Equilibrium is walking along, alone per the usual. His head tilted downwards lost in thought. His nostrils flare at the smell of a beggar sitting next to an alleyway. His ears perk up when he hears the person getting up to get out of the mans way. Equilibrium lifts his hands up and smiles in the direction he is supposing the beggar to be.

"No need to move friend. You and I are the same in the realm of things. Though I may be blind, I can see things without sight. How might              you be fairing?"

Equilibrium sits down next to the person and the smell of earth and urine fill his nostrils. His face almost grimaces but remains neutral. His head turning to the beggar with earnest waiting for his reply to his words.

Beggar: "The way things fair are simple and bleak. Though you cannot see me, I am dirty and meek. My poor choices brought me down to these  terrible streets, and left me broken, haggard, and incomplete. I've fought for just a piece of pie, and slept in the gutter about to die. I may not have a house, a car, a wardrobe of clothes, or a wife that loves me to the point I may die. But I do know,  my morals are straight with my compass pointing true knowing all I have done since day one is be not a lost fool. You see, these gluttons and bankers, politicians and fakers are running amok in our clean sheets. Leaving trails of pain and horrible ways upon the heads of our generations. They bring up the ones that are stuck to be what they will always be. Stuck and out of luck, wishing for a buck; to buy themselves a Christmas duck. So I'd rather be a beggar, then a fake prankster leading the blind to the mine."

Equilibrium listens in complete admiration to the mans words, and the way his tactful English engulfed his mind. He sat there contemplating the words and thinking what this mean't. His ghost like eyes wander around his head, coloring pictures from the mans words. A sudden shock hits his heart, his hand moving to his chest. A light shines bright in front of him and his body feels like the sun imploding. He imagines the way things would be and how they were. The effect of the enlightening shakes him to his marrow and thrusts him back to the earth.  Coming to, he feels tears rolling down his cheek the words settling in from the shrill buzzing of a vibration that was there all along. The frequency subsides and his hand reaches in his pocket where he pulls a wad of money from the confides. He numbly hands the money to the beggars lap and stands up.

"Your words have opened my mind more with the effect that is unspeakable. I cannot even put into words how it has made me feel. How long have you been here in this position?"

The man rises and places the money back in Equilibrium's hands. He chuckles and cracks a wide grin unknowing to Equilibrium. He places a hand on his shoulder and pulls him in for a hug. He whispers into Equilibrium's ear with a heavenly voice, sounding much like a woman's.

Beggar: "You have known me from the beginning of time, and you still cannot recognize me." She laughs a hearty laugh to which she continues "I have showed you the path and you have taken it. I have now once again taught you humility. Your kindness and virtue to what is true and right has brought you further down the Path. With this knowledge you can go forward as a warrior of light and bring peace among others. But be warned, You will reach opposition the further you go. I will leave you to your tests and trials. To which I hope to see you at the great gathering."

The true light's words settle deep inside of Equilibrium his mind had wandered to a peaceful valley from her words. His eyes able to see all that was contained. At the end of the diction, the setting faded slowly, his sight leaving him and his body going numb. He wakes from this meditation next to a tree of oak. The towering branches containing leaves that had shaded him through the meditations he had experienced. His voice cracks as he lets out a laugh of joy. The feeling of bliss flowing through his head and down through his finger tips and toes. He gathers his staff and heads back into the city to see what he can do with his new found enlightenment.
