Sal wanders to the balcony of his flat... his eyes red from mourning. He views the calm ocean... alone he ponders the events of the day and what the future may hold Sometimes a man is given something he seekth, but with a price unimaginable... Today, I paid that price... some call him Pontifex, some call him Leader, some call him Boss or Don... I say friend... and this friend was taken from me. We our many... and long has our journey been across the vast ocean and amidst the chaos of these shores for countless generations. We have witnessed empires flourish, generals conquer and politicians wager... in my heart of hearts, dear ole Cthulhu will be amongst the legends, those remembered. He is a great man who has captured my loyalty and respect. I do not know what the future holds for myself nor my house, but everything that I, God willing, accomplish with be in honor of him. It is my duty and privilege. Sleep well my friend... I do this all for you. I will never forget you. Salvatore sheds a tear and tosses a rose from his balcony and into the darkness it descends... "In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming" Amen. |

The world has lost someone great. Thankfully he had so many great souls around him to pick up the burden and carry on. I will never lose sight of the direction to which he steered me, nor will I ever forget him. Time will move on, He will remain in our memories and hearts forever. I know you will do him proud Sal, you and all of the others. |

Sal, my friend, my family and yours have been intertwine for generations. You know how deeply I share your grief and loss. But I can think of no one better to carry on his legacy as well as be a great leader himself. I salute you in what you have done as well as what I know you will accomplish in the future. I am sure we will find the reencarnation of great Cthulhu as fast as it comes to this new world. We are already getting a group organized for the quest and the testing of false prophets! Sal, I am sure you'll be great taking care of this recently orphaned family. You'll be a great new father for all of us. |

Cathy stands by Mr Giaquinto's side, her face marked with grief but her hands her steady, her eyes watching the crowd. When the others are finished speaking, she finds the strength to make her voice steady and begins to talk. "These dark days come to test us, to try our very mettle. Our hearts are heavy and cold with grief. The shadow cast by Cthulhu's generosity and strength has marked this world forever. Each moment spent in his presence a good lesson, lessons none could ever forget. "And yet, I cannot help but remember Cthulhu's desire and wishes for the great city of New York. I know that he would not want us to fall to our knees in sorrow, but would want us to continue the path that he laid out for each and every one of us lucky to be part of his Family. From his higher echelon to the the newest member, we were changed by him forever and it would be blasphemy to his memory to falter now. "My only wish is that we can make him proud. Can we live up to such a high standard? Impossible. But we shall try nontheless." |
