Tribute & Earnings Started by: AfroSamurai on Mar 11, '10 10:05

Right, not a lot of explaining to do on this one. Basically I think it would be handy on the crew page to divide the 'Earn.' section into two parts, Earnings & Tribute.

This would make it a lot easier for the Crewleader to simply have a look to see who tributes a lot, and who is a great earner.

I know if this was something that was going to be added in it won't exactly be top of your list on things to do, but the advantages seem clear enough to me. The only con as far as I can think at the moment is perhaps the coding required.

I look forward to people's comments.

Afro.

Well this one seems to be a fair enough suggestion to me !!

Report Post Tip

Yes, this is a great suggestion. It should would make it a lot easier for the leaders. Smart thinking there!

Report Post Tip

Its a good idea but to be honest the Crew Leader wont need to know who is tributes alot or who is a good earner, If they have 4mil earning at a 11 day old account you know they are working hard earning money weather it be donations or drug runs.

And another thing the tributes will stay in the leaders personal untill he/she delates them.

Report Post Tip

I didn't say crewleaders couldn't tell who was a good earner and who wasn't, I said this would make it easier to see the difference between someone who earns a lot and someone who tributes a lot. No leader really has the time to sit and wade through personals to add up how much someone has tributed, which is why this is a good idea as it saves a hell of a lot of time and effort with regards to that.

For instance; Person A sells 100 credits for 150k each, he donates 10 million of that over the course of a week or more and his earnings now say 10 million, however he has actual earnings of maybe 100k. Person B works hard but has no credits, his earnings are over 500k and he tributes everything he earns bar drug money.

Now the question, is which one appears better in the crew page? Obviously Person A as their earnings well outweigh the others.

Yes Saul_Silver... the true idea here, is to simplify a Leaders tasks. It would save him or her precious time. And i find it important to know who tributes and who does'nt!

Report Post Tip

I would only find this useful if it made a difference to me who makes me rich by being active and giving me his cut of countless crimes and who makes me rich by directly tributing into my bank account.

If person A donated 10 mill and doesn't crime much, and person B donated less but was much more active and reached the same amount of total earnings as person A, then it makes no difference to me.

I guess it could be cool to see it, but I'm not sure if it is worth the coding trouble. Although if it's just an added line or two of code, then it would be cool to see.

I was trying to say the same as CrazyNine aslong as the Crewleader gets alot of money from his members it doesnt matter weather it is from criming or donating.

Report Post Tip

Sure, we can throw this in, however the math will be a little wonky since all the current data is combined, so only from the day the code is written and forward, would it be seperated.  (Meaning, only new accounts after the day its written will be 100% seperated and accurate, the rest will have the old total factored into their Earnings total)

I'll add this to the list.

Not sure if this has been coded already, as I'm not in a position which has access to this info. I totally agree with AfroSamurai. Seperating the two will draw a distinction between 'credit sellers' and 'real earners'.

I don't agree with you here. But it's seems to be a common opinion on here nowadays. Button clicking, buying credits and the sky is the limit. Mafia is much more than that. AND I would never want to be part of an operation or family in which 'making money' is the only factor that helps you get your button.

This was actually added in yesterday, probably because you reminded people of the idea. If this is the case, thank you - I made this suggestion just over two years ago (as you can see), and it's nice to see it added in finally!

Report Post Tip

Well shit.. Had I known that AfroSam was you I would have shelved it for another year :)
