After a long day of heavy petting with his pug Awkward decided to head out to the store.  The air was clean and crisp and everyone was out smiling and riding their bikes.  Awkward was happy too but there was something missing in his life that made him uneasy.  The time was now to move in on his idea.  His idea about that American dream his father told him so much about.   He decided to share him and his father's (whom he recently lost in the war) idea so he turned to the streets to shout it out.

People of this great nation here me now!...or at least the people within 10-20 ft from me!  This country was built entirely on the American dream. But where has it gone?  I don't see it anywhere....It's gone straight in the shitter!  That's where!  Now, my father and I have dreamed too much to just let the american dream go down the crapper.  That's why I'm out here today, in the streets, right now to tell you that I am going to follow my dreams just like the we are suppose to.  I mean, this AMERICA! RIGHT?

(Waits for the crowd to stop cheering) 

People of this great nation I'm not asking to be the president.  I'm asking you to let the American dream be lived.  My dream is to someday have my own family in LA, let me live my dream.  Let me start from scratch at the bottom where I am now and climb and craw through the muds of trying times and the growing pains of rank, let me work for me and gain reputation.  I'm asking you all to let me do this on my own with no help from others and with out being gunned down.

Through the jails of an oppressive society, I raise my hands today searching for mercy as I shiver in the shadows of such authority to let my dream live.  And my father's dream and his father's...and my son's.   That is what I ask of this society today.

You can kill the man,  you can't kill the dream.  My kin will never stop trying to live the dream, until the dream has been lived.
