Casino Rob

How about if we can rob users casinos?

I was thinking this would be a high risk of getting caught but you would have to improve your skills like you have to do with every thing esle. Like I would say the better you are at Pickpocketing the more chance of success you have of robbing the casino but you would need a hell of alot PP's to get away with the casino rob and long hours of training.

And if you are the Casino owner you would get a personal xxxxx tried to rob your casino. or an unidentified person walked away with 150k. I was thinking that the highest amount of money can be taking is something like 30%  of the money within the casino.

What do you think about it?

I think this is MafiaReturns not Oceons Eleven. Although I do love that film lol

Armed robbery period on user establishments would be a great MUCaddition... i would suggest it be for made men and above. cool idea. :)

This idea personally seems a good idea, and with the other discussions that have been held previously about MUCs there are great potential for these ideas to add another degree of gameplay.

This could be one of those MUCs where the skills trained are important for the job; this would definitely have to be a family MUC, if it is based on skills as you wont want people outside your family to know what skills you have. E.g. in this case you may need someone with good info as a look out, another member with good stealth to be the get away driver, the person with good PP skills to break into the vault, and you may even need someone with a good gun in the case things go belly up.

The issue with this suggestion is how much will/could it be used?

The vast majority of casino owners are strong characters. If you believe for a second that I, or the majority of casino owners, will allow my casino to be robbed without demanding massive amounts of compensation and/or killing the people who try... sadly mistaken ;)

So, if it is to be implemented, this side of it has to be built in. Obviously, there needs to be some risk attached to it, so how to balance it? Personally, I believe it'd go the same route as 'mugging' in which it was totally outlawed by player rules.

I think this debate was easily quashed with "I think this is MafiaReturns not Oceons Eleven."

*Matterhorn prepares to rob Deimne's casino as soon as this function is active*

Report Post Tip

Yeah, I'll find it hard to see casino owners NOT shoot people or have them shot for trying to steal from his/her casino. It'll be outlawed, and never be used unless someone wants a death wish. I don't see a reason why we need it.

The difficulty of robbing the casino would have to be based on the strength of the defense of the person running the casino, and would have to include an element of critical failure, IE Wackback. Also I'd limit it to each casino only being robbed once per day.

Would also have to be a multi user crime, as I doubt any one mafioso would have the strength to take down a Mafia controlled casino on his/her own.

A similar idea may be to allow people to run a casino scam, as a standard MUC which pays no money immediately, but gives a boost to casino earnings and percentage chance of winning for a few hours to those involved who then go to the target casino. In the 20s and 30s this would be much more likely and easier to pull off as you just have to make sure the Pit boss doesn't know that you are counting cards or using magnets to alter the slot machines and roulet tables.

Agreed Capo Blagger. . . I guess robbing a casino is from a real point of view very flippen hard... the next best suggestion would be taking over or robbing user DFP's or businesses. I've brought this idea up before. And some players said that it takes away from the RPG perspective.... any suggestions to this?
