Hi All, Here are my answers to the questions: What is your idea? Has your idea already been suggested in some form or another before? (Check the Suggestions forum for past threads with ideas the same or similar to yours.) What does your idea entail? How can your idea be successfully implemented into the game as it stands? What major changes would be needed to make your idea work? What is the positive impact of your idea? What is the negative impact of your idea? How may your idea affect the rest of the userbase?
Of course the idea may be modified So, what do you think? |

A while ago now (I'm talking a few years maybe?) there was a general consensus among the users and the admins that there was too much money in the game. Most things added since then have been to reduce the amount of money flow here to avoid the ugly mess of someone having huge pockets ourside of our little world and simply being able to buy their way to the top and keep themselves there. You'll struggle to find support for getting something for free around this neck of the woods I'm afraid. |

Well, this is not my intention, KevinOwens. My intention is to do something with this strange feeling that I am unfair to the guy who worked for me for month (well, this guy is not real, but still this feeling is bad :/ ) Regarding having CAs - I got mine without using real cash. I believe that I can do anything I want with this approach if only I will have enough time ;) Yup, getting this one took some time but it was worth and it was really enjoying for me. In this situation, maybe you will help me to adjust my idea to game reality? How about then pay for converting CA to BG in ingame cash, or maybe after hiring the BG will be not trained (but then of course you will pay for him less)? |

I've not been around for a while so still getting to grips with the mechanics of the game still but if it was to be implemented, there has to be an equal/fair way to trigger that bodyguard. I'm sure other users would be better suited to thinking of ideas of how that could be done as I'm still re-familiarising myself. But extremely simple ideas could be all CA units must be sold above a certain price to trigger the BG (9.4k for example), or so many drug deals must be done in each city. I really don't know, there's probably a hundred ways to do it other than feeding the machine another 0.5 credits. I too earn my own money to exchange for credits but there's still a large percentage of 'casual' players here who can't earn enough to buy enough credits. |

The main idea behind CA's (and NPC's, which preceded them) is that they will earn their base price and turn over a small profit each month. Provided that a user doesn't 't squander the units or experience the unusual event of having them killed, people should be able to keep a cycle of CA's comfortably. I'm worn out from hearing that there is too much money in the game. It's repeated too often without us actually taking a step back and considering that statement. Credits are always sold at a maximum price. Crime payouts have been lowered, maximum drug prices have been reduced, (yes, granted, you can nickel and dime your way through district travel) and organized crimes were made tougher than they had previously been in the past. Player-owned casinos were removed. The MRSE that provided a small amount of money towards active businesses was removed. It costs money to have your posts count towards something in activity. The new bodyguard training feature costs multiple times more to train than it pays out (Of course, once the Tyler raid feature is released, that will be a better indicator of how it affects our economy) and there are several features that were introduced for crewleaders that make running a family more costly, from the tax structure changes over the years to the introduction of the Mayor role. The people who buy their way towards a beast account inevitably die all the same, given that the BG cap hasn't been touched in ages. Obviously an idea that would inject a nutso amount of cash in the game is a bad thing, but a small change like this that gives a user a small chance (like the loaded bodyguard that occasionally comes from launching jail) for a reward isn't necessarily an awful one. I don't think in the grand scheme of things it will affect any perceived (real or otherwise) disparity in wealth from one side or the other. It could also be tied to the CA's performance as suggested, so there is some amount of work required in meeting a prerequisite. |

Maybe score in the Top 50 (last 60 days) to get him to convert to a BG? The higher up you are, the better stats he gets? https://mafiareturns.com/stats/ca_earnings.php
(The top 50 now is a little jacked because theres some double unit CAs in there from a contest we ran before, but I can code it so that the double CAs don't show up in the list) |

Yup, that would be nice - so here are some prepared options: Option A) - "hire" option appears only when your CA is in top 50 regarding earnings - you have 100% of chance to get a BG if you choose "hire" option - the more CA earned the better stats the BG will has - the amount of money you should pay depends on BG stats and how many BG person already has. Still it should be profitable for player as players first had to put in effort, so lets say it can be formula like this: assumption: topNo - which place in top 50 it has skillLevel - skill level of BG (which is count from topNo), where chosen skills are random nextBgPrice - amount of money which should be paid for this player to hire next BG and level him up to the max alpha - value from (0, 1) which adjust profit of hiring BG this way (probably 0.6 or 0.7) formulas: skillLevel = 50 - topNo priceForHiring = nextBgPrice + alpha*10.000*skillLevel*(1 + skillLevel)/2
Option B) - "hire" option appears only when your CA is in top 50 regarding earnings - you have like 20% of chance to get a BG if you choose "hire" option - the more CA earned the better stats the BG will has - you always pay the same price, for example 0.5 credits or 250.000 or something like this formula: topNo - which place in top 50 it has skillLevel - skill level of BG (which is count from topNo), where chosen skills are random skillLevel = 50 - topNo
Option C) - "hire" option appears only when your CA is in top 50 regarding earnings - chance that hiring will be successful depends on place in top 50 - CA is always named and have stats like: 2 in Rage (always the same) - you always pay the same price, for example 0.5 credits or 250.000 or something like this formula: topNo - which place in top 50 it has chanceOfHiring = (51 - topNo)/50 * 0.9 * 100 [%]
Option D) Take everything chaotic from A) B) and C) and use it together
So, which one do you like the most? |
