| A honorable way to kill someone | Started by: Glazer on Feb 03, '10 08:02 |

Glazer was in a local bar, talking with a bunch of other mobsters. He decided to ask them all a question that had been bothering him for a while. If you had to kill someone in the most honorable way possible how would you do it? |

Darth Torin nods his head. "Honorable? By giving him a quick death, ease his suffering." "But then again, that's so boring..." Torin laughs at the thought of giving some unlucky thug the meaning of agony. |

an honorable death is giving the other man some chance so he goes down in glory. but of course make sure you are the one to win that fight |

Killing someone is something that needs to be done either for business reasons, or to set an example so that other people do not do whatever stupid thing the dead guy did. It should be done coldly and without emotion, much like stepping on a bug. Honor is not relevant here. Honor applies to being a man of your word, standing up for your family, and upholding the respect due a made member of cosa nostra. It has nothing to do with how a rat should be killed. How a person should be killed depends solely on what they did to earn their death. Some offenses are so grievous that the person should be tortured. For example, the common way to kill a person who betrays the family is a single shot to the stomach, and then to let them die slowly from their injuries. For someone who is a loved family member, but who fucked up somewhere, a quick and clean shot to the head is the way to go. |

Theres never honor on killing someone. One way to do it, is to give him a second gun and tell him to put it to his mouth and pull the trigger. Second way it to burried him alive, which is the Texas way. Very Cruel Way. But the best way to kill some is to make him suffer before killing him. |

Honor isn't the concern of the killer, but the one being killed. An honorable death is earned by one who doesn't beg for his life, whimper or stall. When death is inevitable, face it like a man. That's an honorable death. Killing isn't in the realm of honor, it's in the realm of business. You do it however you need to do it. |

I'm a bit appalled at what goes on through some people's heads... What's honorable about killing the loved ones of your actual target? What's honorable about extending a death as long as possible? I think this is revealing a little too much about what is really going through their head and perhaps we are dealing with serial killers rather than mobsters. In any case, it has already been said that honor is not related to the way of the killing and more related to the way of facing your own death. |

I assume your comments were directed at me, CrazyNine. You just said it...honor has nothing to do with killing. So then why are you questioning the tactics used? Especially a tactic that is so common throughout mafia history as going after the family of a mark? By all means, let's start politely asking our contracts if they would kindly show up at the proper time and place, then hold still while we lodge a bullet in their heads. It has nothing to do with honor. Killing has to do with revenge, efficiency, and business. If the situation warrants it, the death should be painful. This is not just my way of doing things, this is the mafia's way of doing things. Sometimes a person knows he is going to die, so he is disrespectful or defiant, or maybe tries to take a few of yours out with him. How do you slap him back in line? Go after his wife. He might not care about his own life, but he probably cares about hers. How do you deal with someone that you just found out has been giving the Feds every piece of information possible about the family? Gently insert the euthanasia needle and watch him drift off into a peaceful slumber? Hell no, you make sure the dirty rat suffers. Call me a serial killer or whatever the fuck you want. Labels do not matter to me. I perform a necessary service for my family and my methods have been proven time after time to be quite effective. |

Once again, Brutus is a soothing voice of reason. There is no honour to be found in killing, nor glory. Killing is a last resort, sometimes not even that. Our thing is something of profit, not of bloodshed, and to even raise the topic displays a profound ignorance of why we do what we do. You want honour? You'll never find it in death. Comments from those like Glazer, Torin and Clowned make me scratch my head in bafflement. How can you do a job that you don't even fully comprehend?! |

I agree.. If you have to resort to killing, I can't find any honor for the one who dies.. If i got to the point that I wanted to kill someone, I would definitely Not make it honorable.. |

Singer stares in watching the discussion then thinks why is there another conversation about such weird things. After hearing Crazynine Singer thought there is no way anyone could refute that but brutus had seeing a couple people agree with this Brutus so Singer enters. Maybe a wise guy might have a little wisdom. My dear friends if you would allow i have a concern about what you say. You see you say that there is no honor in killing that maybe so but i think there is honor how you treat each other. You are not a serial killer for a serial killer is one who kills numerous victims at one time. To be honest with the way this sounds its quite savage. To say there is no honor in death is to call history a liar. From achilles To Hektor. Even to the samuri. There is an honor in killing i believe, its if you choose to believe. Now if you dont get my examples ill be happy to explain. And finally the death blow my dear friends you say that the mafia has always done this but if im correct no mafia ever has. Here all we do is pull a trigger and youre gone. Its almost like pushing a button. So truthfully, you nor anyone else here has made anyone suffer. So while you spend your time reading this article on everyones views and you try to represent your family the best way you can you fail to realiz one thing my friends. In the end the only thing that matters isnt how you tortured people, but how you loved people. last sentence is a little philisophical i know but i thought you would understand. Singer looks at the Bartender smiles Anyone want drinks? |

Brutus, my comments were not directed to you at all. Like you very well said, you kill for a reason, either to punish a misdeed or to get certain people to do what you need them to do or to keep them in line. Whatever the case may be, it doesn't sound like you kill "for fun". You do it when it makes sense from a business point of view. I was actually worried about people like Clowned, trying to extend the death just for the sake of it, all the while grinning while he says it, making me think that he is enjoying the sight just a little too much. Also IRON, who mentioned picking their loved ones off without saying that he is doing it just to get the rat to come out of the hole. again, it sounded to me like he was just enjoying watching the man suffer from seeing his loved ones die. Again, you, Brutus, killed his loved ones to get to him, not just to see him suffer. At least that's what I thought you meant. |
