Tosti strolled into town finally the road had been hard, many people did not want to pick up a hitchhiker. Scared of her  or something as if she looked like a serial killer.  Dust covered her from the top of her black crowned skull to the tips of her black combat boots . She had swiped them  off of some dead body a  few years down the road. Living as a street rat had taught her to take what ever was offered and needed. Never take more than you can carry.  She did not know anyone in town , but knew she had to hustle up some work. All she had was a note from her cousin, she had promised Tosti that if she ever ended up in Chicago it would help her acquire work, or possibly more.

She stopped in the windy city, to look for work . Her cousin had written many letters about the how lucrative it was to  work in Chicago. The breeze blew through her hair and riffled the paper in her hands as she read an old letter from  her  cousin  telling  her who to go talk to for work.  No time like the present she thought as she continued on down the road.

Disheveled from the road she knew was not quite presentable, but nonetheless she needed work. Her hair was a mess, dirt mired her face and her jeans were torn. Room and board did not come cheap these days  and the penny did not come easy.  She arrived at Project Valkyries doorstep, as per the directions in her letter.  She hope this was indeed correct place. A stoic man answered the door eyeing her suspiciously until she handed the note in her hand to him  not saying a word she simply stood and waited. He read it quietly and stepped aside indicating that she should enter.

She knew nothing of the criminal world but she also knew this was where her education would begin.
