Ok I noticed that there isn't a 24 thread (maybe there is and I haven't seen it), and we're up to episode 13 now. Here is what grinds my gears about the season so far. (I posted this on another forum on another website). A little heads up, If you havent watched up to episode 13 this WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS!!! You have been warned!

 I am seriously starting to hate this show now, and thats a big thing for me, I watched the first 4 episodes of season 5 when it aired and 30 minutes after watching episode four I was at Virgin Megastores (I know lol) and I had bought all the other seasons, if I were to start from season 7 or 8 I'd probably not bother. 

 Seriously, the only thing I've noticed is that, LAPD SWAT and CTU Tactical don't apparently wear any form of body armour, either that or terrorists are head shot experts with silenced weapons in the dark. And can also easily get the drop on SWAT members who have been forewarned about where a shooter is. (But not Jack, no no no, wearing standard bulletproof vest, unlike military grade body armour of tactical teams, Jacks kevlar vest can take a couple of shots from an M4 and only break puncture a lung, but a 9mm into a full body armour jacket, possibly with trauma plates, as they looked pretty bulky, can down a man instantly. 

 Also, in the current climate of global terrorism (thanks GWB) a state of the art brand new facility like CTU has decided no-one would ever use an EMP on them (not like they use computers or anything is it?) and have decided not to shield their systems, okay, the computers and systems at the main entrance were directly exposed, but CTU's inner sanctum is a couple of floors down (i'm not completely checked out on the schematics, at one point the lift took about 10-15 seconds to get down to the room with the big screens from the surface, but then the tunnel which is on the same level as said room, appears to not be steep at all, and doesn't seem to merit the lift ride duration, unless its a winding tunnel that goes down like a massive car park, but that would have to be really massive, since the bit of the tunnel we see is very long anyway and at that gradient would require a ridiculous amount of levels lol. And since it apparently is New Yorks only line of defence against terrorists would it be too much to shield it? Or was all that just a pussy move to explain why Dana Walsh or whatever her name is wouldn't be able to give the parole guy the raw video feeds from the robbery? 

 Also, I've noticed that in a rather ridiculous attempt at a plot twist we see that surprise sur-f-ing-prise that CTU has a MOLE in IT!!! OMG that's never happened before!!! Surely by now whoever is in charge of HR at CTU has been fired for not screening all these people properly. I'm looking forward to see what tenuous relationship Dana has to the terroristas, hmm my bet is She lived in whateveristan as a child and was radicalised under her old name and no one at CTU spotted her false identity and thats the cover for it? Either that or its just some more boring Dana-Gets-Blackmailed plot. TBH i'm sick of her and wish Cole had shot her with those other two punks and tied up that poor storyline. 

 As you can tell I get pretty annoyed with some of the crap TV shows come up with, yet like a sheep I keep watching in the hope it gets better. 

 Also, Renee "Psychopath" Walker, needs to get killed sometime soon, I mean stabbing Jack??? Aww what's the problem? Couldn't little miss "I wanna be a female Jack Bauer" handle a guy forcing himself on her? Because if she was Jack she would have stayed cool and snapped his neck, but noooo she goes on a rampage and stabs Jack as a result. Also, she is spoiling my TV having to show her freckled face in 720p, it's doing my head in, and shes always looking sweaty lol 

 Seriously the people over at 24 need to get their act together, it used to be an amazing show, now it's just pandering to conventional plot lines with the usual mole twists and only Jack Bauer can kill the terrorists. It used to be that when a CTU Tac team was called in...that was it for a bad guy, he was done, finito, now though, get yourself a Beretta 92FS and you'll be almost guaranteed to kill them all.
