if i have to join a family in the city i'm in but there's no family here, what do i do?

you can just join a family in another city, which will move you there

You do not have to join a family in the city you are in.  You can choose any family that you like, as long as they have room.  You need to take a look at the crew list, under the news tab.  Then mail that leader requesting an invitation, and sharing a bit about yourself.

Also go to news & info then to crews.

Use that to view any recruiting crews.

If they are any type of crew with any knowledge you will have to send an application unless you are joining a previous crew or are known.

And remember to put some effort into your request to join their family or they will tell you no...
