Does it bother anyone else that the word failure is spelled wrong within the game? 

For instance, when you fail to break someone out of jail. It might say, "Falure. You escaped but -wordslinger- did not." Or something along those lines.

There is an I in failure!

Falure is a long tradition in the game.  It's not going anywhere any time soon. :)

I remember when I first played mafia several years ago, we brought this up and as I remember everybody decided that "Falure" has its own personality and style and should not be changed.  

Anyway, I never fail so I totally forgot about this misspelling. 

Haha well, if it's so steeped in tradition, then by all means don't change it. But still. It kinda bugs me. :P

I think the time has come to change it to be honest. The people who actually remember why this typo exists are far outweighed by the people who, like wordslinger, are a little bemused at such a glaring error.

I never noticed that. I guess most people just don't care about a couple misspelled words.

Ha, well, some of us do care! Me included... I dunno, I'm kinda in agreement with Noah... if the number of people like me, who didn't know about the whole thing, outweigh the number of people who do... maybe it SHOULD be changed. I dunno. 

Or!!!! You can go make your own bad ass mafia game and make the correction yourself?

One misspelled word here or there isn't a real bad thing. They spend alot of time on this world of ours so we can overlook a few mistakes :).

MarcelloCaifano, I wouldn't call them "mistakes" as they are made on purpose. I believe the original typo wasn't even done here but brought over from .org. Or wherever it came from, they could have very easily corrected it by now if they wanted to.

I am also wondering why the need for a whole topic on something that could have been asked casually to dozens of people, either in the same crew, the same city or anywhere in any crew. Most of us actually know where it comes from.

Ultimately, I'm torn as to what I would do if it was up to me. I have grown used to "wacking" and "faluring" a jail bust here or there. But I also understand that at first it shocked me too. The first few days of my playing here I was wondering if the coders knew what they were doing if they can't even spell right. Thankfully, the game already had such a hook that I decided to overlook that. :)

yeah i think there lots of good things to look around so why make an issue of something not everyone notices :)

I thought Falure was spelt Falure, not Failure. Oh noes!

@The_JesTer: I wasn't really making an issue out of it... I was just wondering why it was like it was. :P

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me whether it stays or goes. If it were me, I would fix it, but I'm okay with keeping it too.
