So, once again, we see the perils inherent in leadership positions being given to those who simply have not, indeed couldn't, cut the mustard.

Lily's RHM goes about the duties required and sees...  Something.  Something so bad that he shoots himself.  And many follow his lead.

What is going on in this thing?  The RHM ends his life instead of actually attempting to change things?

And those that follow suit?  Really?

If anyone in this business chooses to end their own life, that is their business and no one elses. This life we lead is hard, even more so on those that choose to take up leadership positions. If they decided they can no longer commit the time needed to lead properly, I for one very much so prefer they retire then fail their crew do to not being able to do their job properly. That's not to say this is what happened here, just offering 1 possible scenario.

As you can see he didn't retire and spark others to do so like you claim, and like Ewiv has stated that their business and no one elses.

If you ask me people shouting garbage in the streets like you are Gaspipe is intolerable. Trying to smear a Chairman who if she wasn't more than capable of being in the position she is wouldn't be there at all, and a great member of this community aswell. I'd stick to your civilian day job bud.

If the RHM of a family has things which are bothering them, then it's their personal choice on how to react to it. We must accept that they made the best choice that they felt was suitable at the time. Regardless of that, it is not for someone new to these streets to judge their actions. This isn't a drama show.

Big heard the grumblings of a poor sap in the streets. He heard his God Mother Chairman's name called out. Surely he had to catch what was being said. 

After Gaspipe's speech.. Big stood there shaking his head from the back of the crowd. Not too often do people find a nearby soap box from the back of a crowd.. but Big did just that. He found a soap box a few feet from him and stood up on it...

"Good day everyone! I couldn't help but overhear this nonsense spewing from the mouth of new blood on our streets. Quite frankly it sounds a lot like jibberish. Maybe someone a bit confused as to what they were saying.. considering your facts aren't even straight. I'm afraid I won't even entertain your bullshit here."

"I will say this however, people make decisions in this thing of ours. Good, bad, or indifferent.. it's the way of our world. Losses are typically a tragedy.. this however was a decision to take their own life for their own reason. Unfortunate as it is.. it also is what it is. Maybe people should take the time to speak to their leaders about things before jumping to such tragic conclusions. But that's just me."

Big stepped down from the soap box and contemplated walking through the crowd to approach Gaspipe personally.. he thought better of it and walked away, knowing that this person would soon find their own demise.

That being said the RHM to a Godfather retiring is not all that common; combined with a lack of comment from said Godfather naturally raises a few more eyebrows. Trouble in paradise? Probably not, but such vehement responses makes you wonder...
