| Jail % | Started by: Aftershock on Feb 17, '10 17:44 |

So I know the % goes down to keep people from ranking like mad but really I see no point in making the % go down. They're going to rank anyway. Also I pay for my credits so why can't the % last longer for each stage? |

I think the system is fine as it is - it was implemented to stop people from ranking way too fast, along with bringing back the age limit, of sorts. There's a very fine balance in play that has served us well for quite some time. |

I don't know. I feel like it should be slightly increased or rewarded since people throw up credits all the time. It's not like a huge alter anyhow. It's slight at most and would increase ranking yes but I can get to 25% in like two hours. I find it poor that after two hours it's practically useless to keep going especially since I pay for the credits to be used towards something like jailbreaking. A slight increase isn't much to ask. |

You already do have a slight increase. 25%. |

Okay but considering 100% is the full effect why not make it last longer than the 75, 50 and 25? |

I suggested that it could be bumped up to 75 busts. |

I just would prefer more bang for my buck. |

I could put in code that stops you from throwing crackdowns when you are getting close to below 100%, but honestly, I think its best if its left up to you, the crack down thrower, to use your own judgement if you should buy a crackdown or not. We try to write this game to give you as many personal choices as possible. When you no longer think its worth it, stop throwing them and wait until you are a higher % again. If it was 100% 24/7, the jails would be a way for someone to rank *way* too quick. I don't think someone should be able to rank to capo points, on the same day they start their character, but if we had it at 100% 24/7, that would happen waaay to often. Everyone wants to rank quicker, but when will it stop? Wouldn't the game be destroyed if you could be Don in 3 days? Godfather on your 4th? I really think the diminishing return on a long JB run is a positive thing for the game, and I think it would take a *lot* of user support and a *lot* of logical arguements for me to consider removing it. |

It's not that I want it raised to 24/7 but more the fact just raise the limits. Like I said bumping each stage up an extra 25 busts or so wouldn't be that crazy. |

Then after people are accustomed to the new "give", they'll want it upped again. And again. It'll turn into a long, drawn out cycle. The system is already set up in a way where you can easily get a good rank in under a month - Back when a few years ago, it would take ages to rank because there wasn't a crackdown system, there was user generated jails - we're talking maybe just edging Made Man in a month, and Don taking a two or three month minimum. |

That's not necessarily true Swayzak. If Squishy straight up said "No that's completely pointless and would do absolutely nothing at all to up the value of a credit." Then I'd believe it. Yes people sell more in the marketplace because it forces people to jailbreak more if they are trying to rank that hard but.... |
