Fitz had been seeing a recurring issue lately, when walking past any establishment in the East and West coast cities there were always the same signs up - Workers Needed. It had occurred to me that the owners of these establishments were well off, it seemed nobody was tapping these guys up for protection. The thought had crossed my mind to change this but quickly remembered I had no authority to do such a thing and so I decided to speak to Don Pine about it on my next visit to Chicago. The more I walked around the more I recognised this wasn't just a problem for the bakers or the butchers, this was a problem for all establishments, most of all the Mob. We weren't making the most of what was around us. With Detroit and Chicago currently busy and flourishing the rest of the country was becoming unorganised and abandoned by us. Shop keepers were looking above their station with the smartest suits money could buy, Bakers were getting fat with all the cheese they were raking in, it was a place that needed a Mob touch. I thought about what we could do to remedy this but with each thought came the same answer... Workers Needed.
Fitz does something to draw everyone's attention to him, or at least the 5 people who tend to frequent the streets these days. My good people it has appeared to me for some time now that we lack a real presence within this world. We have stamped our mark in Detroit and Chicago but now the rest of the country is there for the taking. We could take this opportunity to spread out among the world but with Detroit and Chicago currently flourishing it would be a shame to change things now. What then should we do I hear none of you cry? Well isn't it obvious? We need more thugs, more Goombas, we need more Earners, simply put we need more workers. If we are ever to reach the full potential of the mob and take on the country as we are meant to, we need to spread the word, we need to let people know there's a buck to be earned in this life of crime. Right now there are more civilians than there are mobsters out in these east and west coast cities and it brings a tear to my eye, the potential that we could be tapping into and we just refuse to bother with recruiting extra guys to our cause. Have a friend that wants to earn a little extra cash? Refer him to your Capo. Know a guy who's in need of letting off a bit of steam? Refer him to your sponsors, we can make use of those sorts of guys.
It's time we began taking it upon ourselves to reach our potential and extend our reach without spreading ourselves thin elsewhere in the process, we need more workers and I refuse to believe that none of you know anyone who'd want to have a taste of this life, fast cars, faster women and all the cash they can dream of. It's time to get our heads out of the sand and make an effort.

Fitz is a good boss and really looks after his guys. Every day I sell my famous Singapore Noodles, which are low in fat, beautiful flavours, made with the freshest local ingredients and always make sure to give Fitz a taste - figuratively and literally - and look where that has got me! I'm proud to say I'm enjoying my 26th day of Goombaship, all thanks to the expert guidance of Fitz. |

See what I mean? JamieOliver is our resident chef and I'm pleased to say that so far only 3 people have died from his cooking, which is an improvement on our last cook. While he cooks for all the family in the day time, during the night time he ditches the spatula for a different kind of utensil and works the streets of South Side in order to provide his family, particularly Jools, with a better life. |

Sasha was intrigued with what @Fritz had to say but not as intrigued as she was with JamieOliver Jamie she had heard was doing a great job at keeping Chicago feed and healthy with his ability to nook up a healthy dish. She had heard rumours out of Chicago that his special mayonnaise was to die for with its salty flavour and being HI in protein she was desperate to see if Jamie would divulge the secret of how he made this special mayonnaise that had made Chicago mobsters more fitter and healthy then most other mobsters in the land. |
