With all the careful planning done for the New York location, expansion seemed inevitable with the many customers it had brought in. K_W did a fine job getting this business off the ground, and now has entrusted his newest employee with the grand opening of the restaurant in the Detroit area. With the same refreshing look and feel, now not only can you get the great taste and service from the slums of the New York location, but here in the slums of Detroit as well. walking to the front Goliath posts up the menu just outside the door. Ribeye Steak $2 T-Bone Steak $5 Grilled Chicken Breast $2 Spicy Turkey Leg $1.50 Mutton Stew $1.75 And introducing a Detroit favorite: Kolwalski Kielbasa $3 With the drink menu speaking for itself, the place was ready to officially open. "Hey K_W what do you think of the place? My old man would enjoy this eh? Heading back up to the front, opens the doors and latches them to the sides of the wall. "Come on in, one and all" |

As K_W was heading over to oversee the start of Goliath, his new star employee, of opening a franchise of their restaurant business in Detroit, he made sure to stop by first in NY at the attorney's office of Edward. After hearing all the paperwork was in order, as well as having checked with the GF Spikes of the city they were opening (Special GF discounts were offered and accepted) he gave the all clear signal to his business partner. As he was aware of the sight location, the full renovation of the interior and the modifications to the garden to accommodate an awesome grill there, he decided to come by the place and check it out.
Hi Goliath, This place looks amazing, I see you kept the franchise style but you gave it a great own swing to it. I love the bar it looks so modern with the bricks bare instead of covered up. You also seem to have things thightly under control. I hope we can attract some of our regulars here as well in case they don't manage to stop by in NY. Maybe I should hit the streets and ask some familiar faces to drop by.
I just went to buy some cupcakes and i saw Hestia, _Hafid_ and Innocenza there, maybe they get hungry later on. Did you remember to invite our close relations Rose, Aislin- and Mrssmith??
Anyways i hope this place gets booming too, and while we wait can I get an icecold iced tea? |

Aislin- was cold, the wind had decided to be like Nike and just do it. She was saddle-sore -not that she had been on a horse or anything, but being in a car for ten hours from New York to Detroit was bound to make one sore in some rather uncomfortable places, all because she wanted to check out her friends new business. Her friend Goliath had phoned her a day or so ago telling her of his employee status with K_W. He wanted a legitimate business aside from this life of crime, better known as the mafia. She smiled fondly recalling that day, not really taking him seriously, but as she stood at the entrance of their business it appeared she must now stand corrected.
Aislin- opened the door, and walked inside. The place was awesome with a killer grill in a beautiful garden, swanky jukebox, and beautiful waitresses that were just that little bit more friendly Aislin- decided right then and there that this place would soon be the place to be. She saw Goliath at the bar, and headed over. Hopping on a bar stool, smiling she said, "Can you by any chance make a Vodka and Tonic?" |

Wiping down glasses at the far end of the bar Goliath hears a framilliar voice at the bar. Turning he sees Aislin-, big grin ear to ear "Aislin- how have you been? Vodka and tonic coming right up." "You didn't travel all this way just to check out this place did ya?" Goliath says with a smirk. Placing down a napkin and putting the drink down on it, Goliath slides the vodka and tonic carefully in front of Aislin- |

It had been a long day in Motown and after a few successful attempts snatching purses from unsuspecting old women, Rathbone was feeling hungry and weary. It only took a moment for him to remember... "Hey, Goliath and K_W have an awesome place right here in Detroit, where I can grab some grub and a strong drink!" A few minutes later, Rathbone had arrived at the unassuming location, just outside the hustle and bustle of the busier part of the city. After pausing to read the menu outside the door, he decided to listen to his grumbling stomach and enter the place. As he headed towars the bar, he noticed Aislin- sitting at the end of the counter and being served a large drink by Goliath. He nodded his head in the direction of the fellow New Yorker, then pulled up a stool on the opposite side of the bar and took a seat. It didn't take long before his host was standing, smiling in front of him. "Hi there, Goliath. The sound of a medium rare T-bone sounds great. I'm pretty hungry, though, so I think I'll try that Kolwalski Kielbasa, as well. Any chance I can add a nice tall lager to my order also?" |

Hestia had heard so much about her good friend Goliath's restaurant, K&I Western Grill Garden. She had wanted to eat there for awhile but always felt so awkward going into restaurants to eat by herself. She always saw old people sitting by themselves at tables and it made her sad, and she could just imagine how she looked sitting all alone.. She stood in the walkway, waiting for the hostess to seat her, and when she did and was handed a menu and asked for her drink order, she said, "Could I possibly get a Martini please? If not, just a water. Thanks." While she waited for her drink, she pondered over the menu, trying to figure out what she wanted to eat. |

As he heard Goliath was away on business, meaning procuring the best cuts of meat in the country, K_W traveled over to his subsidiary restaurant to check business, the books and the staff. As he looked around he saw his friend Aislin- having a drink on the bar, seemlingly not her first one. He smiles to himself, probably that's why she never made it to the opening of the NY venue, she was just held up in the Neverland bar across town and then found her way here.
As he checked on the staff, they seemed to be competent enough he sat down for a nice cold lemonade when he heard the door open up. A vaguely familiar face, he must have seen this man around the HQ over in NY sometime recently, maybe it's rathbone, one of the leaders in the new HQ in Bronx.. Let me go to greet him.
Hi there, Rathbone is it? Welcome to our place, glad to see leaders from NY swinging by, Goliath is currently away from business, but i'm sure i can get you that steak asap. Have a seat here, one of your fellow district members Hestia just came in as well. I'm sure you can have a good time telling stories of the Bronx together.
K_W scoots off to get those two new customers a nice drink as requested and signals the order of Rathbone to the kitchen with VIP delivery and plating. He checks Aislin-'s glass and smiles when he sees it's empty and asks her if she wants another one. |

Hestia heard K_W say Rathbone could sit with her, that she had just sat down herself, and she said, "You don't really have to sit with me Rathbone, if you were wanting a seat by yourself. I don't mind sitting here by myself. I find it rather weird to be stared at while I eat anyways so it's not a big deal if you sit elsewhere." When she received her drink, she gave her food order , saying, "I'd like to try the Grilled Chicken Breast, please. Can I get a side of mashed potatoes with that? And whatever the vegetable is for the evening.. Thank you!" |

Tommo walks in to the restaurant and looks around, the place looked a lot like the places in New York and he was getting home sick so ultimately needed some of the delicious smelling steak. The waiter walked him to a seat at the bar and Tommo looked at them menu. It was was an easy decision to make.
"I'll have the T-bone and a whiskey and water. That will do." |

When the server arrived with her meal, Hestia smiled and lifted her glass, asking, "Can I please get another Martini? Two olives.. And a refill on my water when you get a chance. Thanks!" She grabbed her fork and knife and cut off a piece of the chicken breast, lifting it to her mouth, chewing and swallowing, savoring the taste. She had never eaten anything quite like it before. The seasonings were perfect, the chicken was still juicy, not dry.. It was amazing. She took a spoonful of mashed potatoes, swallowed that, then went back to the chicken, saving her veggie for last. The waiter arrived with another Martini and a pitcher of water, and she said, "I'll probably have a couple more Martinis before I leave, just so you know ahead of time. And, compliments to the Chef for me. This is amazing!" She smiled as the waiter turned and walked away, then went back to her meal, enjoying every part of it, alternating sips of Martini and water in between bites. |

Myrddin was famished. He walked around Detroit for ages looking for somewhere that would serve him some decent food. He was about to give up when he stumbled upon what looked like a decent place for this town. Hello there, I'd like a ribeye please. Do you have beer? If so, I'd prefer a stout or porter, if you have that... |

About an hour later, Hestia was finished with her meal and her three or six Martinis. Luckily she had drank a bit of water in there somewhere. She was feeling a little tipsy so she knew it was probably time to stop drinking and leave before she couldn't drive herself to the hotel she was staying in that night. She had enjoyed every bit of the meal, and made sure the cook was notified by telling him herself after her second to last drink. The price ticket had been left with her at the table, so she put a fifty dollar bill along with it then got up from her chair. She slipped her arms into her jacket because she had a feeling it was chilly outside. Then she made her way to the front door, pushed it open and walked to her car. She opened the door, got in, started the engine and drove away to the hotel. |

Mr. Cat had been wandering around in Detroit for quite some time now, trying to find a place to get something to drink. It wasn't easy, because most places didn't even understand cat language. Hopefully there would be some place where he could just point out whatever he wanted to have. The next place he planned to investigate was called K&I Western Grill Garden. Maybe they have something to drink, Mr. Cat thought to himself and was grateful that his crew members had taught him how to read. It had made him much more independent. At the entrance was a tall man, and he looked strangely at Mr. Cat. He felt unease as he asked for the drinks menu, but it seemed the waiter didn't understand. Maybe he should try something else? He would do everything to get a nice, cold beer right now! Mr. Cat purred and rubbed his head against the man's leg. Instead of handing him the drinks menu, the man just lifted him up and began petting him. It wasn't exactly what Mr. Cat had asked for, but it was alright. He wished that Surtr was here right now - but he was probably not in Detroit anyways. The man whose name sign said Goliath walked inside and put him down on the floor. It felt nice and cold under his paws, and Goliath returned with a bowl of milk. Mr. Cat looked up at him, trying to make him understand. Instead, he encouraged him to drink his milk. He refused to drink it, and hopefully Goliath would give him the drinks menu so he could point out what he wanted exactly. |

As K_W sat in his office early in the morning, one of the kitchen boys came to great him. There had been no News of Goliath, he hadn't shown up for work in a few days. As K_W had been away on business as well he knew what had happened. However he also knew that Goliath had a twin brother named Jroc, he already asked him to come by at his earliest convenience and had hired a temporary headchef keep the business running.
When opening his office door he saw a mean looking street cat in his restaurant, without making too much fuss about the cat, he tried to shoo it away. But it kept sitting there with a very brooding look, it almost seemed like the cat was human, like a mr_cat or something.
As he reached down he saw that the cat had a address tag in his collar. Hmm The Distillery, Downtown Chicago. Aahh now I understand, you are Frank's cat, probably you don't even drink non-alcoholic stuff since your stomach isn't fit to deal with those anymore.
Here ya go kitty cat, have a bit of weak beer that nobody seems to be interested in buying, here ya go a nice little bowl for you |

Mr. Cat was surprised to see that someone, whom he had met in another life, had recognized his family and - most important of all - knew what he wanted! It sure was a weak beer, but it didn't matter. Like most other cats, he preferred it as dirty as possible, so he stuck his paw down the beverage and made sure to mix the whole thing together. Once it looked alright, he took a sip and thought to himself: This is some good stuff. Before long, all of the beer was gone, and he pulled out a small bag from the collar. Not only did it contain a couple of coins, it also contained catn-... wait, that was supposed to be a secret. He left what was hopefully enough and walked out from the restaurant happily, the tail wiggling back and forth whilst being in the air to greet whoever he met on his way out. He wanted to thank K_W for the be-.. A SMALL BIRD, CHASE IT!! |

As K_W was admiring the rather strange cat... hmm he never met one that he'd consider normal in here though, but at the same time looking very cute even when he is rather scruffy and drinking beer. He sighs, he does have a soft spot for little kittens, but also big ones!! As the cat finishes the beer and runs off leaving his tail fully upright he feels he might see this little fella gain (mr_cat will be his name in my mind then)
After this break he goes back to the bar and hears the wind gong again, a new customer arrived!! As he looked around he saw a well dressed man sit down at one of the booths and demand the menu from one of the nervous looking waitresses. Hmm he looks like a man who knows business, better go and check on this guest he thinks to himself.
O hello, it is you charlesmartel, happy to see you find your way to my small establishment. Unfortunately I can no longer entertain guests in my main location in NY, it got destroyed in the last war there. But luckily for you we ship our finest meats in from the west coast, so all our stock was kept here in Detroit for a while.
Let me get you that order, would you like a dry or rather full red wine to go with the nice meat cut you ordered? |

Frank finishes having a leak into the gutter in the sidewalk when he decides that he's quite thirsty and it's time for a drink. He sees the infamous K&I Western Grill Garden sign and knows that it's a place where the beer is in abundance and he's well taken care of. Frank zips his pants halfway up and pulls his toque down over his head. He staggers in and slumps down into a seat next to Mr_cat .
"There's my pussy!!"
Frank strokes the cat gently as he pulls up a menu and looks it over. He waves over K_W to order. K_W brings over Frank's big beer without even being asked.
"K_W - I'll have the Keilbasa. I think that it's the best thing to do to honour this fine city of ours!!"
Frank nods and goes to work on emptying his beer. |
