Or you know, Go fish. Much safer. Less eye bleach needed." 

As the news flooded New York about a raising child taking her mother's place in the line of duty. This child bloodline was always well known her mother's time was taken too soon from us... Seeing she was able to bare a child willing to take up her place was great news. Demi walked around gathering up a crowd from the nearby bars trying to get all the town drunks to put down their beers and liquor so the swarm of people rushed to the streets still holding their beer mugs in hands. They created a circle around to hear the speech given by Rayln announcing the auth and promotion given to Niki giving her a family as her mother before her. The crowd jumped up tapping mug glasses with each other spilling beer and whiskey shots all over each other's shirts in excitement. Demi applauded giving out a loud shriek of approval as this was very much needed. 

Demi walked back into the town bar to play a few rounds of pool hoping she could hustle a few of the drunks nearby.

After wiping the tears from his eyes and taking one more shot of whiskey, Al walks out of  his office, catching Miss_Niki as she's leaving the HQ.

"Niki, once again you have done more for me than I can put into words.   As always, you were there to stand beside me, offer advice and listen to my insanity.  I'm so happy for you and will always be here to support you any way I can."

Al grabs Niki in a bear  hug and plants a kiss on her cheek before she passes him her keys to the HQ.

"Don't be a stranger, if you see the lights on, please stop in.  We're all going to miss you."

The celebratory shouts could be heard miles away, as Aislin pushed her way through the ever growing crowd in the streets. She did not want to miss out on her opportunity to offer her own congratulations -out of breath, but still happy for new crew leader, and for New York knowing what a huge asset the city had -I mean, Miss Niki's mother was still talked about in hushed tones through out the streets.

Ais finally saw an opening, and squealed in delight, and hurried over.

Ohmygod! I am so happy for you Miss_Niki! I know you are a huge asset to the city, and will continue to be a huge benefit to New York.

Aislin offered her a bottle of the nicest champagne she owned, and left so that others could offer their congratulations in turn.

Oh gosh, sorry for my rudeness...must have been too many muffins! 

Karen wipes her hand across her mouth.

Congrats Miss_Niki! Since everyone speaks so highly of your mother I'm sure you will be a great auth!!

Miss_Niki smiled at everyone that had came out to the street and given her well wishes. She had been busy all night last night sending thank you notes to the people that couldn't make it to the street, but had sent their congrats by post.

She noticed poor Karen Smith barfing in the bushes.. "poor girl, too many 'muffins' or maybe, too much booze.." She thought to herself.. no matter, it was still awfully sweet of her to congratulate her knowing how she felt about Miss_Niki's auth.. I believe it was "The Safety Dance Auth" yes.. that was it. No matter.. Miss_Niki knew what she had done for New York, without her mother's help and she couldn't let anyone bring her down...She HAD earned this auth and if bitter bettys were upset about that, then so be it. There would always be something for them to be upset about. It was just a fact of life. S

She turned to all the people that supported her and her auth and raised a glass.. "I just want to thank you all, for your love and support. You are all what makes me want to come here every day and put in the work that it takes to be a Crew Leader in New York. Thank you!!"
