She watched lurking around the shadows, what she had observed in the many moons since her arrival in this white mans world. Was anger, envy, sorrow, arrogance, self-pity, , resentment, inferiority, false pride, superiority, and ego. Many , far too many were feeding the wrong wolf, the wolf of evil. These masses was excitable and some were conforming and others were being Golden, true to self. The Wolf her name given by the Great Spirit to the Shaman of the tribe decades before her birth, in a vision of light and love. The Great Spirit heralded her arrival into this world and the awakening that would begin with her arrival. She would be both strength undefined and weakness beyond repair, a student who knows something and a teacher who knows nothing. Her heart would be unconditional love ,something lost to the world for many an eon. Her spirit would be unconditional acceptance of self, evolved to unconditional acceptance of all. Her mind heightened to the tenth degree to see the things that reside past ego. The Great Spirit echoed in the Shamans ear she will be everything and nothing, she is The Wolf, sister of the Moon daughter of the people, guided the by the winds of all directions that blow under the sun.
Brigid was a warrior of the tribe, had lived with them her whole life. Raised by Grandfather Raven and Grandmother Fox. Her mother had been banned, but was allowed back briefly in her youth when she was pregnant with her. Since the child was of the tribe , they let her mother stay long enough to give birth to her. Making her leave the next day, the two never able to bond . She loved her mother as any tribe member would love another, she did not love her as a child would a mother, that love was reserved for the one who had raised her. She had no negative feelings towards her father if it had not been for his deed she would not be here, no she was not angry with him she only felt grateful for the opportunity to have this life. Which Wolf will you feed ? Choose wisely Feed the right wolf were grandfathers words constantly swimming through her head.
She had removed her coat revealing her the artwork that ran along her arms and down her shoulders, all tribal markings earned before carved into her cinnamon colored flesh. She wore traditional clothing a way of honoring her people and self. Her tunic was mid thigh length for free movement with simple geometric shapes along the hemline. A knife sat in a beaded scabbard of hide on her left hip , and a tomahawk hung on the right both attached with a throng of unadorned hide she used as a belt. She wore no shoes she love the feel of the earth under her feet , it kept her grounded , connected to the Great Spirit.
She slung her leather fringed coat over her left shoulder letting it hang as she crossed the road avoiding the honking cars in front of her. She found a board with flyers and cards pinned to it haphazardly blowing in the wind. This was what she had been looking for, a place for her to put her opinion to be heard and ignored by many. She stood there silently asking the sun of the south to join her adding strength , the winds of the east to connect with her adding creation. She continued to ask the earth of the north for grounding and stability and the refreshing cleansing waters of the west to add there energies.
She pulled a standard piece of stationary from her pouch, meticulously unfolded it and posted it to the cork backed billboard.
With the compulsion of the Great spirit gone from her spirit she faded back into the shadows of the city an unknown face among many. |

Wandering through the streets and noticing the billboard, Keats stopped to read. He looked around for whoever had posted their wisdom there, but couldn't see any sign of them. Scribbling for a moment, he added his own post in what seemed to be the spirit of the original message.
