The bus halts abruptly. "Alright you fucking low lifes, free world out there now. Things have changed since you all go pinched all those years ago. Some of you may not even realize is not the nineteenth century anymore, Welcome to the twenty century boys, where the American Dream is nothing but a joke for white collars to tell they're employees..." Bryan solemnly sat there listening to the buffoon babble on about what he, as a free man, could and couldn't do. This man spoke for what seemed to a lifetime but all Bryan could concentrate on was the deal he'd made in the clink. Y'see Bryan was a small time working his own thing, without permission I might add; and the right people heard the wrong things and he got the better end of the shit stick... Yea, that's how you know these people mean business, when jail is the better option. Now, after serving his time in what he now referred to as CrimeU; Bryan, who went it with a bachelors in petty crime, had just gotten his doctorate in mob etiquette and technique. Thanks to the friends he had made on the inside he was ready to start working again, this time the right way.. Never shying away from a challenge he knew what he wanted, and he wanted to work for the biggest baddest crew on the east coast... The Corporation. The only problem... He had just arrived, off the bus, in the big apple. "Can we go now!" Bryan interrupted the man before he could continue boring them to death any longer. "I have to go and see my parole officer to find a job, we're all kind of on a time limit here and I think you've got enough of it as it is-Sir." The tone in Bryan's voice became more and more anxious as he spoke. *Lying within seconds of getting out...What are you doing to yourself Bryan, that's some risky stuff these days, especially to this assholes that we call the law.* Bryan thought to himself as the stern look on the man's face widened into a grin. Yea know what, since you're in such a god damn rush you can volunteer to help clean the bus after everyone gets their shit! Don't worry though, I'll put in a good with your parole officer for yea. The man was onto is ruse. As night fell Bryan finally got to walk through what seemed to be the pearly gates of the Greyhound bus terminal. Right next to Penn Station, he thought to himself, "Do I hope on another bus over to Brooklyn? Nah the Bronx... That wasn't it. If Bryan wanted to live lavishly like the wiseguy he knew he could be, Bryan would have to go to Manhattan. Maybe they're he could find a sponsor... If only he could meet someone on vacation from Detroit, someone from The Corporation. Someone Like Tianna BlackHeart... If only. |
