It was a dark and gloomy night, thunderstorms were soon to be rolling in, you could see the flashes of lightning in the far distance, and hear the shallow rumble of thunder that accompanied the lightning. DoctorBoom had called me earlier in the day, to come to his home tonight, as he wanted to go over some new business plans for Chicago. The storm was getting closer as I exited my car. As I was walking to the front door, small rain drops were starting to come down and the cool Chicago air was getting just a little too warm for my liking, so I huddle up my jacket around me, as to stay dry and ran the remainder of the way to the front door. I knocked once before letting myself in, calling out for DoctorBoom as I entered. "Boom, where are you, you wished to see me, old friend?" At first, I heard nothing, but as I was about to call out again, I could just about hear DoctorBoom calling to me from the back study. As I walked to the door, I saw him sitting in his chair, a glass of liquor in hand, watching a fire crackle in the fireplace in front of him.
Lightning flashed outside the windows, drawing a loud laugh from Boom, before he cleared his throat, and a stern look appeared across his brow. He took a sip of his drink, before turning his gaze back to the fire, his look going from stern, to almost of a sad one. I assumed that DoctorBoom wanted to talk about how things were prospering in South Side, Chicago. I had all the facts in the front of my mind, ready to offload them to Boom, when he dropped the bombshell of a lifetime. DoctorBoom thought it was time I should venture off out on my own, to take over a city of my own, to take over Detroit. The recent wars had not just taken it’s toll on the people involved, but also the cities themselves. These cities were in desperate need of being populated again and brought back to life. DoctorBoom had entrusted this task of Detroit, to me and my family. "It's been a pleasure serving with you here in Chicago, I will miss this city, and the wonderful people she has within her walls. But yes, I will gladly accept this once in a lifetime offer from you, for my family. I will miss you, but I know I will make you proud old friend, I know this well." I raise my glass closer to him and said, "Here’s a toast to the future of our two damn fine good cities, may they both treat us well in the coming days, and for the rest of our lives. May we ever be prosper in our adventures." He extended his glass towards mine and we clinked them together, a smile on both our faces as we each took a sip from our glasses. We relaxed back into our chairs, lightning flashing outside the window as the rain was pelting down upon it. A storm maybe raging outside, but inside this house, were two very happy friends, looking towards a bright future both both their cities, their districts and their families. |

TOL was in Detroit having a few pints of beer at a local bar she hear a very large noise outside, She decided to investigate it see what was going on... As she stepped out the bar there was a big crowd just cheering on as a man was standing on a soapbox giving out his speech. TOL followed the crowd she began to clap a bit for the honorable man. Congrats Pine and all the your family for your new city I am sure you will do well to rebuild it. TOL steps back into the bar and more booze and drunken darts. |

My dear friend pine, when we first started out our lines had never really crossed paths and truth be told our first meeting wasn't pleasurable, we,. lets say bumped heads. At that specific time, things were heated and we had a difference of opinion. In all honesty, i thought you was a snotty nosed kid he thought he new everything. Since those days though our friendship has progressed, we have worked closer and closer over the weeks and i have to say; you're a fucking marvel of this world, there are few that come close to the utter beast that you are. Seriously, even this old dog has learnt knew tricks. Its been all my pleasure to work and grow along side you and we have achieved some fantastic things already and long may it continue. Even though you have left for your own city, that does not mean that this relationship continues. Im so happy to see you at the top, the genuine top. many, many congratulations my friend. |

Dexter enters, making his way to Pine after the meeting is over. After shaking hands with the man Dexter smiles and says, "I am torn. Chicago is losing an amazing presence with you, my friend. You have worked tirelessly, putting the entire city before yourself and I am eternally grateful for all of the help you have shown both myself and the late Maria. On the other hand, I am extremely proud of you and look forward to the energy and devotion you will bring to Detroit. I am excited for what the future will bring with you at the helm." |
