A long line of servers marches forth with entries in hand towards the private suite of Big Paulie's Bistro. Within the confides of the private suite, the underworld type are gathered, dressed in their best. The wiseguys mingle and enjoy each others company. The stereotypical, "aahhheys, and ooohhs." are heard through. A gentle knock is heard the door of the suite. Across the room, Sal is deep in conversation with several associates, but interrupts his meeting of the minds and jesters to Ronny Jeremy. Ron with one hand caresses the handle of his small revolver and with the other slowly twists the door handle. He glances into the hallway and when he sees the long train of servers. He shouts back; "Dinner is served." |

The streets buzzed neon in the slow descent of nightfall, the jazz joints, bars and restaurants stirring with a yawn from their daytime slumber. Along the lamplight strewn street the sound of shoe heels clicked clockwork as Cathy Parks made her way towards Big Paulie's to meet her associates. Her pace is slightly quicker than usual owing to the fact she was late, and she hated to be late. She frowns as she notices some dope fiends from across the street eyeballing her. Hearing cat-calls and whistles, she shakes her head but keeps moving. Normally any palooka stupid enough to cross her would be staring down the barrel of her gun, but she doesn't have time for recreation. She'd received the telegram earlier in the day to meet at Paulie's for 7, but there had been a situation out in Brooklyn that needed attending to, something that needed some finesse. And if Cathy knew anything, she knew about finesse. As she enters the Bistro and hears the warm welcomes of The House, she immediately feels the drag of the day's work dissipate, her face breaking into a smile as the Servers lay out the food. Taking a seat next to the Boss, she surveys the familiar interior of Big Paulie's. The place near empty except for familiar faces and the waiters - just how Cathy liked it. Lighting a cigarette and listening to the chatter, she leans over to Sal and whispers in his ear. "The situation in Brooklyn was taken care of. It wasn't Duck Soup but I kept things clean. We won't be having problems with the Bulls for a while." Smiling, she draws on her cigarette in a long pull and then addresses the others. "Are we just about all here then?" |

He smiles, continually he was pleased by Miss Parks talents and success. He pitied those who surely died by her hands... regardless "Almost everyone, we've got a few in Vegas and down in Florida... no worries." The servers drop entries after entries in front of the seated wiseguys. "Veal Chop alla Guido Reni...!" "Pasta con La Norma...!" "Pork Chop alla Calabrese...!" Each plate brings visual satisfaction to the various associates seated about. Sal leans towards Cathy "Miss Parks, I hope you enjoy 'Duck Soup'." |

Denny heard Cathy come in as he was deeply engrossed in what seemed to be legal papers. Nodding to himself he marked down several checks on the sheet of paper. As Cathy reported to the boss, he smiled and nodded once more "Yes... that will do just fine." Putting his papers, he smiled at Cathy and Boss Sal. "Yes, I am here, we can proceed, I just put the finishing touch on a very important legal matter, real estate and such.". Noticing that the paper he put down was face up, he quickly flipped it over before the rest could see the title "The Racing News" |

The mood in the room is light and brightens further when the food is brought in - Big Paulie's specials. The chatter hums as each mobster is seated around their table with Salvatore at the head. She feels his breath at her ear and nods with a smile. "It would make a change, certainly," she comments, before her attention flickers to a man dressed in expensive clothes, a man who Cathy deemed as a buon amico. "They sure didn't teach you humility at law school did they?" She leans over the table and pats Denny on the cheek in good humour. Their spirits seemed entirely bouyant tonight but the past few days had been another story altogether. Each one had been filled with darkness and anger over the loss of Boss Cthulhu, Cathy herself struggling internally with the shame of not having been at the scene. She often travelled with the Boss whenever he requested her, but on that night she had been in deep conversation regarding plans for New York with Salvatore. Words at her ear from the man who had stepped into Cthulhu's shoes pulled her from her grief. Now was not the time to falter, Cathy was needed here. She watched Sal for a moment, knowing that he had the biggest burden of all of them. But she had faith, he would certainly not disappoint any of them. Addressing the room, but aiming her question at Sal she asks: "And if all of us are here who can make it, would you do us the honour of making a toast before we eat?" |

"And if all of us are here who can make it, would you do us the honour of making a toast before we eat?" Those words echo though... The room turns silent and there no moving about, not even a mouse. All eyes about turn first to Cathy and then to Salvatore. He ponders and ponders and finally comes to his free with the glass in hand. "To Cthulhu, may his legacy live on. Salut" The united family replies... "Salut" |

Remembering the great Cthulhu who was their leader, their mentor and their inspiration, Denny stood up, raised his glass of Lagvuilin. The table quieted down as he began to speak. One word to you all. Real-Estate Denny sat down as quickly as he stood up, leaving the whole group still wondering what that was all about |

Octavius sat quietly, contented to listen to the banter and ideas of his peers. He revelled in the electric atmosphere that only an Italian dinner could create. If people had given him funny looks, as if to question his presence, he did not notice them. He listened carefully to every word, and he was a man who only spoke when it's necessary. He chewed his veal slowly, before he opened his mouth to speak. Denny my friend, I have one word for you. Thestockmarket! He spoke the last in a exaggerated sataccato, and the people around the table were no doubt surprised at such a soft voice coming from such a muscled man. Real estate bears the instant rewards, but with the stock market comes power, not only money. How about that, eh? |

Cathy listens intently as the men banter back forth about which area of business to go into. It was true, The House was finally ready to begin their enterprises in New York and their planning had been thorough. Of course, no plan comes without it's risks, but they were strong enough to surpass any forseen obstacles. "Boys, it's not either or, it's when and where." Cathy takes a mouthful of Chianti with a smile, enjoying the the swell of conversation and the taste of the strong red wine that invigorated her senses. They were all of them excited and infused with expectation. Things were very soon about to change for New York, very soon indeed. "The wheels are already in motion, stock market and real estate are about to become a reality for us. The days of small-scale moonshine rackets are over for good. And though there's a wealth of money in narcotics, we need diversification if we truly want to run this city." "I'm talking businesses, real-estate, stock-market, trafficking. Big money and big ideas. Speaking of which.." Cathy reaches into her purse and pulls out some documents. "Denny and I have been working on this over the past few weeks, the blueprints are done and as soon as Signore Giaquinto gives the word, construction begins." She unfolds the documents on the table where all could see the blueprints. |

While the various guests and underworld types marvel over the blueprints spread about, Salvatore strolls to a lonely corner of the room, an area concealed by a thick curtain. He whisles to gain the attention of the dinnerguests. Almost in unison their heads turn. "The blueprints are impressive indeed, but I have prepared more appropriate visual aids." Sal leans back and gently pulls a string, the curtains are pulled back, revealing a table and a model of various buildings. "Behold The Giaquinto Towers... they are nearing completation, thanks to Mr Crane's and Miss Park's resourcefulness." |

Joe "BloodyFaster" Rinaldi walks in the room carrying a case. He seems a little weary, though his suit is in perfect shape. He stops as he sees a crazy man firing against his family members just in fron of him. Rapidly he get's a knife and degolates the fellow, before he could turn to see what was happening behind him. "Well, maybe it was good I got late picking this up. Sorry boss, had some trouble collecting it" He says while leaving the case in front of Mr Giaquinto and quickly opening it a little showing the money bills that were completely filling it before he " I know it's not an excuse, but here I am now" He then dries a couple of sweat drops from his forehead and takes a sit, leaving the corpse for someone else to deal with and staring at his colleagues shocked face |
