Okay guys a few days ago i came up with an idea and after thinking it through i thought i'd share it.

If one Saturday, i organised a day at the races (horse racing) for you to come and enjoy and and be able place bets on each race in the hope of making some extra cash, would it be something that would interest you in participating?

All throughout the day, there would be numerous races going on for you to place bets on. I'd create a thread in my back alley containing the odds for each horse, racing times and where the races are being held and post the link so you all have access. The races you'd be betting on would be actual real life races that take part in the UK so proof of winners is easy!

For all those that use IRC i would create a room for you to join where live announcements of race starts, finishes and winners would be announced. For those that don't use IRC all race winners will be announced in a post at the end of the day so you can all find out if you have won or not.

All bets would be one amount that is still yet to be decided and for those of you who aren't sure how the odds work or how much you would win then i would make someone avaliable for you to contact to find out.

The reason i'm asking if this would be something you'd be interested in is because obviously i don't want to put all the work in and then on the day no one takes part.

So what you all think? Any questions feel free to ask...

Betting on which horse is doped up the most? Hells yes - You do this and you will forever immortalize yourself in MR history.

I'd be very interested in throwing some money at this, but I'd be interested to know whether gamblers will enjoy the same odds they could at ladbrokes, betfred et cetera, or whether you would manipulate them to the advantage of bookmaker considering your monopoly?

The odds will be taken from a variety of different betting sites including, Bet365, paddypower, Ladbrokes and WilliamHill just as soon as they become avaliable.
