| Regarding St Louis | Started by: Oliver_Kamm on Jan 22, '10 11:25 |

A city with no structure, no Godfather, no families, little commerce and with an unfortunate history. What might be done with it? Here's an idea - in an ecumenical spirit of co-operation, why don't each of the six Godfather/mothers elect one Don from their cities to start a crew in SL? From the six Dons would emerge, sooner rather than later, a Godfather. Along the way would be trials and tribulations - but it would be a very interesting thing to witness... Your thoughts? |

An interesting proposition. What would be more interesting though would be for them to each select a Made Man / Capo. This would make it more of a race for Godfather rather than selecting a Don that potentially has the reputation to hit Godfather immediately. It may also throw up some internal (to St. Louis) power struggles and disagreements that we can all sit by and watch with some amusement. |

You wouldn't have the reputation to hit Godfather immediately, unless you can bring 30 cronies with you. You need to build a family of 30, before the godfather will speak to a Don. |

Moot point, you see what I am saying though? If someone has the reputation to hit it, disregarding the 30 members restriction, then they would still have a somewhat unfair advantage over the others. But saying that, when has this thing of ours ever been fair? |

Brutus hears the others discuss possible options for St. Louis and at first thinks that they are joking, but then sees the serious looks on the faces and decides to pipe in to the conversation... "An ecumenical spirit of cooperation? Each sending a representative? I have an idea, how about after that, they all sit around a campfire and sing 'Kumbaya'?" "There are really only two reasonable options for people in our line of work. One, our leaders ignore the city and focus on what should matter to them - their own cities; or Two: one Godfather sees the city as an opportunity for expansion and profit, and takes over by force or intimidation." |

Or if you're going to do this feel free to have a shoot out. Jesus. |

I recall seeing something similar emerge of the city of Las Vegas. However, this was long before Aurora got a hold of it. I only know of it by my grandfather's journals! |

Neither myself, nor Oliver suggested a shoot-out, at least at first glance I don't think we did. I was merely throwing the idea of a race to Godfather out there, much as Oliver was. Disagreements and potentially shoot outs may or may not occur. If the city heads were to choose their candidates carefully I cannot see this being the end-game though..... |

Hmm, that is an interesting idea given by Vitti. Has potential to be amusement filled as people race towards the goal of becoming Godfather of St. Louis. It also shows a lot of potential to make a few bucks from a few side bets and wagers on the outcome. |

I must say of how unethical this Idea is. When we could just choose the best leader to take over St. Louis. |
