Star wars collection - HELP Started by: GreenBean on Jun 30, '16 14:00

I have a 1970's star war collection that I don't really know a lot about. A co-worker gave it to me because he didn't want it anymore. I told him I was going to sell it because it had to be worth some money.

I'm hoping that someone around here might have some knowledge on the topic that can help me.

I've done about two hours of google searching and its left me with more questions that answers. Anyone have any ideas of how best to identify, market, and sell a star wars collection? It consists of out of the box, played with action figures (80-150 of them), a Darth vader carry case, 4 leg at-at, 2 legs at-st, some larger creature things, a large ship of some kind, and other various pieces.

Report Post Tip

For the most part, most of the items will be worth next to nothing simply because they are used and not in pristine condition (New-In-Box).

However, there is always a chance that you have a gem on your hands. Best chance would be to contact your local toy shop/toy collector for an appraisal.

I live in a small area but we do have a toy shop! It is also known for ripping people off and low balling everything to the point of insanity. I'm not too far from a major city...I might have to check out some shops in that area. Thank you very much for the information and an idea of how to continue.
