My Story. Started by: Tugaone on Jan 27, '10 16:13

Tugaone walks inside the crowded room. He is still nervous about the speech.
After all, It's his first time all alone in public, and telling the story of his - still short - life was tough.

Errm - It was the sound he made while trying to clear his voice - he was really nervous.

"Hello everyone... I'd like to thank you for stopping by first of all - I'm not well known around, nor am I important. Some will say I'm just another one in the crowd, a single drop in the ocean.I have to agree.Even tough, I am one of the drops of the ocean.
The ocean needs me, as he needs every other drop - from the bigger ones to the smaller ones.
I remember the say I came like it was yesterday.

I still feel the smell of the boat and seawater, and still hear the sound of my loved Italy, who I had to left behind to have a chance to succeed at life.
That Day was the day everything changed.I remember seeing the Bum in the pile of Rags, and I remember the advice he gave me - Those words were precious, and helped me succeed in the short time I've been around.

What's next you ask?
I met my advisor, my sponsor.

His advice were golden, and without them, hard times would come for me, as a small gangster.
TheDeathCalls was his name, and he shall be remembered for as long as I or my child live.

He got me into my family, and he made me what I am today.

I cut all the kinds of drug deals since then. From snatching a old lady's purse, to Robbing the Post Office - not forgetting the prostitution rings."

Tugaone looks no longer nervous. In fact, he sees the crowd has some familiar faces.

"I have to talk of other people that have helped me.I will have also to talk about the city I came from.
I am now in Saint Louis. But It wasn't always like that.
As a matter of Fact, I learned almost everything I know at the moment - which isn't much, but it's enough - in the lovely city of Philadelphia.
Oh, how I miss it!

I still walk by, to cut a occasional drug deal, or to see the old faces- even to ask for some advice, since I still need much advice, and I always will - We are always learning."

Tugaone gets up from the lonely chair in the middle of the stage. He looks at the bar and says:

"That will be all, for now. I just have one last message, and this one goes out to you.

Every single one of you out there - not the Made's
or Bosses, but the Thugs, The civilians and the Gangsters.

It is possible to succeed in this world. You just have to work for it, like I did As you are, I also was totally new, and not too long ago.

I want to look at you someday, either as a friend or enemy and know that this speech today, this 'story' - If you want to call it like that - helped you.
I want you - Yes, you. - To succeed at this.
Stand up for yourself, and you'll make it."

*Still somewhat sober he stumbles into the crowded room. Bumping into some important people listening at the back. He swiftly makes his excuses to continue his journey to the front of the stage. He tries to get on stage but within a second he falls flat on his face. He picks himself up and addresses the crowd....*

"I think you are one lucky man. Most of the people who try to become at least something in this world of crime succeed for a while but they all fail at a certain point not too long after they just started. You speak of loyalty and respect about your contact in this thing of ours and that is probably still the reason you are out here.

I think this story can be an example to all new mafioso standing in this crowd. You can be the best wheelman, have a nose for good drug deals or perhaps the best doberman in this town...without respect you get no where."

*He stares at the man sitting at the bar drinking a glass of whiskey after holding his speech*

"Sir, you start this message by saying you may not be known or important. I like to disagree, like you said you are one of the drops in the ocean, those drops combined form the ocean. I don't think rank or popularity is a matter of having people listening to you. It's what you have to say. I believe this story can be described as a successfull story for so far and may allow youngsters to become even more motivated in this thing we do. I already met you several times in the coffeeshop and I sure like to hear more of your public speeches."

*While making his way to the bar to join the speaker, he lights up a spliff and offers Tugaone one as well*

Going through the croud, TDS goes up and gives Tugaone a strong handshake.

Well, my father... I'm proud of my father. It's good to hear to ever more good words about him.

I'm sure that you're one special guy, as my father did have an eye for special guys.

I wish that you succeed like my father did and even more.

While leaving, TDS sees some familiar faces and has a chat with them.

TP looks at Tugaone. Some might notice but he did. This guy is just a gangster, he migh run with good crew of St. L. but he's not there yet. TP knows it, he has to tell them.

TP looks at Tugaone and speaks to him very politely yet with voice known to man who are sure of their knowladge or social position.

Dear Tugaone. You say you made it. Well you didn't. It is true, you have achieved something, as i know you. You are good man, a mafioso that every Don would like to have in Family.

Although you are not Made yet! That's why you didn't. And I'm sure you will get there soon. Your speaking here proves your bravery, and Made has to be brave, but also and maybe most of all, fallow rules :)

I am glad you have spoken so openly to youth of this world.

And I have to make note. You can get somewhere, but you will not be known in the World of Mafia if you will not be active on the streets (OOC: post more, but! yes... one BUT!) but! your actions (OOC: posts) must be of value, not just quickie. Make it something more...

show  us you are worthy to this land.

TP thinks he overdid it, as usual anyway,

Thank you ThePerfumer, Your words are very touching, And I will sure follow your advice. But remember, sometimes there are places that do not require our actions.
I'd like to thank everyone who came to talk to me either in the stage or in the backstage area, I appreciate the comments and tips.
