She laid basking her dark bluish black fur in the sunlight. The sun was her only consistent friend. Twice she had been in a pack. Both times she was the epitome of a pack member. Doing what was best for the pack and not herself. Doing what was asked ,no questions asked. She died for them even, which is why she was a wolf now. The Great spirit had decided to reward her for the tenacity of loyalty she had shown to her pack. Reincarnation is a beautiful thing, it rewards you or punishes you for past deeds. A wolf was a fine creature to become. She could now sit in the shadows doing her work as needed without expectation of conversation, or growing attached to another person, who could disappear without warning.
As a wolf she could have that sense of camaraderie without forging those human bonds , that will inevitably be broken. Yes reincarnation was a grand thing. Now her biggest concern was whether the sun would be out shining on her fur , or the rain would be pelting down on her fur. She would do as she had always done live for the pack. She laid basking her dark bluish black fur in the sunlight. The sun was her only consistent friend. |

Meandering through the streets the sun warming her dark fur was always a pleasant feel. She shook her large wolfish head at the antics of these humans in the streets. They were not like wolves, rolling with the waves. They did not like changes, almost as if they had a natural aversion to it. They did not have the wisdom of the animals in that change is inevitable, the only reason they do not like change is because the get comfortable where they are. Not because it is right for them any more, but because it is simply comfortable. Her thoughts finished and with a nice grassy spot in the sun calling to her now. She padded over to it , made three circles before laying back in the welcoming sun. Her head laying over her paws and ears perked in alertness. |

her lazy quadrupedal steps carried to a a park. The air was jubilant the laughter of children, and hummed with with chatter of the watchful parents. The sky was filled with fluffy clouds lazily dancing across the sky, a slight breeze ruffled her fur . A sudden flutter caught her attention, as she turned to look at it she found it was a frittering butterfly. Her playful nature excited she watched it first flit from one spot to another. Getting her timing down she crouched her rear in the air and her head down. Tail wagging happily and tongue lolling out the side of her mouth. There it is landing...landing... POUNCE. The insect fluttered in the air zigging and zagging that way and this. It lightly hit her on the tip of her nose. She shook her head and sniffled as the dusty feel of it wings hit her upon its escape causing a tickling sensation. The butterfly quickly forgotten , the wolf began her search for a new sunning spot she spotted a nice tree not far off and lazily made her way to her chosen spot. |

Anomander sat in the shade of his favourite oak tree and watched as TheWolf frolicked on the open grass with the butterfly. He smiled to himself as he watched her play, wondering wistfully what it must be like to be that carefree. It's true, she was a peerless hunter and when the circumstances demanded it he was under know illusion that she could be lethal, but in this moment she seemed at peace. He himself had found such moments few and far between since establishing his business ventures in Detroit's BlackBottom. The city had been a lawless place beforehand and it had taken an enormous amount of effort to secure his position. As the business took root, things had begun to run a lot smoother and he found he was able to take little breaks now and again to sit in the shade and read, or today, to watch TheWolf. |

On her way to her spot she sensed a familiar smell it was confidence and lamb shank. It could only be the alpha of her pack, a wolf could never mistake the odor of the alpha. Especially one that knew wolfs did not eat dog food. She padded over to a small boulder and pawed at the ground for a moment. She pushed her black furred nose into the fresh broken musky earth and nosed out a small mass. She soft mouthed it almost simultaneously turning back in the direction she came from.
As she neared AnomanderRake's feet she crouched down to her belly. Her ears were straight up, and tail swagging behind her as she bellied crawled nearer to him. Her eyes were bright as she gently dropped the dead squirrel at his side. She rolled it towards him with the tip of her snout offering him a piece of her hunt. |
