The night was young in the Brotherhood HQ. Bozeman, Chibs and BobbyMunson were sitting around a table shooting the shit and discussing their plans. It was hard to believe that just yesterday, the three of them were located in different cities, working for different families, and now they have their own operation in Downtown, LA. They caught wind of Don RobOakheart's announcement not long after he made it; information like that traveled fast. It didn't take them long to decide to give it a shot, being the first official family in Los Angeles. However, there was a slight dilemma. After the Don's announcement, a flurry of homeless shelters began popping up around the world. Bozeman wanted to get Brotherhood off to a good start, and these shelters would make that more troublesome. However, Chibs had a solution. Chibs took it upon himself to draw some attention to Brotherhood, hoping to put their name out there and share some of their plans with the world. With his brothers being busy getting things set up, he was the only one capable of doing so. He was relaxing at one of the busiest intersections in LA, waiting for an ideal time to jump up and cause a ruckus. It was only a matter of minutes until a fairly big line piled up across the street, waiting for the traffic flow to stop. Chibs jumped up and dragged a milk crate to the center of the intersection, getting honked at a dozen times in the process. While it may have been an idiotic idea, he got everyone's attention. He hopped on top of the milk crate. "Hear ye, hear ye!" The gathered crowd stared at him. Some cars even pulled over to listen. Most of them likely thought he was crazy and only wanted a story to tell. "Ladies, gentlemen, and Earnshaw; I come to you today with exciting news. On behalf of my boss, Bozeman, I would like to introduce to all of you; Brotherhood. We are the first family to take helm in the city of angels in the new world, and I'd like to share with you all a little about what we plan to do here. I don't want to ramble on too long, as I'm holding up traffic and pissing off a lot of people. However, our aim is to make Los Angeles a thriving city once again. We welcome anyone to try their luck here with us, and we'll do our best to work with each and every person who sets foot in this beautiful city, whether it's a fellow made member in our own headquarters or a thug on the other side of town. Unity is our top priority, and we truly hope to make something beautiful out of this city once again. Thank you all." Chibs hopped off of the crate and he could hear people cheering from their cars. They obviously didn't appreciate his speech; the impatient buggers. Chibs dragged the crate back to the street corner and took a cheeky bow. After smiling at a few ladies, he went on his way back to the Brotherhood HQ. |

Bozeman was of course watching Chibs from around a dark corner, always one to do something stupid to garner attention that one. Regardless, he felt that he got the point across, and the multitude of people not in vehicles seemed to be wavering towards the corner where the crate had been dragged. Why not try the masses myself? He proceeded to button up his suit a little bit more, leaving only the top two buttons undone so the wonderfully completed tattoo on his chest was easily seen. Straightening out the rings on his fingers, he climbed atop the crate and cleared his voice with a little "hum hum." Hello everyone! I see that you've had the pleasure of hearing from my little Irishman, Chibs. I, of course, am the brains of the operation. You may call be Bozeman. Ever since I was a young lad, Los Angeles has held a fond place in my mind's eye. Now, on the good graces of RobOakheart, I can gladly begin my own business operation in this beautiful bustling city. I can't detail much of what will happen with this business venture, the always prying eye of the feds make me a bit paranoid, see. However, rest assured that it will be very good for the community at large, and if anyone has any questions, my door is always open. Unless there is a sock hanging from the knob, but that's a story for another time! Bozeman reached into his pocket and pulled out a white striped handkerchief, wiping the sweat from his face. Perhaps insight into his personal life was a tad bit of a mistake. Alas, he placed the handkerchief back into his pocket and proceeded to speak. Anyway! I look brightly forward to seeing what the future holds, but I will not take your time here any longer. Bozeman nodded unceremoniously to the gathering, and proceeded to make his way in Chibs' general direction, back to the Brotherhood HQ. |

It's been years since I had known Chibs. Hell, my father, my grandfather...all my ancestors worked with his. So it was natural and I had no choice but to be bound to a friendship with him. I could even remember the day when he tried to show me his.... And damn was he mad when I found it cute. Like the caterpillar on my father's garden Cute! We used to get drunk, me with wine, while he stuck to his milk, and lay at our backyard, talking about anything under the stars. Well, he never gets up till it was dinner time.
"Chibs, Bozeman.... I wish you all the best in Los Angeles!" I raise my never empty glass of rum, I salute them.
"To your good health, wealth and never ending sex life... I wish you both and your family the best!"
Smiling at them, I say to myself, "What a great couple they make!" |
