THE OCEAN, UNDER THE SEA - 1928Deep down in the cavernous bubbling gulches of the Specific Ocean lay dormant a myth and an absolute legend; waiting for the world to be ready for such a magnificent beast. Just when he was certain it would never happen, things slowly begun to change for the better - entire cities were built and fell as he slept until finally it was the perfect time. His legs stretched forth and eyes rolled open. Not a single thought ran across his mind, but like a migrating bird he knew what he had to do and took off with a hurry. Finally, he had arrived. Snapping at a few gulls and humans alike, he lumbered quickly out of the water and made his way to shore. THE BEACH - 1933 Once the screams of the bystanders died down, the Creature went a ways down the shore until he bumped into the one who he had apparently been aiming for the entire time. They looked innocent enough, but he knew better than to assume by ones looks. The humans facial expression changed rather quickly when they realized what was about to happen. CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP!!! "It's the Land Sh-" An unlucky person exclaimed before they met the same fate as the first. CHOMP Again and again, he cleared out the entire area. They would remember who he was and what he had came here to do, he was the hulking creature from every mafioso's nightmare and he would retain his world heavyweight title belt. Once his first mission was complete, the Land Shark made his way to the next city. He would not stop until he had made a name for himself. THE CITIES - 1935He was ready to feast again. But not before playing in this sick ass pool that someone had installed into their very own back yard, the times were changing and he liked it. Wheeee! |

Sophia was minding her business walking through the streets when she noticed something a bit peculiar, it was something that she had never seen before though she remembered hearing stories when she was a child. Stories meant to crazy kids for not going out too far into the ocean. For her it worked, the stories of the landshark terrified her to the point she wouldn't even step foot on the beach. So to her amazement when she saw this beast walking through the street she initially jumped back and wanted to go running into the nearest building but there was something about this creature that enticed her. Perhaps it was misunderstood, perhaps it needed to just be shown it was welcomed here. She began walking towards the landshark along the way grabbing the kid on the corner who usually sells newspapers. She still wanted that buffer in between her just in case. "Is it true, are you real?" |

Are you real? It was a question that reverberated throughout his mind. Was he? How would he know that? Maybe nothing was real? Maybe he was the only real thing here and the woman and her child weren't real? What if he wasn't even here? Where was he? He started to feel sick - quickly stamping his feet against the ground just in case he was standing in front of traffic or something. After all, he had no idea where he was. Where was anything? He needed to think of something to say and quick, but he couldn't think of anything. Was his voice real? Could he speak? He had never tried before, but there was always a first time for everything. Maybe all he had to do was give it his best shot. Maybe his best shot was also fake?! He couldn't handle the pressure. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IS IT ARE YOU SERIOUS?" It was the best he could do on such a short notice. He hoped she would appreciate the attempt, if she was even here in the first place. |

She held her hands up. "My apologizes, I didn't mean to come across like that. I just remember hearing stories of the infamous landshark and now here you are in front of me." She still made sure the boy was in front of her, the size of the teeth that in this sharks mouth were huge and razor sharp. Wouldn't take much for him to sever a limb. "You seem to be getting a bit dry, what if I show you to some water to cool down?" |

Outside of a small coffee shop in the heart of Vegas, Olympia was reading the newspaper, enjoying some down time with her friend Abby and sipping on her lukewarm coffee. They had been sitting there for quite awhile and she wasn't really feeling like getting up, going inside and having the barista top off her cup. She had done enough walking that day already, so thirty steps there and thirty steps back was just too much. The breeze was rather crisp that morning and she was glad she had put on a jacket before making her way there, or she'd be shivering. She had finally found an interesting-enough story in the paper to absorb her attention when her friend said, out of the blue, "What the... What the HELL is that thing over there?" Olympia quickly looked up at her friend, and then glanced across the street to where she was pointing. Olympia wasn't quite sure what it was exactly. It looked like a cross between a shark and a horse.. What the.. She thought to herself. She shrugged and said, "I have no clue Abby.. I literally have no idea what that is.. Looks like a shark but.. It also looks like a horse. I can see it's teeth from across the street." It was then that she saw a young woman approach the shark thing. She giggled a little when the woman grabbed a child to put between herself and the animal. Olympia probably would have done the same thing. She didn't get up from her seat though. She was perfectly happy for now watching this all unfold from across the street. Tossing the paper aside, she sat back to watch the show and told herself that at a later time she'd approach the walking shark. She could hear him talk to the woman from here, because he yelled the words, and decided that it would be when he could put words together well and have an actual conversation with her. |
