Rae had her coat wrapped around her with her hands shoved in the pockets as she made her way down the streets. She had ended up working late on the accounts for Brewed Awakening, and had ended up spending the night in her office chair. As she made her way up the street her footsteps echoed off the buildings lining either side. With a frown she looked around, wondering where the normal bustle of New York was. She knew the city had taken a hit with the loss of her lovely Manhattan, but this place was practically a ghost town. She stopped walking and craned her head to see if there was anyone else around. “Hello?” she called out and frowned again as her voice echoed in the emptiness around her. Something had to be done.

She was going to go to her apartment, but instead she found her way to Miss_Niki’s HQ and let herself in. Giving a wave to PoisonCentipede and Frank_Gallagher who were playing what appeared to be a rather intense game of checkers. “She’s still sleeping, I think.” Frank called out to her in way of greeting and Rae nodded and made a beeline for the kitchen, “Thanks for the heads up.” She called back as she poured two mugs of coffee before making her way to Niki’s inner sanctum. She let herself in and gave the woman a sheepish smile. “Duty calls.” She told her as the other woman started to sit up in bed. She handed her friend the steaming mug before taking a seat at the end of the bed.

“The city needs to grow.” She said to her before taking a sip of her own coffee. “I had a thought, on my way home.” She frowned, “Sorry, do you want me to wait until you wake up a bit?” she asked her, knowing she was being just a tad bit impulsive at the moment, but she wanted her own bed and a few more hours of sleep not sitting in a chair, so it had to be sorted. When Niki held up a finger and gulped down half the mug, Rae knew she had come to the right place. “Ok, I’m awake.” Niki told her with a smile before motioning her to continue.

Rae nodded, “Well, remember when you and I were discussing your options on who you should have as a hand, and...” she paused for a second in which Niki quickly said, “PoisonCentipede” and Rae nodded. “New York needs new blood, and I think with him stepping up to help you, and how helpful he’s been to the both of us, he is the logical choice.” She told the woman. “But obviously, if you need him, I would not think to even bring it up to him.” She shrugged her shoulders, “But I wanted your thoughts on the matter.”

Niki set her coffee cup on the bedside table and then tapped a finger against her chin. “I know we discussed this opportunity, and how he’d be a good fit for New York. I will confess it feels a bit soon for me, but I suppose this is as good of a time as any. Putting it off isn’t going to change anything.” She laughed, “Alright, let me get ready for the day and I’ll meet the both of you in my office.” She told Rayln. Rae stood up and nodded, “I will get him to join me there. And don’t worry, I’ll bring more coffee.”

Rae chuckled as she made her way back to the front room, “PC, Niki wants to see you in her office in ten minutes.” She said to him before she went to get the pot of coffee and go sit and wait.

When Niki came in both of them were sat on the couch in her office. “I figured casual was a bit better for this.” Rae said as she motioned to the coffee both. Niki smiled and took a seat in her chair before scooting it a bit closer to the pair, “Well, Rae, it’s your news. But PC, you should know that this has my full support.” She told him.

The man looked between the two women and tugged at his collar. “Why do I feel like I’m about to get some bad news?” he asked them causing Rae to clap a hand over her mouth as she started giggling. Once she composed herself she managed to say, “Oh nothing that bad.” She told him. “No, I’ve spoken to Niki about you before. She’s told me about how you’ve stepped up around the Forsaken to help out, and how she couldn’t manage without you.” She winked at Niki before continuing, “So in true New York Fashion, I’m going to give you a chance to prove yourself further. How do you feel about making a New Home in Brooklyn and showing us what you can do?” she asked him, watching his face closely as it went from concern, to happiness and then back to concern again. She shook her head, “Theres nothing to worry about, You’ll be fantastic. I have complete faith in you. And I know Niki here does as well. And there is no one else we’d like to have help New York re-grow.” She snickered, “Some more.”

Miss_Niki continued sipping her coffee as she smiled at PoisonCentipede .Although, she was sad he would be leaving her, she was very happy to see him strike out on his own. She knew he was just what was needed to help breath new life into the city.

Frank overheard the news and blasted open the door to find Miss_niki , @Ralynn , and poisoncentipede discussing things going forward.  He stares at the coffee and turns his nose up, and promptly raises his whisky bottle up and drains a good portion of it.

"It's never too early to rid myself of the delirium tremens!!  PC, it's been a pleasure to stand here beside you and watch you grow into the mafioso you have become.  You have earned this opportunity without a doubt, and I know you're going to seize it!!  I'll miss our chats here in the HQ, but be sure to keep venturing out into the district to say hello.  I will do the same!!"

Frank picks up a cigarette butt off of the ground and goes back to his favorite couch to ponder some more societal problems.
