Will popped the top on some champagne bottles...and stood at the front doors and motioned for people to come in. He went inside for a moment and waved to the band to play louder. He heard the first knock on the doors, and motioned for his guests to come in. Well, now the night can begin. Welcome to our house! Will stood at the top of the stairs, facing the large foyer below him. The guests filled the foyer and spilled out into the streets in front of Will's downtown Detroit HQ. He smiled at his guests, and continued. Well, it's been a big couple days out here on these streets. All these important people talking about...well, talking about being important. Other, even more important people talking about being disrespected. And even others are talking about killing for money? Or following rules? Hmm, we'll get to that. And of course, there's always the nuts and pastries. So, I decided it was my turn. I don't really have anything to say. Ha..I just decided to open up the HQ for a party so you all could see the inner workings of a crew. (That's a lie. I do have plenty to say.) See if I could answer a few of your questions, and answer a few of my own. And, ultimately, to have a good time with the umimportant people like me. (I'm not really going to answer any of your questions that I find inappropriate or too revealing.) Will walked down a couple steps so the people in the streets could hear him. Listen, I don't claim to be important at this point in my life. I certainly don't hand out my business cards on the streets. Bahahahahahaha. And I don't really care if others do. You want to come out to the streets and recite the reasons why you're more important than me, or others...okay. I say, do it! Better you than me! Even if you're doing it for humor, it may leave a bad taste in people's mouths. So, I'd be careful with that kind of stuff. On one hand, I agree with Mollusk and would applaud the effort to come to the streets. I love to see people out here. They entertain me, for the most part. It's hard to be funny. It's hard to come out to the streets. If I'm going to try to be funny, I'm probably not going to do it by insulting 75% of the community. But that's me. I'll probably insult 10-20% of the community, tops. It may be the wrong 20%, but hey, we can't all be perfect. But dude went all out and slammed 75% of you! Errr, I mean us. He slammed us. Shame on him. see what I did there? I just totally put the blame on you unnamed important person! Another leader I really like came out today and talked about being disrespected by the civilians and petty thieves. This topic was near and dear to my heart because I'm sure somewhere along the way, I've talked about this too. And he's totally right, nobody gives a fuck what civilians and petty thieves think or say. But here's what I'm going to say on this topic, and I've been guilty of this myself - why do we continue to give them a pulpit from which to preach? We point to them and say - you don't mean shit! And they don't. But I think my plan in the future is simply going to be to ignore them. If nobody listens to the insanity that spews from their mouth, then they will just drift away into nothingness. I say that now...but I may or may not have something to say about civilians later on in this speech. Oh, and I can't forget about one speech I saw the other day. Something from another crewleader about a crewmember who took a shot at a crewmember from another crew because she was on the hitlist for a substantial sum. Perhaps I didn't quite understand it because it was confusing on its face. Was it condemning his former member for not following his rules? Or was it patting him on his back for going after the large sum of money? I couldn't quite figure that out. So, here's a question - do rules mean anything? You (general you) have a set of (extensive) rules that you expect your family to follow...but hey, there's a big bounty on somebody in another family. Throw the rules out the window? Go for the cash? And what if the hit is successful? Then what? Now your member has killed somebody in another crew? I'm sure that other crewleader will be perfectly happy to accept the explanation that 25 million dollars is a lot of money. So, I enjoyed my walk through the streets this week. I'm so happy to see them so active with such interesting topics. I'm sorry it took so long, but thank you for listening. Now, come in to our great hall, and enjoy some food and drink. Will motioned for several guards to open several more sets of doors to the great hall, where tables of every possible type of food and drink has been laid out before the guests. Please, come ask any questions you might have about the inner workings herein. Otherwise, enjoy some food and drink. We have just about everything. ...except...muffins. There are no fucking nuts or muffins here. |

Rayln found her way to the streets and looked around. She stopped to listen and even when the talking was done she just stood there. In the middle of the street. |
