A cardboard box rests on the side of the street. A man begins to walk toward this box. He walks with purpose. His hands swinging at his sides, each stride long and forceful, plowing through anyone in his way. His black suit is anything but bold. Black, it is. His pants fit him well, however it's not exactly taylored to the length of his legs, and his jacket is the same. The man approached the box, takes a deep breath, steps up, and begins to speak. Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Before I start, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Back. I'm fairly new to the streets of Las Vegas, but this sidewalk is exactly where I want to be. So, why am I here? Why am I standing on this cardboard box,speaking to all of you on this hot day, while most of you probably just want to get to the the slot machines or the blackjack tables, and try to win a few bucks. I'll tell you why, 'cause these streets suck! I hear all these great stories about how live these streets used to be. How much everyone in our world would get out there and shake up the concrete with their strong words and powerful points. I've never had the chance to see these streets in their hay-day, but I hope to see a day where the life will be revived. Where anyone will just climb on a box, as I am now, and just start to speak. To speak and speak until their words get through every thick skull that might be listening. With your help, we can make that happen. Live a little! Take a freeking chance! Shake things up! Tear down these buildings and rip apart the casinos until YOUR point is through. Until YOUR heard, and YOUR noticed. And for the sake of everyone who calls themselves a mafioso, do your family proud! Back steps down, and continues to walk down the sidewalk, hands in his pockets, not exactly knowing where he might go next. |

I must say my dear man, your lust for life and stark enthusiasm are a breath of fresh air. Apathy has become so ingrained with most of us that we start to take it for granted, and it's refreshing to see such optimism to say the least. Keep it up compadre. |

Hearing some one speaking on the streets, Misty Wyn slips up and smiles a sarcastic smile.. Oh, no, If we start speaking out and talking some one might hear us and do as we ask, or even worse, some one might listen to us and point out how "Wrong" we are... We can't speak up, We're just sheep dear sir. Misty Grins her normal grin and extends a hand to the young man. Glad to hear some one speaking with their voice not every one elses. |

She smiles at the latest newcomer to the Las Vegas streets.? Welcome, Back, to Las Vegas... To Sin City... to the Sodom and Gomorrah of the West. I agree with you. These streets lack the vibrance and vitality that they once had. Venturing out into the plazas was to enter a veritable carnival of excitement and enrapturing debate. I look forward to your efforts to bring it all back, Back. Welcome. |
