My idea is pretty simple I'm not sure if anybody said it before tho anyway I think there should be a type of rockets that would pay a certain amount of money daily depending on which type it is I also think it will get better purpose for controlling cities and it kind of adds a little bit of a tire more sense no I'm not talking about the DPF things you shouldn't be able to buy them you should be able to take them over and have to defend them from others mobsters and The Darden family as well but that's just my opinion what does everybody else think about that idea |

Aislin- I am going to try taking a stab at what I think he means: Leaders of cities - and maybe individual mobsters; not sure his thoughts on this though I would think it would need to be a crew thing - would be able to set up rackets. The most well known of these would be protection rackets that the mob was notorious for setting up. The crew would be required to defend their racket and would earn a specific amount of money daily/weekly/whatever for keeping the racket open. Other common ones are construction schemes, money laundering, etc. The basic idea would be that an individual or crew would be able to run a large crime over an extended period of time but would have to do something to be able to keep it from being able to be taken over by someone else.
Please correct me if I am misinterpreting something Vinny. ------ That is my understanding of what he is suggesting, here are my personal thoughts:
The idea is kind of cool and could add a new flair to the game, however, a couple of things would have to be considered. First, as I said, given the nature of crime rackets they should, in my opinion, be run by city leaders and their crews, not just individuals. This is because traditionally they were large operations that took large groups to pull off, muscle, brains, connections, etc. If that is the case you have to consider how it would pay. Do you pay just the crew leader and let them pass it down as they see fit? Do you pay a specific amount to any member involved in the racket and then let them bump up to the boss? I personally think the best way to do it would be to allow the leader to set up the racket with members set up in different positions and getting different percentages based on their role - the members would then be taxed as the crew leader saw fit. Second, what would determine the success of a racket? Alluding to the above I think that people should be selected for individual roles and based on their rank/stats you could use some kind of algorithm to determine the percentage of chance for success on a daily basis and pay out or not based on if they succeed for the day or not. Third, how would you determine if someone else can take over a racket. You mentioned that you think that the racket should have to be defended - that points to you believing the way to take it over would be to whack the current people running the racket. If that is the case I would say it would be simpler to say that whoever is the crew leader in the city has the opportunity to buy a racket if one is available (make a set number per city the way the DFP is). That way you don't have to build in any new mechanism for how one holds on to it.
Finally, and this is the biggest wrench in this. This is VERY similar to how an OC already works except that you would not be trying to put a teamtogether every time but instead it would be something your crew would have set up long term. I think it could be a cool idea but it would have to be thought over to see if it is different enough to actually add a new feel to the game. |

I agree, Rockets would make fort bombing so much easier. Izzy will get to it right after fries are added. |

| But I think one way of protecting it would be to set up guards would be something like The Bodyguard system | |
