You may or may not have realized this, but when someone posts on a thread that you have written, it appears in your DL. I do believe that they disappear after a while, not sure, though.

The problem is, when you get the personals message, the DL symbol doesn't blink. I am not sure if it is a glitch, something only I am experiencing, or intentionally done, but I think that it would be rather helpful for the DL symbol to blink when you get the message.

While this might be 'helpful' in your case, it would be less than helpful for many other users. Personally, I'd much rather look at the forums and be able to spot if/when someone has posted in my, or any other, threads.

As a leader, we get numerous flashing dl's per hour. Keeping this limited to just the more important matters is vital for us to ensure we spot the important stuff. So making it a default 'always flash on a post' is something I'd strongly disagree with.

That said, having an option in the 'Options' page to set whether you want it to flash or not would be a viable solution that I could agree with. I'm not sure if the benefits justify the effort required to do it though... it certainly wouldn't be something on my priority list.

This has actually already been put into place, Deimne. The option is "Always Blink On Personal" default is set to off, but if you set it to on it will blink every time you get a personal.

ok, so...as was proven earlier...the option is there...but it's broken.

The option doesn't work. Now I'm sad :(

When you set the default to always blink make sure you click save changes. I wondered why it was only happening to me as well
