| Are these type of wars good for the game? | Started by: Googlez on Sep 07, '16 22:07 |
| I'm curious as to what people think. Also if an admin wanted to share some monitary insight I'd love to hear that as well. | |

Its kind of a double edge sword. Those that are bored with the game because they feel the top has choked the life out of it, come back and play with vigor again. Those at the top, are bitter, but still come back. Those in the middle that had nothing to do with it, feel like they lost all their work for nothing, and leave. Soo, users leave, users come back, kind of a "user swap' scenario. |

| That's interesting squishy. Do you see fluctuations of credit purchSes after wars? | |

Credit purchases are kind of a swap too. Todays war for example, we received 4 payments, 25, 10, 25, and 2. It could be because they died and are restarting and want credits, but at the same time, some people who would normally buy credits may think its futile because now those they like are no longer at the top. Normally there is a spike in purchasing of credits after a war depending on the general feeling towards those at the top and if they feel this is a character they can build and see an immediate future for. |

I think the game changed a number of years ago and we pretty much either have small-scale removals or site-wide conflicts. Personally I find the part in between these wars a little tedious. Unless there are a few competing factions who all have a viable chance of removing the others, which is rare given what people have to lose, it seems to be just a prolonged build period before we can do "this" again. For me, if we can't conjure up a system where conflicts are somewhat compartmentalised (which I guess must have been some of the thinking behind the geographical shift of the cities) and don't have to involve everyone, then I'm a fan of these wars and would prefer to see them more regularly. |

| If the rebuild was not such a pain in the assignment for us FNG's it would be fun. But to spend a month grinding just to lost everything when I log in sucks. | |

I was just speaking with some guys in Global 1, it would be nice to have a dynamic that allows people who arent in crews or survived after a crew disbanded to form a small gang of their own. People who can take the "spoils of war " while everyone else kills each other and dont have to have millions of dollars to start a mob or something. I don't think this will change anything, just putting my 2 cents out there. This game has so much potential for more. |

These new era takedown/wars are seriously hindering. I mean its just a matter of who has the rank and/or gun. I applaud to those who have it and continue to remain on top of the cycles we have in the game. But war should be a last option at all costs. Hitting the mattresses should be avoided like the plague. Maybe its because I'm watching the Sopranos for the fifth time but maybe there should be more consequences or a different way shooting goes down. Everyone these days understands the protection level, and what it takes to remove someone. I mean its pretty indifferent theres no risk involved and all it takes is a few people to remove a whole city over several hours. Would be great to have a much higher risk or something in regards to wacking. |

I don't know if I necessarily agree with you Ivan. The real skill isn't in who can click their mouse the best, it's in the preparation; knowing who has the guns to do the damage and removing them before they can damage you. If you under-estimate your opponents or gauge things wrong, then we see a protracted fight, and then it's anyone's guess what can happen. Everyone is killable, even the ones at the very, very top... it's just a matter of selecting the right strategy for the right fight. Granted for the most part take-downs are simple and efficient, but every so often we see a big fight, which is what we're all building for when all is said and done. Nobody is immortal, it's the very nature of the life we've chosen. |

"One city in the entire game. That answers your question." And now that city will shoot each other. Wars are great for the game, I just never understand how people don't learn from the past. |
