From the depths of nothingness, she emerged. It was like a strange trip down the memory lane but she couldn't remember anything. For more than a week, she visited nameless taverns in Detroit, drowning her nonexistent sorrows in booze. Some days she cried. Some days, well, she missed sinning. She got laid (lots of times) and she enjoyed the casual after-sex murders. Bliss. And amidst everything, she baptized herself anew. The Eater of Sins. Oh, how the regular world quivers before the shifting tides of crime life. Sin Eater can't forget the time she lured a group of hobos to a 'nickle only' peep show. Like lambs to the slaughter, they were rounded up. As the hobos reached the marked location (an empty brewery), ragged children jumped on them, stabbing, slicing, snuffing life. Sin Eater watched in glee. She did a coup de grace for the hobo group's leader. Moments later, tears streamed from her eyes. Her slave children are now dragging the bodies in unmarked graves. Few bucks and items of the hunt were also gathered. Sin Eater was happy and sad at the same time. Now, Sin Eater walks in a drunken stupor. The streets are alive, just like sheets of music ready to be played. Everything is hazy, but she's ready to grab her portion of eternity. In her apparent glee, she forgot about her child companion. The boy gazed at her accusingly, no words fluttering from his mouth. Sin touched the boy's cheek and told him to be patient. "I raise my hat to everyone who are hustling hard. This is nothing but a mere message that can be lost in time. A reminder, an etching in the wall, or perhaps a casual poster that can hook your attention for few seconds. I want to dutifully express that we live in a beautiful and tainted world. This life of ours, this is something to be proud of. Every hustle we make, every skull we crack, it's like we are experiencing tiny bursts of power. These bursts gradually change into something bigger...then we have new power players. Ah, aren't we all excited with that? Our world is brimming with liquor, food, pleasures, and anything you can imagine. The Cities of America...for me they are gold mines waiting to be explored. Every time we travel and set foot to a new ground, we should be grateful. We should stop for a while and say 'hah, this is my time!' and everything will be better. The streets are also immensely beautiful. Casually dirty, but beautiful. Natural. Original. Totally unlike the shores I've encountered. Forgive my voice, it's raspy. Drank too much. I just want to holler, to emphasize that my friendship...my strange friendship...I offer it to anyone who appreciates this...this interestingly chaotic world we live in. There will always be booze, I swear." Sin Eater smiled then unceremoniously slumped near a milk box, drowsiness overtaking her. The child companion sat beside the drunk woman, ready to guard her from anything. Or maybe, just maybe, he's also a bit sleepy after Sin's tirade.
