Cin had been having a long week. She attended a funeral she wasn't thrilled to be at, and watched a lot of salt flying around the streets. She knew there was reasoning for this and then she sat back and looked upon her own situation as she saw it. She shook her head as she looked around her.

"I get more than anyone else that there are times that you feel like there is nothing to left to lose or to work for. You watch decent leaders ridiculously gunned down and you hope for some sort of answer.  There really is no answer that will ever be good enough. The people at the top want to stay at the top and good lord if you are any bit different then they are you may as well just fall asleep now.

At least that is what it feels like, right? There is a really important question that every situation like this comes down to."

Cin paused and rubbed her head. She was beginning to feel the headache that had been threatening her all evening. Moving her hand to brush her hair back she lifts her head again.

"The real question is, how do you deal with it? The most common ways we see are roguing, falling asleep in our beds, or just plain getting through it. So let's examine these three options a little better.

If you decide to rogue then you are gaining some form of vengeance. Now that seems great, right? Wrong. Logically most rogues don't hit the people that pissed the off. Why? They are buried under protection that their members work hard to keep up. So who are they really hurting? The hard workers. Ultimately roguing doesn't hit the right targets, but rather others. This of course does damage the family in some way as any decent leader doesn't wish to see their members gunned down.

So instead of roguing, you fall into a coma. Somehow you managed to get knocked around so badly that you just sleep. You aren't very productive, which I am sure hurts your leader because they are gaining nothing by sheltering you. I get it, you just needed that break that turned into a "until death" thing.

The last option is just to continue to work through it. This is the hardest thing to do because you recognize that your work is deemed worthless to any hopes of moving up. You could work harder than anyone and still be screwed because you aren't like them. For me this seems like the higher road if you can find a leader that at least can accept you aren't like them. It's the chance to prove you can be the better person. Maybe there is a sliver of hope later on down the road."

Cin continued to watch the salt fly in other conversations and she takes a seat to wait her turn.

"Which option would be best one to go with when you have nothing to lose?"
