"I'm just so super excited for him," Felicity gushed as she brushed her blonde hair back off of her shoulders, studying her reflection in the mirror hanging on the dark painted walls.

"Mmhmm, that's nice," came the drone of a female voice from across the room.

"Honestly," the young girl continued, puckering her lips towards her reflection before her face broke into a large, beaming grin. "This is such a huge step up. He's all important and official now!"

"That's great," came the irritated reply.

Turning around, Felicity's eyebrows became knitted in a momentary worry. She crossed the room, her olive green dress brushing her knees as she sat down in the chair across from her mentor, Evangeline, the wide, mahogany desk between them.

"Eva," Felicity asked with a hint of a frown. "Do you think he likes me?"

Evangeline stopped writing, well, whatever it was she was writing, to look up at Felicity. Her expression was nothing less than incredulous.

"You realize," the older woman said, fighting to keep her voice even, "That I have to have these reports done, and you are doing NOTHING but sitting here, distracting me with your pointless gossip?"

With a twist of her lips into a pucker, Felicity mulled this over for a moment. Evangeline only used that tone when she meant business, or she was being super totally serious about something. Oh my gosh! That meant she was totally super serious about this! She was exasperated because Felicity had asked a stupid question. OF COURSE he liked her! The look in Evangeline's eyes CLEARLY read 'why are you not over there with him right now?'. It was so obvious the two women were on the same page. Her eyes crinkling in happiness, she gave another goofy grin and stood up from the desk.

"You're right Evangeline. I'll stop stressing out over it. If you think he likes me, then that means he most definitely does. You're so super insightful like that! Thanks Eva! I'll bring you back some dinner tonight, alrighty?"

Grabbing her purse from the desk (earlier discarded for the mirror), Fel whisked her way out of the office, making sure to close the door shut tightly behind her. Eva was fussy when it came to things like people bursting into her office and distracting her. Not when it came to Felicity, though. Eva ALWAYS made time for Felicity.

With renewed confidence, Felicity decided she was going to go visit the mystery man of her affections. Striding across the corridor of the Lion's Den headquarters, and out the front door, the young girl began to skip down the sidewalk towards the Manhattan Project's headquarters.

"Missus Richard Ennebocks," she sang as she headed towards the large, looming building less than a block away. "Missus Dick Ennebocks. Felicity Ennebocks..."

"Felicity Ennebocks?" a deep voice said from behind her, causing her to shriek and jump into an about face, swinging her purse at the offending voice.

Her purse made contact with a man's arm, causing him to wince in momentary pain before shaking his head and sizing her up. She didn't quite like the look in his eyes... this man, dressed in a crisp, black suit with a dark, black Stetson. And that creepy briefcase he was holding aloft, like it was on fire or something. What was this, the Ol' Wild West? Honestly. Time for a wardrobe update!

"Um..." the green-eyed girl stammered momentarily, before squaring her shoulders aggressively toward the man. Who was he anyway, saying her future name like that?

"Do you know Richard Ennebocks?" the deep voiced man pressed further, his eyes darting from side to side.

"...Possibly. Maybe. Perhaps I am his future wife," Felicity said defiantly, narrowing her eyes.

"Ah," said the Cowboy, looking Felicity up and down for a moment. "Say," he continued, a scary looking grin crossing his face. "You think that the future wife of Richard Ennebocks could do me a favor?"

"...Who are you?" she at least had the common sense to ask.

"Oh, just an old friend of the Dick's. I need to get something to him. Very important. Any way I can enlist his lovely fiancee's help?"

To say that her heart didn't leap in excitement was an understatement. Her eyes widened in wonder as she took a step forward toward this stranger. Do a favor for someone who knew Richard?! An old friend at that?! Why, if she did this... Richard would have no CHOICE but to adore her, and how thoughtful she was! And then it would only be months, nay, weeks- maybe even days!- before the two of them would be together.

"Yes of course I love helping people! Helping is the greatest thing in the entire world! Especially for my soon to be h-husband!"

She felt kind of bad about lying, but details were moot at this point, really. She had already agreed to help, anyway.

The man reached into his briefcase, pulling out a decent sized, poorly wrapped white package. He handed it over to Felicity delicately, letting go of it only when he was sure she had a good grip on it (that's what she said).

"Just make sure he gets this, please," the man said, tipping his hat politely before turning away.

"Wait!" Felicity called out after him in confusion. He hesitated, turning around with a wavering smile, staring at her with a hint of... was that fear?

"Don't you want to give this to him yourself?" she continued with a smile. After all, she had imagined some sort of elaborate plan that involved a happy reunion between friends, one that inevitably lead to a real proposal for marriage for her help in the entire plot.

Stranger Guy seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as he shook his head. "Business meeting. Have to get going," he said, before waving and turning away again. She couldn't help but notice that he had doubled his pace from earlier, and with a shrug, Felicity ran to the headquarters and up the steps, knocking on the front door politely.

Hoopi answered. Felicity stared at him warily. Hoopi had always kind of creeped her out, ever since that day she found him hiding in Evangeline's office bathroom. She strongly suspected he had some sort of a thing for her mentor, but never mentioned it. Though it was hard, at times, when she caught Eva in her office, clutching the phone and wailing "HE STILL HASN'T CALLED". She hated to see Evangeline like that.

"Hello Hoopi," she mumbled, feeling like a five year old under some siege of a parental lecture. "Is Richard here?"

Hoopi merely shrugged, leaving the door open for her as he walked away. Stepping inside, she closed the door with one hand, juggling the package for Dick in the other. Quietly, as not to disrupt the super important work that everyone must have been doing that afternoon, Felicity shuffled up the steps, then down the carpeted hallway. Stopping shortly in front of the office labeled "Ennebocks," she took a deep breath and plastered a smile on her face.

Pushing the door in, she cheerfully and brightly called:

"RICHARD! Hiiiii! How are you today?! I wanted to come see you and oh my goodness look what I have! It's a present from an old cowboy friend of yours! He told me to give it to you!"

Richard had been his office all day, pretending he knew one of those exotic martial arts. He was really just swinging his arms wildly in the air, kicking occasionally, and making very loud and obnoxious noises. Finally, a knock came at the door and a loud voice came from the other side. "Keep it down in there!"

"Keep it down in there," Richard mimicked. "HEY! Did you hear me?!" Came the voice from the hallway. Richard stuck his tongue out at the door and replied. "Yeah, I heard you Hoopi."

"I'm Hoopi and I'm super cool," Richard said to mockingly to himself. Walking over to his desk, Richard picked up one of the lighters he had sitting around and began playing with it. Sitting in his chair, Richard attempted to see how close and how long he could hold his finger to the flame before it started to hurt. Suddenly, the door to his office flung open. In walked Felicity, carrying some type of package. "RICHARD! Hiiiii! How are you today?! I wanted to come see you and oh my goodness look what I have! It's a present from an old cowboy friend of yours! He told me to give it to you!" said Felicity very cheerfully.

Richard was typically a bumbling fool around Felicity, although he was often clueless as to why he was like that around her. "Hi there Felicity," Richard replied, before a sudden sharp pain from his hand drew his attention. He had left the lighter on, and was now holding it right next to his other hand. "YYYYOUCH!" Richard yelled, as he dropped the lighter, grabbing the burned spot on his hand and jumping around in circles. After a few seconds, he recomposed himself and turned toward Felicity, despite his hand still hurting. "I'm good, how about you? And a cowboy friend?" Richard wrinkled his nose, both from the pain and wondering if he knew anyone that was a cowboy. "I don't think I know any cowboys."

Giving a quick look-over from a distance, Richard spotted something familiar about the item. "COOL! Its got a fuse in it!"

"I dunno. He looked like a cowboy and talked like a cowboy, so I'm calling him a tiger. I mean, cowboy."

Felicity grinned and rushed forward with the package. She liked Richard's enthusiasm, and knew that this was just the beginning to a wonderful adventure for the both of them. Placing the package on the desk she examined it for a moment, wondering what all the fuss was about, before looking up at the man.

"How do you know that's a fuse? What's it do, do you think?" she asked, curiously, placing her purse down on the desk beside the package.

She watched him with bright eyes for a few moments before smiling and sitting down at one of the empty chairs at his desk.

"You know, Richard, I was thinking... we could do something fun today? If you're not busy, that is. I'm not busy. And maybe we could go get some ice cream, like we wanted to a few weeks ago but never got to..?"

Her eyes darted back to the package as she heard it make a strange noise.

"Oooooh, is it an animal?! A pet?!"

SpaceMountain, sitting very luxuriously in his office, heard some commotion down the hall. "Fucking kids", he said to himself. Surely Hoopi didn't allow the girl scouts back into the HQ again. He's always had a thing for "younger women".

He sprung up from his chair and walked out the office door peering down the hall. It was coming from Dick's office. Apparently, the poor fool burned himself again playing with a lighter. He walked down the hall to examine the situation only to hear "Oooooh, is it an animal?! A pet?!" Surely she wasn't back again. The last time Felicity was allowed in The Manhattan Project's HQ, she had painted the women's restroom pink. A few of the ladies and Hoopi were upset with this, stating that the pink was damaging their eyes.

SpaceMountain barged into the office to investigate this love affair. The two were totally stunned and both stared at the ground like they were incredibly shy or something.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE?!?!?! This isn't tea time. We've got business to tend to here."

SpaceMountain exits Dick's office and punches Robert_Guiscard in the face as he heads down the hall back to his office.

The pain from the burn on his hand was beginning to lessen, as he watched Felicity set the package on his desk.

"I don't know anyone who dresses like a cowboy either. Who would want to dress as a cowboy?" Richard asked quizzically. Turning his attention back to the package, Richard sat in his desk and pulled it closer to him to examine. "How do you know that's a fuse? What's it do, do you think?" asked Felicity.

"O, I've got a bunch of fuses of all sizes," Richard replied, eying and examining every part of the package. Someone once told Richard he had an unhealthy obsession with explosives and fire, but he refused to believe that. He thought it was a very healthy relationship, as he paid attention to both all the time. "It certainly looks like a bomb, although I don't remember ordering one recently."

Suddenly, Space came bursting through the door. After he had finished yelling, Richard turned to Felicity. "Perhaps we could go somewhere, do something fun. And see if I can get a better look as this thing, or find the nice fellow that gave it to me."
