House, Your Neo_ Costume Needs Work Started by: The-Gambler on Jun 13, '16 19:42

A young woman stands under the lights of Brooklyn, she finishes redressing her bandage and begins to speak firmly

"Your Kairi costume was shit. Your Rayln costume was god-awful and Neo_'s clothes fit you like they fit me... not that I'd know... I don't know.. ahem."

she realigns herself and clears her throat

"Last night at approximately 9:15 my freshly-released-from-prison love interest and I were in my HQ suite.. celebrating. He usually finishes quickly but today he wouldn't get to finish at all. A man wearing Neo's clothes booted down our door and opened fire at both of us. His aim was low however and sadly.. Renard took most of the fire due to his bottom-bitch positioning."

She rubs her eyes and draws a piece of paper from her coat.

"Now House would have you believe Neo killed Renard that night but I have known Neo since he built The Nebuchadnezar. I have served as his hand and trust his ethics would never allow him to kill my lover viciously in cold blood.. not like that. I see through House's lies but this time I'm not here to convince you. Tonight my ultimatum is directed at you, House.."

she breathes in deeply and focuses on the gathering crowd, with her eyes infected with spite she yells

"Me and my shotgun will be waiting for you in the master suite of the House-Proof Redoubt in Summerlin. You know where I am now House so no more guerilla warfare bullshit. Come find me, I will be waiting."

The woman quickly leaves, dropping the piece of paper behind her.

Tried to challenge House to a duel, he just told me to kill myself the lazy prick.

Your obsession with house is almost worth seeking out professional help, but alas the blood is flowing from your corpse and you're not evening hearing me ramble!

House was always a house.

Since The-Gambler waited until i had my back turned and tried to drag me through the mud, I will go ahead and explain why she decided to take matters in her own hands

As for The-Gambler, I hope your Kin is listening very closely to this

Subject: Mr Renard

FYI.

I've invited Renard to join simply so he wouldn't get shot the moment he got out of prison. He has a history of starting problems and trolling so I wouldn't recommend keeping him. If you want to, of course you can but if you don't want him here I can find him a new home.

First and Foremost, The-Gambler, He has a history of starting problems and trolling. That should have been your first cue to not bring him into my family. I didn't want him in my family in the first place and that, my dear, would be the reason why i dropped him from the family.

Second, at what point is it your responsibility to be trying to find a home for anyone? You are not bold and you are not slanted. so you finding him a home means jack shit, considering i have a strict policy of Blood In and Blood Out. So his blood is on your hands. So take this blame game thing you have going on with me and shove it cause you knew full well that the only way out of my family is a Pine Box, unless I myself, have made arrangements with another Leader, NOT YOU.

And third, why was his death a reason for you to rogue again? seriously? Trust me when i say this, had I known you were going to take this route, I would have shot you at the same time that I dropped him from the family.

And lastly, Who the fuck is House? Is this some obsession you have?

Surely if The-Gambler was a sponsor, he had some responsibility to find a home for mobsters. That's kind of one of his jobs, is it not?

Perhaps your policy wasn't very well presented to one of your sponsors, which might raise questions around the processes you have in place for appointing sponsors and explaining their responsibilities and your wishes when recruiting mobsters, no?

Naturally these are moot points if The-Gambler didn't have sponsorship capabilities.

I think hindsight is a beautiful thing where Rogues are concerned, no doubt had my fathers known they were going to get shot they might have acted in such a way so as to avoid the death.

Just a few musings, since this is a place of public.

If miss Gambler didn't have sponsorship capabilities, my dear HenrySestern, how could Renard join them?

She even sent a message ahead of time and let Neo_ know a little about the man, which is what a smart sponsor would do. One I most definitely would like to have.

Although, she admitted the man had been to jail, long hard jail. His brain was fried a little whilst cooped up and was a 'troll'.

Hindsight is a funny thing, don't you think mister Sestern?

Okay so if she was given the nod to take young Mafioso under her wing then her job was simple and that's recruit for your family, if she didn't have the ability well then you go to your CL, one of his/her hands, or a member who has been given the nod to do so and ask they extend an invite out to said Mafioso, correct? And she obviously did as don Neo_ stated he dropped sir Renard from his family. That should have been the end of it, ya maybe she and him were friends and she could offer him a few other homes in the district or city that might be worth applying to, but instead she rogued and attempted to establish her own crew without any ones authorization in a unestablished city.

So HenrySestern she did her responsibility and recruited for her family, and again I bold and underline that statement as that's as far as a sponsors responsibilities go for finding someone a home, it ends there and doesn't extend to trying to find them a new family unless like I stated earlier they were friends and she was trying to offer him suggestions.

Atleast that is how I see it anyway, none the less what was done is now in the past, the only thing now is for those involved to take this as a lesson learned the hard way and hopefully their sons and daughters can learn not to repeat it or to get a nod of approval before inviting someone who one might see as 'trouble' to the famjam.

My policy for my sponsors is crystal clear and all my Sponsors (the ones that still draw breath anyway) are made aware of any changes that I make. Part of being a sponsor is using common sense. If you know the guy or gal in question is going to be problematic for the family then the smart thing to do would be to Not invite said person into the family. I hold my sponsors accountable for what their associates know or do not know. Your responsibility as a Sponsor does not end when you recruit them. You are supposed to teach and mold your associate into a respectable mobster, who will eventually be inducted into said persons respective families inner circle.

Surely if The-Gambler was a sponsor, he had some responsibility to find a home for mobsters. That's kind of one of his jobs, is it not?

Honestly, I think Tywin pretty much nailed it. The responsibility of the sponsor is to recruit for their family. It is not up to said Sponsor to find another home for their associates, if said associate is unhappy. It is the Associates responsibility to contact their respective CL's. The CL then has one of two choices:

A) A smart CL will try to talk to the associate and see what he/she can do to make the associate happier and try to accommodate them within         reason.

B) The CL will grant the associates request and talk to the CL for the family that the associate wishes to go to and/or put said associate into a         pine box.

No where in here does it specify nor indicate that the Sponsor has the authority to find another family for their associates. That is at the discretion of the Crew Leader. Most times if the associate is respectful in his approach, You will find most Leaders to be willing to let you transfer.

Since this in the streets thought I'd drop my two cents, it's nice to know that once your father, mother or grandparents or even great grandparents stuff up or even look at someone the wrong way. That son or daughter will forever be painted with that brush. I would have thought the sins of the father/mother ended with them with a bullet.. Obviously we still have the children pay for the mistakes of their parents.. So my question to you is how many generations does the sins of the grandparents and parents need to go through?

Walks away whistling a tune as he lights up a cigar.

I would have to strongly disagree with what you've said here; The way in which you've explained it leads me to believe that you think giving your members the option to sponsor new recruits is just a task in filling your HQ with anybody that they can get their hands on, they get them, fill up your walls and thats them done? is this what you think the role consists of?

I can tell you right now, thats not the role of someone that you've blessed with this capability. If one of your nominated  sponsors finds a recruit, its my strong belief that this said sponsor is in charge of helping shape this new person to our way of life until they make their bones in a crew. These people are, for the lack of a better phrase,  new off the boat, they have no right to be going to a don of a city and dealing with them directly. There is a hierarchy to uphold and the new recruit should be going through their respective sponsor with any problems, issues and questions, thats why this role exists. solely for that purpose. i dont even know what happened and to be honest, i have no interest in the inner workings of it but im happy to point out that you have a much different idea to me of what a sponsor should be doing.

It is the Associates responsibility to contact their respective CL's.

Its not the associates responsibility at all, i have to disagree once more. Thats why we have a chain of command. Dont forget, these are new to the ways of this world, they have a point of contact and that would be their respective sponsor. Hierarchy and chain of command should always exist.

I hold my sponsors accountable for what their associates know or do not know. Your responsibility as a Sponsor does not end when you recruit them. You are supposed to teach and mold your associate into a respectable mobster, who will eventually be inducted into said persons respective families inner circle.

Just to point out that this statement is a contradiction to everything you have spoken about.

Now, More specific to your problem, you are right to a certain extent the final word of this person moving to a new family would lie with the respective crew leaders, sure it does but its a very ignorant stance you have taken towards what you want and expect from your sponsors.
