| The Shadows emerge on LA | Started by: Syn on Jun 28, '16 03:13 |

Syn stepped up the front steps of the Godfather mansion that he put his own sweat and blood into, he looked around at the landscaping and topiary gardens under palm trees and smiled at what he had helped to accomplish. He stood at the front door to the mansion and checked his pocket for his key and placed his hand deep into his pocket. Deeper and deeper his hand fell into his pocket until it hit the fabric. He pulled the empty pocket inside-out and stared at the hole in his pocket. He sighed, wondering at what point his key dropped to the ground. He peered out over the front lawn hoping to see if he could find someone with a key. To no avail he turned back down the stairs to track down his key. Just as he went to take his first step, a gardener opened the front door. Syn spun on his heel and caught the door just in time. He strode across the marble lobby floor and headed for the stairs. He gripped the banister and bounded up the stairs two-at-a-time. BobbyZ door was shut which was not odd but usually Syn was on the other side of the door, and he had not realized it was stained a different color on this side of the room. Syn made his way down the hallway to his office and thought to himself about whether his own door was stained that way. He could not check because BobbyZ had removed his door during one of Syn’s Open Door Policy speeches. Syn sat at his desk which was still empty from the day before. A single envelope lay on his desk. Syn opened his blinds and smiled as his desk is usually half of the properties mailbox and it took a solid hour just to open envelopes. He sat at his desk and turned over the letter. It was not stamped, it was not mailed, it was not even addressed. He turned the mail over, cautious of the contents he opened the letter slowly. A small note inside said, See me when you return. The note was in BobbyZ handwriting. Bobbyz knew he needn’t write his signature because Syn had seen plenty of his mails that he had shared with him. Syn opened his desk drawer and grabbed his knife and his piece just in case there was business to take care of. He left his office and headed for the closed door at the end of the hallway. He knocked on BobbyZ door and waited for the go-ahead to enter. |

BobbyZ tells his trusted enforcer to step out the room. “Hey Syn, pull up a seat. “ As tradition Bobby hands Syn one of the finest cigars in LA. “Do you know why you’re here? Today marks another memorable day for LA. Today *pause* Today we celebrate a new beginning here in Pasadena. Your hard work and dedication is something I’ve always truly admired. From the time Toby introduced us it’s been a honor to have you beside me. I am lucky to say I got to witness your progression from a petty thug to the leader you are today.” As tradition BobbyZ pours Syn up a glass of cognac “With that being said and the steady increase of our community I need you to take 21Savage and set up shop here in Pasa. I am a believer of hard work pays off and to be able to present you with this opportunity is such a honor.” BobbyZ slides a paper with an address |

"I will never fill your shoes..."he stares at his own shoes and smirks I barely fill my own. Though, i know you will do well sir. Please feel free to come by and give BobbyZ a hard time. While you are here feel free to make a few calls, bribe a few cops...you know...right hand tasks! |

Syn listens to GreenBean as he told him how to do his old job and nodded. "I sure will give BobbyZ a hard time. I plan to give Toby a hard time as well, it is my job. As for bribing the cops and making calls, I have to do that at my own place now, but I'll do what I can. I may need to borrow your key for a few minutes until I can copy it. " Syn whispers, "Don't tell BobbyZ I dropped his key somewhere in LA". |

Stefania had heard the good news and headed over to BobbyZ's headquarters so she could be there to help celebrate with the others. Bringing in a few bottles of bubbly, she found some of the others already sharing their well wishes and she waited until Syn was free before approaching him. "Congratulations! I know you're the perfect person for the job and I look forward to seeing the great things we're going to do here in Pasadena." She handed him a bottle of champagne with a grin. "Now we celebrate!" |

Syn reached out to graciously accept the bottle of champagne that Stefania had handed him. He checked the label and gawked at the pricey name and fancy bottle that she had purchased for the occasion. "Thank you so much Stefania, I am excited to help do great things here in Pasadena!" Syn removed the cage from the bottle and shot the cork across the room and filled his empty rocks glass with champagne. "Didn't expect to get this fancy, but this'll work" Syn filled Stefania's glass and smirked as he offered his glass as a toast to the people present. He took a sip of the champagne in his short wide glass and continued to mingle with those that had come to congratulate him on his crew. |

It was rare for Toby to drive himself since he took over as Chairman of Los Angeles, but today was different. As he sped through the streets of Downtown towards Pasadena on the east side of town Toby glanced down at the unsealed envelope sitting on his passenger seat. As Toby swerved in and out of traffic he recalled the reason he left his office today. Hundreds of letters and pieces of paper come across Toby's desk, but only letters of the utmost importance were sealed with the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company's logo. Whenever he saw his logo come across his desk he knew it required immediate attention and this was no exception. The letter, clearly penned by BobbyZ, informed Toby of the something he had been expecting for quite some time. Toby slammed onto the break and kicked up dust as he came to a stop. Picking up the envelope he opened it and quickly skimmed over the writing. "Hmm. Time looks right but its so empty. I guess BobbyZ couldn't afford any actors." Laughing at his own joke, Toby haphazardly crammed the letter back into the envelope and dropped it on the seat. Toby threw open his door, stepped out, and straightened his coat jacket. Approaching Syn, Toby extended his hand and greeted his old friend. "Syn. I have been expecting this day for quite sometime now. Your father served me well and after his unfortunate passing I vowed to make sure you always had a home here in Los Angeles. You've certainly made him proud on this day. I know you will do continue to exemplary work in Pasadena." |

Syn was so pleased to see Toby and shake his hand this day. Syn sure has come a long way since the day of his father's funeral, he listened to Toby's words and the realization of what was taking place finally sank in. Syn had been so caught up in the moment that he had not even realized the huge step that he had taken, that no man in his family has stepped before. Syn was deep in thought when Toby gave him a strange look, wondering if he would speak. Syn snapped out of his trance and spoke, "I really appreciate you being here, it means a lot to me and I know that you worked with my father. I really appreciate what you said about him being proud, I'd like to think he would be. And I appreciate the home you gave me and the opportunities that LA has for everyone. I hope that I can offer the same courtesy to my own crew members and help them to accomplish their goals. Thank you again for coming today." |
