We have added some automated poker bots to play against during slow times on the poker server.  They will provide entertainment while waiting for another player.

The bots can not see your cards or the other bots cards, they are a 3rd party program not related to MR or Poker Mavens (The software that runs the poker server) that we licensed through http://www.ipokerbot.com/

The bots have simple rules they follow, for example "If AA, go all in.  If 3-5 offsuit, check unless someone raises then fold.." and so on.  They get random cards just like you do, and sometimes, those cards will be better than yours.

Over the next few weeks I will continue to work on their strategy/logic to make them more fun to play against.  The bots play with MR money like yourself, however, to avoid inflating the game, their balance is tied to the rake of the game.  Meaning, there will be times where they are bankrupt and there will be no bots playing until they get money again.  During the testing stage, we will be losing hundreds of millions to players, but hope down the road we can train them to hold their own.

Anyway they are easily identifiable because they are all named after US Presidents / VPs.  They also always at the table minimum buy in and auto rebuy after every hand.  You can mouse over them and see they announce themselves as a bot.  There will also be a custom bot avatar for them (artist will get to this soon).

As of now they are only on limited tables (Currently on Luck be A Lady and Couch Cushion Change) but will expand to other tables once their playing stile is honed.
