DoctorBoom was a busy man. So when he called you in for a chat, you dropped everything to make it happen. ThinkinOutLoud was driving- expertly weaving in and out of traffic as the black car rolled steadily into Chicago on its way to The Loop. Keats was sitting in the passenger seat, habitually scanning the road for trouble. Not that there was any reason to expect trouble on this particular ride. Dexter sat in the back, his eyes closed in thought, sometimes quietly conversing with TOL or Keats. When the car pulled up to DoctorBoom's HQ, Dexter walked in alone. An hour later, Dexter walked out- a subdued grin on his face. Motioning to his RHM and LHM to get in the car, he joins them. As the car sputtered to life and pulled out into the road, Dexter leaned forward and spoke steadily. "DoctorBoom wants us to move to New York." He let that statement hang in the air for a moment as his subordinates processed it. "The North Side will be moving to the Big Apple. Get me back to the HQ quickly- and round up the leaders of the North Side. Get them to New York- tell them to meet me at this address. Until then, keep your mouths shut and your heads down. We have a lot of work to do." As his boss leaned back, Keats could see a thousand plans begin to take shape behind Dexter's eyes. *** The brownstone mansion was located at the corner of a busy intersection in Brooklyn. It loomed above its neighbors and its imposing gates seemed to preclude any sort of visitation. The mansion contained a tower on one end of the house that looked down on the shops, businesses, and apartments of Brooklyn- and one could see the skyline of Manhattan through the glowing twilight. Three cars pulled up to the mansion in quick succession. The first car slowed to a stop and a heavily armed security detail dismounted. Isorin stepped out of the second car, flanked by Liquid and James. Finally, Dexter's car arrived. He stepped out onto the sidewalk and stood in front of the gates- with Keats on his left and ThinkinOutLoud on his right. They stood there for a moment, quietly surveying the run down neighborhood and disheveled grass of the mansion. There was a gloom that seemed to permeate the air- something more than clouds and scattered raindrops: a thin grime seemed to cover everything. Eventually, the iron gates swung open with a screech and group made their way up the long walkway to the door. Dexter was in the the lead and he only needed to knock twice on the door before it swung open and the group was led down the hall and up some stairs. The man who had answered the door, as well as the occasional person they passed in the hall, did not impress. These were not men and women of honor- these were street thugs who'd stepped into a power vacuum and were "running" the city. Their boss had an office on the top floor- a bodyguard stopped everyone outside of scuffed, wooden double doors, protesting that only one person could see the boss. A small group of thugs had gathered, curious why so many newcomers had arrived. The crew from the North Side eyed them warily, unimpressed. Dexter went into the room alone. For a few brief moments, there was quiet. Then, shouts for help. The thugs tried to move toward the doors, but they were quickly dispatched by the North Side families. After a few more moments, Dexter called them in. The body of the "boss" was sprawled out on the ground, bleeding on a cheap rug. Dexter was sitting behind his desk, with his boots resting on its corner. "Come in, everyone." Dexter paused, surveying the men and women who had followed him from Chicago. "I met with DoctorBoom recently, and it is his wish that we- the families of the North Side of Chicago- move to the fine city of New York. After some... renovations... I will be making this mansion in Brooklyn my center of operations. For this, I will need Isorin to stand at my right hand as my Underboss." "For too long New York has sat empty, allowing scum like this to control its lucrative opportunities. We're going to help bring order to this city- to help it reach its potential. But the street thugs who have taken control, the police, the mayor, everyone in this city needs to know who we are and what we're capable of. Tonight's the night that we introduce ourselves to those who think they own New York. Tonight's the night where we claim our territory and make our presence known. Tonight's the night where we plant our flag and make our stand against those who would stand in our way. It's time to introduce ourselves to Big Apples. Tell your crews: get to New York and start doing what you do best. Whatever it is, it's time to get out to the streets and make an impact. This is a great opportunity for the North Side. When they see the signal, they should fall like the ocean on this city. Our city." *** A couple hours later, a single spotlight illuminated the night sky of New York. From the rooftop, Dexter looked out at the city of New York and smiled. He could already hear the sirens. |

Today had been a quiet day. Jesus didn't really have much to do so he sat in the HQ all day, drinking some cheap whiskey and smoking cigars. Jesus enjoyes quiet days like these, it offered him the opportunity to calmly think about his life, THE life, and it also made for some great shopping time. Jesus had made some good money the last couple days so he decided it was time for a new suit. Jesus absolutly loved shopping for suits, what he normaly does is go into the store and just throw a thick pile of cash on the counter. The shop assistants always new what to do. Today Jesus was looking for a more formal suit than the gray one he always wore. So he decided to go for black and white with a nice black fedora and a red tie. After getting dressed and going back to the HQ he knew something was up. As he walked into the HQ already craving for his next fine Cuban and glass of booze he was stopped by Diancie. "Hey Jesus, pack your stuff! We're moving to NY!" So Jesus did just that. He went into his office picked up his cigars and whiskey, which was all he had in his office apart from his two trusty guns, slipped his .38 S&W Special and his Colt M1911 into the pocket of his new suit and left for NY. After a couple of hours in the terminal and the plane Jesus finally landed in some small airstrip just outside NY. Luckily Isorin had arranged for him to be picked up and driven to the new HQ. Once there Jesus was disgusted by the looks of it, although they had been promised the same fortifications would be in place that were there in North Side they all just looked like crap. Jesus had arrived a bit after Diancie who asked him "How come our fortifications look so terrible?", Jesus did not know for sure but he anwered anyway: "I hope it's just a fault by the construction workers, 'cause I don't wanna go kill a bunch of people on our first night in town." But Jesus had lied to Diancie, 'cause less than anhour later JEsus was already killing hoodlums and robbing stores the way he did in North Side. Isorin had asked them to make sure the people of New York knew who was boss in town, and JEsus made sure they knew... Oh, and how they knew. |

With time passing by, the time to make sure NY's Chief of Police was cooperative was underway. Peralta, after having a bodyguard drop a note off to himself about the task of taking care of the Chief of Police and making sure he offers his full and utter cooperation to the organization's NYC takeover, only leaving a reminder that taking over NYC would be a part of what the crew could do; he was tasked with intimidation to any cost to make sure he offers cooperation. Peralta was gonna do just that, but it would've taken some planning, the city's major police precinct was within walking distance from where the HQ was located; he decided to take a small stroll over to the police station, upon arrival he started to get a good look at it; examining it from head to toe, eyeing the windows, the entrance and seeing if there were any accessible alleyways; knowing it would be a stupid move to even try it at night or during the day a frontal assault straight for the Chief without getting in deep shit with the police department. Peralta knew this would be a risky move but he would have to play it off well for the sake of his family, as vague as it could end up he had to play his cards correctly. Peralta went back to his apartment and began planning, without a simple word to write down specifically when it was only left to able thoughts; his brain sparked with an idea, to wait it out and follow the Chief to his house; but he'd have to get equipment before leaving for the entire job. Peralta left for a hardware store that wasn't too far as it was mostly the store he went to always as a child and by catching the attention of the owner he could always count on his friend to pull even the most of favors for him. Peralta went into the store during the evening and approached the counter giving a welcoming smile to the man standing behind it.
"Hey, Johnny. I need you to hook me with some equipment, I'll pay like always. Some scotch tape, I'll handle the rest. And yeah, I know it's not much to order but it's nothing major and I just need one thing missing on the list."
The owner left the counter, opening a door that lead into the back of the store where a bunch of boxes and latest equipment is stored, he wasn't that cruel to go ahead and steal from a store that was owned by somebody he knew, a childhood friend at that point, Peralta spotted the man leaving the backroom and heading back to the counter as he passed down some scotch tape, expecting payment in exchange for it; Peralta knew that was coming as he dug into his back pockets, pulling out some cash and sliding it across the counter as Johnny who is the identified store owner friend gave the scotch tape over. Peralta began to wave Johnny off as he left the store, heading home which was near walking distance and finally opening the door to his apartment and sitting on the couch, beginning to plan out the kidnap mission of the Chief. Tonight's the night, darkness overcrowded the sky and it was time to move. Peralta left his apartment in a rush with gloves on, with his gun holstered under his jacket and with a wicked grin planted on his face he got into his car and began to ride off to the police precinct as he turned off the engine and began to stalk the place until the man himself stormed straight out those department doors; beginning to check the back of his car to make sure everything was in order. He was prepared for the situation incoming. There he was, the Chief of Police, the man willing to make a decision at any given moment to the FBN with their consistent talks; giving him an owl's gaze as he hopped into his car and rode off onto the road, Peralta started the engine and began to tail the man to his sweet home; following the regular traffic flow of course. The lead to his house was getting close as the Chief stopped in front of an apartment; his home, the time to take begins now when no one is out on the street. Peralta parked his car right behind his as he exited the vehicle swiftly and closing the door as quiet as possible, beginning to speed his walking pace to the man before he was able to jab his keys into the doorknob and access his home, the plan behind the entire kidnap was a quick snatch and grab, pulling out his Colt M1911 .38 and immediately whacking the gun upon the back of the man's head as he sees him collapse down onto the sidewalk, sighing and beginning to holster his Colt M1911 .38 inside his jacket; picking the man up by his arms and dragging him on the floor as he opens his passenger door and throwing the man onto the seat lowering his head as he hopped over the hood and sliding int othe driver seat, riding off before anyone could realize. Peralta head straight for his apartment which was ten minutes away, speeding up as he began to take shortcut corners and eventually ending up stopping right in front of his home as he looked around the area before quickly stepping out of the car and opening the passenger seat and dragging the man out of the car before shutting the passenger door as he started to drag him on the sidewalk with a grunt, the Chief was heavy, too much food probably. Peralta obnoxiously opened the door and threw the man straight in the living room before shutting the door quick and taking in a deep breath and exhaling, staring at the man still out cold on the floor. Peralta began to roll the guy over and head over to the kitchen where he put the scotch tape as he ran over back to the Chief that was yet unconscious on the floor, putting his wrists behind his back and beginning to tape his wrists together heavily and then putting his ankles close together and taping that part as well; making his escape attempts all the more harder as he tossed the scotch tape on the floor knowing he did not have much time, or at least so he thought. Picking up the man by the arms again and dragging him over to a table and planting the man on a chair letting his head hit the table as he pants, Peralta walked over to the couch and laid down, waiting for the man to wake up. Time was of the essence, time passed slowly as Peralta heard the man awake from his unconscious ruse, he began to wiggle around and have panic in his voice with stutters.
Peralta walked over to the man, punching him straight in the nose with no remorse. He was intent on completing what he was told to do, and that was something he planned on completing tonight at all cost. "Shut the fuck up and listen to me! Okay?! You're gonna do exactly what I say, and what I want for you to follow very closely is that right now you should be very afraid, because your cooperation from here on out depends if you end up out the door and get to live another day." Peralta smacked him again, afterwards punching him on the nose to a point where he'll bleed, classically watching the man throb his head back with each punch and with his nose dripping with blood and his outer skin of the nose turning completely red as he moans in pain.
"Wrong answer. You think I don't know where you live? I'll have your entire family eliminated."
Peralta was closely getting frustrated, as he began to unleash his fury on the man and beat him to a senseless pulp, being careful to control his emotions because then he might make the man not able to talk sooner or later, he went over to his bedroom where he had a wooden bat in-handy; normally a alternative weapon in-case of home invasion; he thought there was no better choice, his gloves ripe for the grip as he began to drag the bat back over to the Chief who was in more or less a wounded state at the matter with the act of being beat senseless, Peralta decided to kick it up a notch. Peralta moved the table back, raising the bat and doing a full-force swing straight for the individual's right kneecap, then moving over and slamming the bat on the left kneecap, hearing the man shout in pain; Peralta wasn't even finished yet, beginning to hit the individual in the stomach with the bat as full forced as he could several times, then switching back to the constant whacking of the man's kneecaps.
Peralta plastered a fat grin on his face, dropping the bat and getting straight into the man's face like if it was some sort of interrogation; at least it was considered one. "Listen here. Angeli della Morte wants to make a deal with you, scumbag and you will agree to this, otherwise you won't see the light of fucking day, we plan on taking over New York and exterminating the pieces of shits that currently occupy it organization-wise, the takeover will be one of the many things we will be able to do, we have enough power to make your day a living hell and we have the stomach to fucking end you at any given day whenever we fucking see fit, there could be an investigation but nobody will find a trace. Many won't care for you because you're probably a piece of shit Chief who only hogs off his own department and probably steals from the rest of it's members too. You are better off making a working relationship with us, and to not harass any of us in anyway. Or so help me you will end up in this very chair once more and we will be back to fucking square one. Got it?"
"Good answer. Time to go to sleep now, make sure when you wake you go home, the night is still fresh." Peralta unholstered the Colt M1911 from his jacket, immediately whacking the gun upon the Chief's head as he propelled off the chair and onto the floor, leaving himself into an out-cold state, going down and beginning to remove the scotch tape from the man's legs and hands as he starts to drag him out of the apartment, back out into the darkness and cold. Peralta didn't have much time before he had to pack everything up for the big move, starting to drag the man into the an alleyway just behind a massive house; hopefully where nobody will find him. Peralta dropped the man off and clapped his hands together, finishing the job completely. |

Dusting off his expensive suit and straightening his collar Isorin made hiw way over to his good friend and now Godfather Dexter... He looked over to Dexter and smiled "This is indeed a momentous occassion my friend, I have seen first hand how much work you have put it over the last few months" Isorin pauses for a few moments and surveys the new surroundings. "I reckon this place will scrub up rather well a lick of paint here and there it will be as good as new, I'll send some a few extra hands your way to help out with things, the sooner we get this place up and running the better". Isorin reached into his inside pocket and pulled out a golden hip flask and passed it over to Dexter "Here's a little gift from our friends across the pond, apparently it's Scotlands finest whiskey the bottle was a wee bit shabby so I bought you a nice flask to go with it" Isorin watched as Dexter opened the lid and took a mouthful watching the Godfathers face turn bright red as he did so "Good shit no" Isorin said with a smile. "Wev'e come a long way since we were hanging off of Maria's coat tails at Mano di Morte, she would have been so proud, it has been an honour to work with you and i will gladly stand at your side as we push on and rebuild the city, congratulations now lets go celebrate I know a nice little bar not too far from here" |

Aya feeling excited, she was glad she called ahead to get her new apartment set up, so she called some people to haul her stuff to her new apartment. She then packed a small luggage bag, packing all of her weapons in the trunk of her car, looking around to see if she was being watched, which she wasn't, as an after thought she ran back in to her old apartment, she grabbed her money and stuck it, in the inside pocket of leather duster. She put up her leather hood, apon walking out she locked up, she then walked to her car, as soon as she got in, she shut the car and started it. As soon as the car came to life, she pulled out of her parking spot. She stopped at the corner, waiting for a car to go by, she then pulled out turning left, a few miles later she pulled out onto a high ramp, driving on the high way. When she last looked at a map it only took a few hours to get there, she turned up the music and turned on the air. She started to speed up, and Bob and weave through the cars, she slowed down seeing a gas station, noticing she was about half way there. As she saw the sign to get to the gas station, she took it, she came to a slow stop, she then turned into the gas station parking lot. Apon parking she turned off the engine, and got out to get her coffee, it took all of five seconds to get it She came out with her coffee and got into the car and started it up again, she drove back out onto the high way a few more hours later she was in NY. She went looking to see what he looked like, and found a picture of him with his name under it, she went to go find out, where his usual hideouts were. She drove by a building, watching him and his two body guards come out, it was just like Keats said, she watched as he got in his car, he seemed to be heading home. Aya followed him all the way to his house, and instead of parking she pulled ahead, she parked across the street, she watched him pull into his long drive way, Aya got out walking to her trunk, as she opened it, she pulled out her sniper. She then shut trunk and ran across the street, and slide through the gap, just before it latched. She ran up on the grassy hill on the right side of the house, but it was still kind of in front of the house, she set up quickly, she then laid down on her Tummy, to see her target. Aya had a clear shot, not knowing she would get another chance, she took the shot, she saw the hole in his head as he fell to the ground. Aya packed up and ran to the gate, she then climbed the gate, she hopped down, on the other side, and ran to her car. Aya opened her trunk and put her sniper into the trunk, she then closed it, she got into the car, started it up, and drove off. |

Mysti sits in her leather desk chair and re-reads the note that Keats gave her:
She spent all morning picking out the perfect outfit for the job. Her new grey pinstriped suit definitely screams all business. The pale pink camisole that she chose to wear under it is classy (just daring enough to show off her ample cleavage) and soften the overall look just a little. She checks the clock on the mantel. It reads just past 11:00. It is time to go. She walks towards the door and pauses for one last check in the mirror. “Girl, you look fabulous. This should be an easy assignment,” she says to her reflection.
Mysti hails a cab and gives the driver the address. Maggiani’s is the first (and hopefully last) stop of the day. Many of the uptight Wall Street types will be there in a little under an hour. The cabbie weaves in and out of the heavy Manhattan traffic narrowly avoiding a collision with a young runner on a bicycle.
“Hey cabbie, watch where you’re going. There is extra in it for you if you get me there on time and in one piece.”
He looks back at her in the rearview mirror and nods slightly in understanding before resuming his seemingly reckless weaving. She will never get used to the drivers in the city. It’s a far cry from her little hometown in Ohio. Finally, the cab slows down and pulls over. Mysti pulls her watch out of her purse and glances at the time. It is 11:45. She’s a little early and still in one piece. She pulls out the fare and adds a little extra as she promised.
Stepping inside Maggiani’s, she is greeted by the maitre d’. “Good day, madame. How many today?”
She sees a high top table in a secluded corner that gives a good view of the entire restaurant. Acknowledging the maitre d’, she says, “I may have someone joining me later. I’d like that table right there.”
She is led to the table and then sits down. The waiter approaches, but before he gets to say anything she says, “I’ll have a seltzer with a twist of lime in a tall glass, please.”
Mysti shifts slightly in her chair making sure that her shapely legs are clearly visible. She lights a cigarette, takes a long slow draw on and blows out a cloud of smoke. Her second comes in and sits a nearby table. Scanning the restaurant looking for a potential target, she sees no one of interest. Thinking to herself, “It’s still fairly early. Give it time”.
Then she sees him. An expensively dressed, middle aged man who was a little soft around the middle walks through the door. She recognizes him immediately. It is Charles Edward Bancroft, a millionaire who made his fortune on Wall Street with the help of his wife’s family’s money. A smile crosses her face and her plan is set in motion.
Mysti catches the waiter’s attention and motions for him to come over. “Send the gentleman sitting at that table a drink. Make sure you tell him that it is from me.” The waiter scurries away to do her bidding.
As she adjusts her cami so a little more cleavage is showing, she watches as the waiter gives the drink to Bancroft and talk to him briefly. Bancroft looks her way and lifts his glass to her, nodding in thanks. She takes another drag on her cigarette and winks at him. He stands and heads her way slowly. Crossing her legs, her skirt shifts and shows more of silk stocking covered legs. His lecherous grin shows her that she has him right where she wants him.
He speaks when he reaches the table, “Is this seat taken?”
“It will be if you would like to join me”, she replies. Thinking to herself, “This is going to be too easy.”
They conversed easily about all sorts of things and found that they have quite a bit in common. They are both from small towns and love to go sailing. After several hours, he said that he needed to leave, but would like to invite her to go sailing with him later that afternoon. He wrote an address on a napkin and handed it to her. He stood to leave and walked around the table to where she sat. He glanced around their secluded table and saw no one except for one man sitting nearby thoroughly engrossed in reading his newspaper. Bancroft pulled Mysti to him and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him and deepened the kiss. Her second was sitting at the perfect angle to take a picture of the passionate scene before him. She ended the kiss and whispered a promise in his ear,“there will be more where that came from later."
Mysti arrived on the docks at the appointed time with a large envelope in her hands. Bancroft met and tried to pull her into another embrace. She stopped him saying, “Not so fast. I have something here that I think you may find of interest. I know all about that agreement that your wife insisted be drawn up. If you are caught cheating on her, she will be entitled to everything and you will penniless.” She pulled out the pictures that were taken earlier at the restaurant and showed him.
He turned white and looked as though he was about to pass out. His worst fears were being realized. He stammered, “b-b-but I thought we made a connection and had something special going.”
“We did make a great connection. I almost feel bad about it happening this way... almost,” she replied.
“Is there anything I can do to stop this nightmare?”
Mysti takes him by his arm and leads him to the car that brought her. “There is something that will keep these pictures a secret. Come with me.”
Bancroft looks around uneasily at the interior of the limo. It's obvious that the owner has money to burn.
Mysti breaks the silence, "You asked how to keep those pictures a secret. It's quite simple really. You will be responsible for the safety of the family finances. All you have to do is advise on investments and facilitate the moving, laundering and stashing of money. Keep your nose clean and prove your loyalty will ensure those pictures will never see the light of day. You try anything funny and the pictures will be sent directly to your wife and her father. You will be penniless. Easy enough, don't you think?"
He takes a moment to let what the vixen sitting across from him has said. Knowing that he really has no choice he replies, "Yes, it will take some work getting things set up, but it is definitely something that I can easily do."
"Good. Now that we have that settled, I will take you to introduce you to my boss." Removing a blindfold from her purse, she covers his eyes. She feels him tense slightly as she takes away his sight with the cloth. She leans closer and whispers to him, "You have nothing to fear. This really is for your own safety. It is not time yet for you to know exactly where you are going." |
